This One Bible Verse Shuts Evolution Down

It’s a good feeling when something is finished. Whether it’s a construction job, the baking of a cake, or the writing of a book, finishing gives us a sense of accomplishment.

The Scriptures tell us, “Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them” (Genesis 2:1, KJV). The heavens and the earth were finished. Creation was complete. The horse was finished. It had been made by God with two eyes, two ears, one mouth, four legs, and a curve in its back to comfortably accommodate the curve of a human rider.

The dog was also finished. It had two ears, two eyes, four legs, one tail, and one bark. Both the horse and the dog also had all the necessary parts to breath air, digest food, see sights, hear sounds, and reproduce after their own kind. Plus, both had male and female. Everything was finished, complete, ready to go.

The theory of evolution says that nothing is finished. Nothing is complete. Nothing is ready to go. The horse is still evolving. So is the dog. To believe this, all you need is a big imagination, a small brain, millions of years, and the word “perhaps.”

Perhaps in millions of years, the horse will have five legs, another mouth, a bigger curve (people are getting bigger), and three ears. Perhaps it won’t. Same with the dog. Two barks? Three tails?

Evolution only evolves where it needs to evolve, and perhaps it will conclude that four legs, one mouth, a cool curve, and two ears are a perfect design for the horse. Same with the dog.

In reality, nothing evolved or is evolving. It was all created by the genius of God, and everything is complete. It is finished, just as the Scriptures say.
Then There Are Birds

“…and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens” (Genesis 1:20, NKJV).

According to the Smithsonian Magazine, an estimated 50 billion birds inhabit the earth, with around 9,700 different bird species. Of these 50 billion, approximately 1.6 billion are common house sparrows. All these birds are the distant descendants of those first created by God in the beginning. He created them male and female, and each continued to reproduce after its own kind, all the way to our modern day.

In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus spoke of wars being a sign of the end of the age:

And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. (Matthew 24:6-7)

All this will climax with the Battle of Armageddon. Revelation 16:16 speaks of the gathering of nations at a place called Armageddon, a term synonymous with a final, cataclysmic battle. Jesus said, “Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near” (Luke 21:28).

So, what should we do? Firstly, we should make sure that we are right with God by trusting in the Savior. Secondly, we must pray for the peace of Jerusalem and, at the same time, take the gospel to the unsaved.

The Scriptures tells us how the apostle Paul did just that: “So when they had appointed him a day, many came to him at his lodging, to whom he explained and solemnly testified of the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus from both the Law of Moses and the Prophets, from morning till evening” (Acts 28:23).

Notice how the apostle Paul persuaded men concerning Jesus. His approach was twofold. Firstly, he spoke to them out of the Law of Moses. Nothing persuades a sinner that he’s in great danger more than the realization that he has broken the moral Law (the Ten Commandments) and is justly on his way to Hell. Secondly, Paul spoke to them from prophets. Bible prophecy shows the hand of God in Scripture because only He knows the future, and He has declared it from the beginning until the end. An often overlooked sign of the end times is that the gospel will be preached to all nations. Here are the words of Jesus:

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:14)

Let’s do that. With the help of God, let’s use every moment of our time to reach out to the lost.

In 70 AD, Israel was scattered among the nations. The Jews had no homeland for 2,000 years, until 1948, when they became a nation in one day. The prophet Isaiah said:

Shall the earth be made to give birth in one day?
Or shall a nation be born at once?
(Isaiah 66:8)

This is what Jesus said of that event:

And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. (Luke 21:24)

Since that time, there has been continual conflict between Muslims and Jews for Jerusalem, and none of the nations know how to handle what is commonly called the ongoing “Middle East crisis.” Look at this prophetic passage from Zechariah, written thousands of years ago, as it addresses the crisis of Jerusalem:

Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it. (Zechariah 12:2-3)

Is War in Israel a Sign of the End of the Age?

War in Israel, and particularly the battle for Jerusalem, sends those who know their Bibles to key Bible verses. The re-establishment of Israel in 1948 was a pivotal event in the fulfillment of biblical prophecy.

The prophet Ezekiel, writing over 2,500 years ago, spoke of a future restoration of Israel:

Thus says the Lord GOD: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land.” (Ezekiel 37:21)

But enlightened mankind rejects Genesis and hasn’t the foggiest idea who laid what when. They don’t know where they came from, what they’re doing here, or where they are ultimately going. They do know that they are going to die, yet they don’t know what causes death, what happens after death, or what to do about it.

They don’t even know what makes a murderer murder. Experts have studied the profiles of multitudes of murderers so that we can better understand why they kill. With more than 600,000 who have committed murder (just in the U.S. since 1970) to study, they should have come up with a clear and common profile. But they haven’t. This is because they consider themselves too wise to believe the Book. It says the common denominator is that they have a human nature, and that nature is inherently evil.

The Bible also says that the wisdom of this world is “foolishness” (Greek moros; “stupidity”) with God. It also says that when men profess themselves to be wise, they become fools (stupid). I have seen this often, when atheists attempt to discredit those who believe the Bible by quoting history books that were written around the time of Christ. They blindly believe the historical recordings of men without a second thought.

The Bible calls those who deny a Creator a fool (stupid). Only dim-witted folks would say that a painting didn’t have a painter, that a building didn’t have a builder, and that creation had no Creator. These same folks often have blind faith in the theory of evolution. They believe a theory as though it were fact, and they look down on people who have a trust in God. As Napoleon said, they believe anything “as long as it’s not in the Bible.” This is because it is a moral book. From Genesis to Revelation, it accuses us of sin.

Are you fed up yet? Are you sick and tired of being pushed around, cornered, and pummeled by lust? Maybe you want lust out of your life but aren’t sure how to get there. Sex has been compared to fire. Fire is good if it’s contained in a fireplace. But fire can be horrific if it’s out of control; like a wild forest fire, it can cause tremendous destruction. Sex is great and good in marriage, but outside of marriage it has many devastating consequences.

Perhaps the “God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life” message applies only to the United States. Well that may have been the case up until the shooting death of Cassie Bernall on April 20th, 1999. She was shot in the head in Littleton, Colorado, when she responded “Yes” to the question, “Do you believe in God?”

Why Would Anyone Become a Christian?

If this is the truth about the Christian life, who in his right mind would choose to become a Christian? What would bring anyone to the Savior if it’s not the promise of a wonderful new life in Christ? Well, here is the answer in a nutshell. I couldn’t put it any more plainly than this—Hell is a good reason. That’s why sinners should come to Christ, because God’s wrath abides on them. Without the righteousness of Christ, they’ll perish on the Day of wrath. They need to repent or they will perish.

[Blind love for our children] shouldn’t be carried over to when the child begins doing ugly things. It is a tragedy when ugly doings are seen as cute. One of the first horrible things to reveal itself in a child is the back arch. This often happens when the parent uses the word “no” and stops the child from touching something he wanted to touch. The mom or dad then picks up the precious bundle, and instead of finding cuddly cuteness, they find the back arch of protest.

This is the first sign of infantile rebellion against parental authority, and if it isn’t dealt with, this seed will grow into a monster and destroy everything in its path.

It shouldn’t come as a shock to any godly parent when the rebellion comes. They have seen it in their own heart, so they know it is just a matter of time until it manifests. From that time on, a battle begins against the monster until it is destroyed.

Perhaps it makes you flinch to use the word “monster” when referring to your beloved child. Let me back up my description with Scripture so that any argument you may have will be seen to be with God and not with me.
[...]
“The rod and rebuke give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother” (Proverbs 29:15).

Let’s look at Scripture and see our potential for evil. Remember, don’t let blind love stop you from seeing how ugly we all are, including your child. He has been born with the seed of Adam resident within, and if it is left to itself, it will grow into a great tree of evil.
[...]
What is this monster that is within your child? The Bible tells us why humanity has such a propensity to do evil. It is because “There is no fear of God before their eyes” (Romans 3:18). If there is no fear of God, then there is no fear of the consequences of sin…there is no fear of Judgment Day or of eternal damnation in Hell.
[...]
So, reject the world’s philosophy, and instead embrace the biblical viewpoint. Again, God’s Word says that there is none good. Not one. Your child isn’t good. He is like the rest of us. His heart is evil. Face the ugliness.

The Atheist Test #fundie livingwaters.com

Billions of years ago, a big bang produced a large rock. As the rock cooled, sweet brown liquid formed on its surface. As time passed, aluminum formed itself into a can, a lid, and a tab. Millions of years later, red and white paint fell from the sky, and formed itself into the words "Coca Cola 12 fluid ounces."

Of course, my theory is an insult to your intellect, because you know that if the Coca Cola can is made, there must be a maker. If it is designed, there must be a designer. The alternative, that it happened by chance or accident, is to move into an intellectual free zone.

[ This is from the introduction of the book Evolution: A Fairy Tale for Grownups Subtitled: 101 questions to shake believers' faith in the theory. ]

This book will no doubt be seen by some as "quote mining." This is the practice of taking a quote (often out of its context), and using it in a way that was never intended by the author. However, every gold nugget is legitimately mined out of its context. No one seriously values the earth that encases the gold. So, when I uncover an evolutionary expert quietly admitting that he has no evidence to back up his theory, I don't see any value in the soil of his surrounding words. I merely extract what I believe is of value for those who want to discover the truth about the theory of evolution.

Here are some stories that may cause you to make a wrong judgment: Adam and Eve--Noah's ark--Jonah and the Whale--Sampson and Delilah--Moses and the Red Sea--Joshua and the Walls of Jericho. Do you believe that they actually happened? Before you answer, here is the missing puzzle piece: God, has deliberately chosen seeming foolish things to confound those who think that they are wise. Who would believe such silly stories? --Certainly not those who have any pride or intellectual dignity. God has made the door of salvation so low, only those who are prepared to intellectually humble themselves can enter.

See, when we bring up a lot of these irrelevant issues [evolution and anything else other than the threat of Hellfire and eternal torment], we're confining ourselves to the human intellect. The place of argument. Listen to Colossians 1:21. "The ungodly are enemies of God IN THEIR MIND." That's what the Bible says: the human mind is an enemy of God. The mind is a place of hostility, enmity towards God. [...] What we must do is learn to do what Jesus did. To circumnavigate the human intellect and go directly for the conscience. I can't emphasize the importance of this.
