Sometimes a quote comes along on FSTDT that I kinda wish I could “WTF” more than once, and this is one of those times.
And…I’ve actually BEEN homeless for a while, in the past. One of the shelters I stayed at a few different times was ran by the Christian church that was literally around the corner from it. Yeah, you maybe couldn’t forget that it was a Christian thing, but they never really pushed it on anybody. The worst thing that they imposed on anybody was that if you didn’t attend the church service on Sunday, you didn’t to get to come back to the shelter right after.
Though, anyway, I suspect Davey would say that that church wasn’t “real Christian” enough. There were “non-denominational” and I was pretty sure they didn’t use the “KJV” that he loves so much.

John himself says that words without charity are worthless. Simply telling people about Yahweh without sharing His love and care renders the Gospel message as meaningless noise.

There’s one more way to interpret “that which you have done for the least among you, you have done for me” and that’s to say when you preach at the “least among you” you’re preaching to Jesus himself. So when you correct Jesus himself in this parable, tell Jesus he doesn’t deserve anyone’s love even his own until YOU certify it on behalf of the God you claim to follow, tell him every bad thing you do to him is because his situation must mean he is personally morally deficient and so being below your station means that makes him worthy of hatred for existing. What’s that telling your “Lord and Saviour” other than your false piety, the thing he hated the synagogue for, is an entirely transactional affair using the name of what you’re stepping on simply as branding like a failing casino?
Sadly, many apostate religious groups today such as the Salvation Army have compromised their convictions, spending most of their time helping the needy at the expense of preaching the truth
Question: search how many people come to worship at Salvation Army churches and compare it to yours.
Simply put, there’s a reason why Christian missionaries often operated hospitals and schools: ten to one that plenty of natives converted not because of complicated theological courses but because they saw their good deeds and wanted to sign for the beliefs which grew such good fruits.
Well, this satanist over here did not preach shit when she had a couple of homeless folks around the parking lot last fall. I grabbed them whatever good stuff we had in our fridge and helped them to use our parkings outlets to cook it for themselves, we smoked some joints together and without any prosletyzing I was happy to simply help some fellows in a bad pinch.
