…so all anime since that one including “Gate: The JSDF Fought There” is real? Show us that actual portal in Tokyo where one can ‘Isekai’ safely to another world where one can meet an elf and a 961-year old halberd-wielding immortal demigoddess.

The words are different. If we meant ‘reality,’ we wouldn’t call it ‘fiction.’

I suppose there might be an actual point behind this, but if you’re opening is to dead-ass wrong, there’s no point in trying to identify/understand it.

Also, the biggest problem i see with pedophilia is that we don’t screen authority figures NEARLY well enough to proect the kids. Fanfic isn’t the problem, not when you can get one of those weird collars pretty much for the asking.

Could someone translate the fanspeak? I'm guessing this is something about the Netflix series, but can't figure out what they're talking about.

There was a really fierce shipping war in the Voltron: Legendary Defender fandom involving who the pilot of the Black Lion, Takashi Shirogane, would be paired with. Since he was one of the oldest members of the main cast, people who didn’t like him being paired up with other characters called any pairing involving him “pedophilic”, like they did with Sheith (Shiro/Keith).

I mean, Voltron antis also argued that Shiro/Keith is “incest”, even though they’re more like best friends. This whole anti movement is a ship war writ large that turned into what one Tumblr post I saw called “Kidzbop QAnon”.

Personally, I blame Twitter for becoming a super-spreader for this rhetoric.
