ā¦Eric, Iām not aware if youāre smart enough to figure this out (but I HIGHLY doubt it), but thereās a difference between robots and humans. Namely, robots are artificial designs constructed from metals and synthetic materials. Humans/Homo Sapiens are natural beings grown from a fetal stage and are composed of carbons and organic materials. Likewise, regardless of wether or not synthetic life can be sentient/sapient at all (whole other can of worms), itās still not ālifeā as we define it currently. So youāre pretty much comparing apples and oranges here. ā¦No, scratch that. Youāre comparing apples and boulders here.
Not to mention the fact that a robot hand is a human-made mimicry of what we see in nature. Unless youāre trying to say that we humans are gods (which is blasphemy) or that god evolved robots, I utterly fail to see your point.
Also, evolution is not pure coincidence. Itās a constant process of trail-and-error that takes place over millions of years.
And just FYI, Iām saying this all with THE MOST consescending tone physically possible.
I donāt think ācoincidenceā is the word youāre looking for. Itās literally āco-incidenceā, meaning two or more things which *incidentally* happen at the same time. Soā¦ the same time as what? The word youāre probably looking for is āchanceā.
Also, this isnāt āatheist logicā. Itās science, and even today, quite a lot of scientists are religious.
Itās ratherā¦ messy, isnāt it? This does not look like the perfectly streamlined top-down design of a cosmic mastermind, but like the wondrous patchwork of many, many iterations of trial-and-error bottom-up tinkering, filled with ingenious if inefficient improvisations and redundancies and the kinds of marginal utilities that one is unlikely to think of at the drawing board but wont to be discovered during practical useā¦
If you actually study the limbs of tetrapods, the evidence of evolution is obvious. It's also not that complex: you'll see a simple common trend that results in those fingers/toes. If you study the whale, you'll also notice that it's a mammal with vestigious limbs, because it evolved from a terrestrial ungulate. Science goes where observation and logic leads. Atheists have nothing to do with it, but they're your scapegoat and one of your straw men of science. Christians who don't reject reality have no problem with the fact of evolution.
Confused?
