Haven’t commented in years over but honestly can’t stand the straightedge voices all over without a counterweight:
1.Sobriety cult: Fuck that, you have your own poisons which you like? Go ahead, now if you overdo too much, you should have some gov agency to turn to for help. None of the cold turkey of Jeebus shite, though. There are people on this earth, who cannot do their day without some heavy drugs and trust me, you are no judges on their needs.
2. Not all drugs are equal and we don’t get enough of those comments. Pot is pretty much harmless, so are shrooms for most, booze, coccaina and tobacco are up to you and your own personality and should be legal, much like booze. Opiates, crack, meth, flakka, bathsalts and such and other highly enhanced shit that comes from them needs control.
3. To counter the idea, legalize, make help aviable, when needed and promote responsible use. Yes, it is possible even with so called “heavy” narcotics unless we are talking opiates or some other seriously fucked up comboes.
4. No prosecution against the users, you want to help them, then help instead: Ask the important questions, Are you sheltered? Do you have support? How the hell can we help you? Making complete abstinence any given condition for these programs is just wrong, medicine agrees. I’ve lived with some serious addicts, you cannot just make decisions above their heads. I am a loud and proud and unashamed addict myself(Stop using the word narcotics like an 80s ctp. Planet, Bacon can be a quite a deadly and addictive narcotic, courtesy of the whole south of the US of Fash these days).
5. Abstinence and sobriety should not be your societal goal. Conciousnes carries different challenges for each and every one of us, if you are happy to live it without drugs, I’m happy for you but let the hell off people who need a serious high to confront theirs.
PS. DARE did shit, the only thing it did was piss teens off with the hypocrisy, you were never allowed to fuck that lion with a middle finger and grab a doobie legally anyway, so it was just adding an insult to an already gaping wound.
