Yes, yes, if someone’s been driven to suicide, we should be less sympathetic with a lost soul, and worry more about the first one through the door. Uh huh.
That’s what kept me going through the tough years, how my death would tank the resale price of my home.

While it certainly could have been phrased better, I actually agree with the basic message. It's bad enough for your loved ones to find your body, but finding it like that will probably leave them traumatized.

Well, that depends… if the first one through the door happens to be the person’s small child or younger sibling for instance. But in that case, I think both deserve equal sympathy, not one less than the other. And either way, mocking and/or shaming the dead person as OP is doing is fucked up.

In most cases of suicide, it’s more because the patient doen’t care anymore, thinking everyone would be better off if he died.

Tragic as it is, the dead have no use for sympathy. Better to do whatever we can to prevent suicide in the first place. Make sure people know their lives are important before its too late.

So--suicide would be more acceptable if one used a more sanitary method of dispatching oneself?
