OK, this is a bit funny to me. A couple of months ago, I briefly thought about this very thing, whether there is any possible argument or a point-of-view under which you could claim that incest, or at least the sibling version of it, is less harmful than the various formerly-prohibited (interracial/homosexual), or at least somehow looked down upon (significant age gap) relationships. I highly doubt that this person is thinking the way I came up with to justify that claim, though.
Basically, I thought that, if you take a very narrow, limited and uninformed perspective on what is a healthy relationship and claim that the only reason a relationship would be disfunctional are possible inequal power dynamics in one. Then, if you take a similarly narrow perspective on what said inequalities are and what causes them, and claim that they are exclusively economical in nature, then, yes, under this extremely narrow perspective, you could claim that incestuous relationships between siblings, where both participants are all but guaranteed to have similar incomes and to be similarly wealthy, are healthier than age gap (where the older partner is almost guaranteed to be much more affluent and successful than the younger one) or interracial (where the member of the dominant/stronger group is very likely to have the same position as the older partner in the previous type) ones. Didn’t factor the homosexual ones into this, but I’m pretty sure this tortured logic could somehow accomodate such an argument as well.
Of course, this is a highly flawed argument based on an extremely-limited point-of-view which completely ignores numerous realities about how human relationships work, and which instantly falls apart when applied in the real world.
Also, I highly doubt that the OP, who is an mmo-champion.com poster, is the type of an extreme anti-capitalist who sees economic inequality as the source of all oppression and power inequality, and so would maybe consider such an argument as one worth thinking about.
EDIT: Also, since people in here are talking about it, here’s the map from Wikipedia’s page on the legality of incest, in case anyone is unsure of what the legal status of this practice is, either globally or in any given country.
