I know it’s WAR talking (and therefore not making much sense anyway), but still, how in the actual hell does (re)introducing transgenders into the military in any way means they’ll be the US’s “secret weapon” against China?

Not so long ago, Britain's Ministry of Defence lifted any & all restrictions to LGBT people joining Her Majesty's Armed Forces, so we're not scared. Neither is the new Commander-in-Chief of the US Army, Navy, Air Force & Marines.

Don't they usually picture transwomen as hulking gorillas in wigs and transmen as... well... basically already "mannish" women when they acknowledge their existence at all? Or are the boogeymen in our bathrooms not the dire physical threat the other side of your face makes them out to be?

More trained killer is a bad thing now? That's all this means more people who want to join the armed forces and can pass the training can join.
