As opposed to believing that a universe that is 99.999999999999% uninhabitable for humans was created just for humans.

You can't make a straw man out of sand, OP.

But you can make Glass out of the same: to make Lenses in Telescopes that can see infinitely further than the arsehole that your BuyBull represents.

And as the Hubble Telescope can see even more...!

It makes so much more sense to take a universe of exactly the same complexity and plop an incoherent bloodthirsty Sky Daddy atop it, who ignores misery and disaster but obsesses over who has sex with whom.

It’s spelt “atheism”, not “athiesm”. Failure from the start.

Complexity can result from a surprisingly simple set of initial rules, as seen in cellular automata such as Conway’s Game of Life.

As for the size, we know pretty well how our universe got so large.

Randomness and chance do not mean “no rules at all”, which is the implication I always get when fundies use these words to attack naturalism.

Finally, I hope you are not an Abrahamic theist who places much importance on Scripture, because I am certain of one thing: This universe, grand and wild and whimsical, cannot possibly be the creation of the petty authoritarian egomanical super-brute obsessed with one single nation of one single species on one single planet that is Jahweh.

I’m not sure if I’m more annoyed by this #pratt or by the fact that they misspelled “atheism” but got everything else right.

Besides the fact that Atheists claim no such thing, the existence of god and the origin of the universe are two separate questions that they are conflating together.

To be fair, not understanding anything is kind of a requirement to be quoted here.

Your God will have to prove himself - because not many people get to see a Burning Bush. In the meantime, I have more faith in my simian hands and thumbs.

IDiots need to stop making these arguments. Yes, it’s amusing, but stunting our ability to function as a society when one-half denies rudimentary scientific realities.
