Following the destruction of the German Democratic Republic by NATO, there has been a resurgence of Nazism in Greater Germany. A two-state solution remains the only option to keep the world peaceful and safe from German aggression. We must support the GDR’s right to exist.

"Following the destruction of the German Democratic Republic by NATO"
By NATO? Pretty sure once the Wall fell, Germany was going to reunite with or without NATO's input. I recall France going snakeshit at the time, because every time Germany gets their act together, they beat up France. Despite France INSISTING that NATO not allow the countries to unite, there was no real way to stop it. If the choice was 'stay NATO and Separate, or Join and get kicked out of NATO,' they'd have staged their own Brexit.
I really, really doubt they're going to put up with anyone trying to put them apart, again. And without a new WALL to prevent travel and associating, that' wouldn't stop the Alt Right groups anyway.
A bit of background: Ali Abunimah is a Palestinian-American who is a long-time Palestinian activist. He promotes a one-state solution (according to him, it would be a democratic state for both Palestinians and Jews), and is quite radically anti-Zionist. Among other things, he’s gone so far as to compare Israel and Zionism to Nazi Germany.
It took me some attempts to parse what he’s trying to say here. It seems to me that the GDR here might be supposed to be a stand-in for Palestine, while Nazism would be Zionism, and Greater Germany the joint territory of Israel and Palestine (West Bank + Gaza). But it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.
On the other hand, he might just be talking about the GDR, Nazism and NATO non-metaphorically. In which case he has a pretty hare-brained idea.
Or he might be getting at both at the same time.
Frankly, I have no idea. *shrug*
The East Germans went more or less (ignoring the Weimarer Republik which was hardly a model democracy) from the Kaiser to Hitler to Communism. They never learned what freedom and pluralism are. While West Germany faced up to and dealt with its Nazi past, the DDR ignored everything that didn’t fit into their ideological worldview and pretended it didn’t exist. It never confronted its own Nazi past and hence never solved it. So when the hated Communists lost power, many East Germans just picked mentally up where they had left off in 1945, regarding the Communists’ damnation of the Nazis as part of the Communists’ big lie about everything. The stupid over there is very strong.
First, the GDR didn’t need the NATO to be destroyed, it did a good job by itself.
And second, as wrote @checkmate , Neo-NAzism in East Germany is more an indictment of how the “Anti-Fascist culture” failed than anything.
Yeah. That was tried before: certainly after WWII.
Now: can you figure out why Angela Merkel has been Chancellor of that united Germany for so long since that 'two state solution' failed...?!
Democracy is the solution to the Nazi problem.
Confused?
