Nah, IQ isn’t some objective measure of intelligence, and even if it were, doesn’t justify mass disenfranchisement.

I agree that limiting voting rights based on IQ measurements aren’t particularly justified, as tempting as it may sound. But it’s still a LOT more justified than limiting them based upon skin color or beliefs or sexuality…

No more gerrymandering. I am all for it. Problem is, Republicans only seem to object to gerrymandering when it is done to them. See Texas and California. Who gerrymandered first?
Now, Dems are not exempt from this fault either, but not in the same proportions.

Why not, European countries do that. Thing is, European countries also provide it automatically, free of charge, and put voting days on off days (Sunday, typically), because voting should not come to the detriment of one’s livelihood.

Speaking as a former election worker, the idea that non-citizens vote in American elections is a fantasy.

Making the ability to vote citizen/American only will hurt you…

What the Democrats need to do in response is say “This is a great idea, lets get everyone voting who can” and then make sure EVERY SINGLE voter is in possession of the ID they need to vote, and knows exactly what to do.

Financial aid, public information, the lot. Everything they need to shut Trump down for good. They can raise enough funds to do that. AOC and Bernie would be great at raising publicity.

A few Republicans might even help them.

Of course in Republican minds nowadays its’ increasingly obvious what they mean by “non-citizens” is just outright “non-straight, non-white people, men or women, are allowed to vote and we don’t want that…” *sigh* what a way for a originally liberal party to turn into eh? though the same can be said of the originally conservative party becoming the current day largely liberal/left-leaning party.
