That was my first thought, and that combines the paternalism of “you are just like all women even if you feel otherwise” and the idea that having children is fundamentally heterosexual. I mean, even if there were no alternatives, you can still have casual unprotected sex with men and then go back to women (or even do so while married to or dating a woman, if both are okay with that).

It’s of note that no one ever says that bi/gay men will eventually desire to settle down with a woman to have kids. It’s a rooted in “women don’t really want sex, they want babies” which is dumb and wrong.

Being on the other corner of the square, what offends me personally is the idea that it is only women who “feel their biological hour ticking”, when I very much do so myself (exacerbated by my only brother’s death).
