Literally the only reason why Netflix is considering casting Aslan as a woman in their planned Narnia adaptation (and blatantly sticking the middle finger to an explicitly christian piece of media in the process) is because CS Lewis is no longer here to sue their asses off.

I am so tired of non-christians appropriating my religion for their dumbass woke ideas. The people who do stuff like this are such a load of disrespectful hypocrites it’s insane. This story was never theirs to modify this fashion and to take an explicitly christian piece of media and twist it to suit their narrative is downright insulting.

I am not here for the analog for my Lord and Savior being played by Meryl Streep when it’s supposed to directly represent Jesus. Could def see her as a perfect white witch, however.

Anyway Salvation is about a select group of superheroes where being given powers means believing in and outright following Jesus/God is an undeniable requirement. And if you don’t follow God and respect him/his laws, you don’t get superpowers.
