In a recent villain themed issue of DC comics a Penguin story written by Danny DeVito (Yes Danny DeVito) had the answer to the pandemic. In that story Penguin and Catwoman steal all the Covid Vaccines in the world, which governments have been stockpiling and force everyone to be vaccinated, saving the world.
A disease that spread & infected not only the universe but dimensions in all the uncountable eons: right back to a decillion years ago infected Earth, to the extent that it took over 60% of the planet. Fortunately there was a force which battled against such, ultimately vaccinating all of Reality by putting that vile filth out of our misery. Before then, a Trial of Maligog, then ritual Trial by Combat in Immora, ending with a bladed verdict (& summary execution of sentence) of Guilty at Ingmore Sanctum. The ultimate tyranny against human rights made to more than pay.

While the above is just a couple of DLCs to a game by id Software, you've already lost against something infinitely more powerful than that which exterminated what was revealed to actually be God. That created by the business in Texas recently bought by the megabusiness that is Microsoft.

Every time anyone tells you to do something, you scream and cry about how unfair everything is and how mean we are to you. You know what’s actually unfair? People dying because you can’t be bothered to follow the rules.
Also, notice how they use citizen to describe themselves, but they don’t use that to describe their political opponents.
Yes, I hope there are trials. Trials for Trump, DeSantis, Noëm and all the others who looked the other way, lied about the virus and vaccines, and were able to skate by on their privileges while (so far) about 800K of their fellow citizens were allowed to die. Meanwhile, those GOP politicians and their donor class who know but don’t care about the fact that money is replaceable while lives aren’t. Why, because they see the Americans who do the labor that keeps our country moving as little more than replacible cogs.
