I’m more curious to see how humanity as a whole will react and change to the revelation alone. I mean, I know there will be people all across the spectrum showing any and all reactions possible, but what would be the majority, I wonder? And how many fanatics would try to attack the aliens for daring to exist outside of their doctrines?
And which governments would get the honor of meeting the alien representatives? Initially, I would have thought the USA, but said nation is in no way stable and united enough right now(*). China and Russia, well, you’d understand why that would be off the table. Honestly, I’m thinking more of France or the UK at this point. Idk…
And should it all go peacefully, how would the integration of alien knowledge and technology happen? How quickly would we be able to intermingle? How long will it take for our culture to adapt, and how will it adapt?
So many questions…
And that’s all assuming we’ll contact something benevolent like the UFP or the Citadel Council. Who knows what’ll happen should we encounter the likes of the Galactic Empire or the Covenant instead!
(*)Though I should be happy it’s not the Orange Clown’s USA anymore. He might’ve insulted the delegates, or attacked them, or even tried to grab them by their equivalent of a p***y…
