This is just kinda mostly the old fundie argument I’ve seen a million times: the old “anyone who doesn’t think the same things I do doesn’t believe in absolute truth, blah blah blah, etc.” I’ve always found that kinda funny when Christians use that against atheists, because as I’ve said before, I used to be all into Ayn Rand (who of course was DEFINITELY an atheist, to say the least), and basically what her whole philosophy came from was that, that there IS “absolute truth.” A=A, as she put it. (taken from Aristotle, I believe) I dunno, maybe it’s a case of the “horseshoe theory” in effect there, since there’s been a lot of Christian conservatives who take inspiration from her stuff.

Why do I have a sneaking suspicion that she wouldn’t be saying that if Weingarten happened to be a heterosexual woman who just didn’t happen to have any children? Also, how is she “really not a teach” (typo in the article? lol)? It says right here in the Wikipedia article about her, she was a high school teacher from 1991 to 1997, teaching classes that included Law, Ethical Issues in Medicine, AP Political Science, and US History and Government. So yeah, I have no idea what Greene is trying to get at with that one.

I do find him complaining about the marijuana dispensaries in Michigan totally amusing, for reasons not really related to what he’s saying, lol. I’m from Michigan myself, currently living on the outskirts of a relatively small town…who, when recreational use was made legal in MI, decided to not allow dispensaries within their city limits, but the township to the south was OK with it. So, of course, when those places finally started opening, you can probably guess where some of them popped up at. Just about as close to the city limits as they could possibly be!

I have talked about this before here a little bit at least, I consider myself a male feminist, yet I play “adult games” with male protagonists that are probably much “worse” than those in any of the games he was talking about. It’s almost like I realize they’re supposed to be FANTASY and not something to consider as a role model!
