Atheism is about god. Cosmology is about how the universe works and came to be. You don’t have to be an atheist to accept the science for the cosmos and the big bang AND all the various laws concerning the way matter and energy interact. It’s not ‘the result of random chance.’
Like, if i flip a coin, the results are not totally random. It can land heads, or tails, or on the edge, or in another dimension. The odds are that it’ll be heads or tails. Because while there is some element of random chance involved, that’s not the ONLY force.
