Each guidance system is about a million dollars.

If the speed of light changes, we miss. There’s just no way around this.

I am sure if there was ANY sign that the speed of light was changing, the effort to put the old guidance systems back in the fleet would be impressive and outrageous. Otherwise, we’d just have thermonuclear weapons that we couldn’t accurately aim… And everyone with a physics lab would know it.

One of the ‘What If…?’ comics headlines was ‘what if Beast continued to (I can’t remember if it was ‘evolve’ or ‘mutate’, but either way)?’
Individuals do not evolve, nor do they mutate. This, alone, moves the entire concept of the Mutants of Marvel completely out of any connection to reality and firmly into fiction.
