Diabetes is poorly understood by many, including my past self and many people who have it (apparently). If you're type 2, your pancreas still produces insulin and is capable of lowering your blood sugar. The more damage you do to your pancreas, often but not exclusively from poor diet and exercise, the less insulin is produced, until eventually you become an IDDM or insulin dependent diabetic.
No matter what kind of diabetes you have (type 1, 1.5, 2, gestational, etc), please learn how to manage your condition. Hypo/hyperglycemia are life threatening conditions. No currently known supplement performs the function of insulin in the body.
