You know it just occurred to me that this notion that women only get into heaven through men Hyles is pushing is a deeply blasphemous word substitution of Christianity’s line that you only get into heaven through accepting Jesus and the seed that blossomed into Diddler J Stewart’s need to equate himself with Jesus (quite directly in this context) and supplant the role he’s supposedly attributing to God.

The concept that no matter what you do you’re screwed unless you kneel to an immortal, hypocritical egomaniac is already odious but this here is the building blocks that put into the heads of entirely mortal hypocritical egomaniacs that they deserve to be the object of others worship even if they have to stomp someone else’s head into the ground to make it so.

Yeah I get that sense too. They probably did end up with someone who hid behind a misapplied label and took every excuse to put themselves ahead. But it does seem as though like had attracted like and they took looking out for number one to heart and adopted a “use or be used” mantra.

As for what you said about people basically considering autism interchangeable with psychopathy it makes it difficult and unimaginably frustrating to try and reason with them. First if you express any kind of mild irritation let alone actual anger regardless of how direct and repugnant the insults get they take that as their views being demonstrated as true. Or conversely if you try to keep as neutral a tone as possible they act like you’re an emotionless freak that’s broken in the head and can’t understand love or affection for that reason and thus anything you have to say is moot and any attempt to engage with others an act. But then if you actually make any kind of headway in convincing people they will just turn on a dime and accuse you of trying to manipulate them to your own ends and of course seize upon the idea that you’re only pretending to be clueless or slow to grasp some social issues if you can understand others. And by that I mean so much as realizing that somebody is saying hello to you. Switching from treating you like they think it’s a coincidence the noise coming out of your mouth sounds like words to accusing you of being a master of social intrigues.

It’s positively maddening.

Edit: Or one of the more mystifying examples is how people react if I don’t immediately laugh at a joke, particularly ones centered around misfortune or that come at other people’s expense. Not laughing at someone else’s pain makes me a sociopath? Or just not finding a joke particularly funny? And some of those people get downright hostile. From my point of view they look like the crazy ones, desperate for validation and willing to hurt you if you don’t give it to them. Sharp 180 from when I was a kid and kept getting chewed out for laughter being disruptive and inappropriate.

Speaking as someone with Asperger's Syndrome who also suffers from depression and paranoid episodes - which are all separate issues I should add, and the latter stem from neglect and abuse from people that thought I should be managed rather than treated like a person - and as a result grew up in social isolation and is critical of his own ability to relate to others I call utter bullshit on all of that.

This isn’t what to expect from a relationship, this is a step by step justification for turning a relationship toxic and becoming an abuser of the mindset that they have every right to speak for others and to take away their autonomy because in their minds “they wouldn’t understand what’s best for them anyways” and to view them not as someone you care about but a burden to borne grudgingly.

You’re creating a framework where emotional distance and any offense taken is immediately perceived as a mental defect and not the direct result of being stressed, disrespected, outright insulted, having one’s trust betrayed, or as a symptom of any legitimate grievance or miscommunication to be worked through as partners as will happen in any relationship. Does that concept escape you for “normal” relationships as well? Or do you have a list of excuses for why one party should just shut up and know their place on that front, too?

Yeah this makes no fucking sense. So women are supposed to complete men and basically do all the work of addressing their flaws thus if men fall short of God’s high bar that’s the woman’s fault… but women are forbidden to teach, reprimand, or command men in any way as men still have the first, last, and only word that matters up to the point where if he chooses to take an axe to his family they’re supposed to just kneel down and apologize until their last breaths. And if a woman dares to tell her husband he’s flawed in any way - such as being completely evil - she supposedly deserves this. But she can’t leave him, can’t refuse him, can’t disobey him if he tells her to do evil things, and ultimately it’s not her actions that determine if she gets to heaven but his and she’s inherently worthless and hellbound without a man.

And if you don’t like that go commit suicide. A mortal sin that automatically condemns you to Hell according to Christianity. And of course telling people to kill themselves is somehow not evil, either.

Why not instead have pride in one’s own accomplishments?

No kidding. It’s perfectly fine to see an example you wish to follow but your pride comes from your own conviction in following it, not the example itself. It merely resonates with you. If you’re defining yourself entirely by an external example and it overshadows you own thoughts and values you’re not being your own person. How can you say you’re proud of yourself when you dedicate your life to being someone else?

… Or at least that’s how I see things. I’m not content to live as somebody else’s clay. My experiences shape me, not someone else’s expectations.

But then again these people have little to be individually proud of. They identify with a mass to convince themselves they are nothing less than the sum total of a group’s achievements and take great pains to avoid comparing themselves within that group but still need to feel that they are better than someone else by default.

Funny trying to brag about women’s rights in the West when even now efforts to curb those rights and downplay just how incredibly hard-won they were are ongoing. An effort that is particularly pronounced among those who happen to share your views on race. And like Yutolia pointed out you just can’t help but attempt to phrase that in a way where you’re quite obviously waiting to be thanked for what you consider an “unearned privilege” granted allegedly out of benevolent kindness you still expect to use as leverage to obligate deference from women.

It’s almost as ludicrous as trying to shut down civil rights issues by bringing up that the rights being violated were “given” to the group protesting those violations with much the same condescending attitude and declaring they are less rights than a privilege to be revoked at will.

The question is how to make people proud of their White heritage.

Here’s a few ideas:

1) Stop trying to sanitize history, it cheats us of a sense of growth and reality and really does not inspire any sense of trust in our integrity.

2) Stop trying to homogenize “white” culture so there’s nothing distinctive to identify with other than a vague sense of ownership over the world and everything good that ever happened, historical accuracy be damned. (See above.)

3) Stop being so ludicrously, aggressively, embarrassingly narcissistic that any time a societal issue that does not exclusively concern the white majority or even if a single nonwhite individual earns some acclaim that causes them to enter the public consciousness that you are compelled to mindlessly attack any mention of them and either try to twist everything into a negative, an achievement on your back that you insist people should be praising what you perceive as the “white” collective identity for instead, or demand everyone simply stop paying any attention and issue punishment for them distracting you from your perpetual self-worship like a bratty child making the rest of us look collectively like supremely hypocritical assholes without any actual principles or at best people that willingly tolerate supremely hypocritical assholes and pay lip service to principles because it is convenient with no real intention on ever acting on principle if it requires stepping momentarily out of our comfort. And in the case of ignoring societal issues out of petty, pathetic spite ensuring that the issue festers until it boils over into a much bigger problem that affects everyone. You are willing to put the forward progress of society as a whole on hold because it would incidentally benefit those you want to forget are also your countrymen and have invested in society’s growth and success as much as you claim of your nebulous “ancestors.”

4) Better yet: Just stop. We’ll be playing karmic catch-up forever as long as you’re trying to drag us in the opposite direction.

And this is ignoring the ongoing problem of holding people to two different standards at all times. I.E. a white man who has a job is earning his wage while anyone else is stealing it and that job, and what are considered inalienable rights for a white man are undeserved privileges that can be suspended at will for everyone else who must constantly every second of their lives prove that they deserve them by impossible standards that will never be acknowledged even if met. The simple contrast between the denial that any white person or authority, even the descendants of slave owners or those responsible for atrocities in the colonial era, bear any responsibility to make amends for the sins of the past while also holding an entire demographic accountable not just for an individual’s personal crimes but the concept of crime itself for which every individual must personally make restitution and be held under eternal suspicion. If you have to so blatantly rig society to favour you and constantly reinforce your sense of worth while denying anyone else the same accusing it of being an attack on you then pride is kind of impossible underneath the constant crushing fear of your own irrelevance such practices would suggest. An inability to live up to one’s own hype is nothing to be proud of, and if you have to resort to any of the above: Revising history, shouting down anything that isn’t pure propaganda to prop you up, appealing to bullshit narratives and double standards, etc. then that’s absolutely where you should start feeling ashamed. It holds us back.

Actually one little white girl DID supposedly have some unidentified passerby threaten to call the cops on her lemonade stand for not having a business license. FOX was on it like a bad rash, conveniently forgetting that a precedent had been set with this happening to a number of black children beforehand. Fan commentary was also about what you’d expect.

I’ve been subjected to the alt-right’s train of thought so much I’m actually entertaining the idea that the girl and her father made the story up just take attention off the other kids, changing the narrative and downplaying the race aspect. Civil liberties in the US have been meaning less and less for 20 years now with the vague excuse of “maybe the people we’re denying them to might be dangerous in some way and besides freedom isn’t free” and have to live life under the microscope until the day they die only for that to not exonerate them at all. Muslims, then immigrants, then people who can’t rightly be called immigrants but aren’t white, the LGBT community but the religious institutions that were denying them their rights turned it around and made it about themselves, African Americans only really had rights on paper rather than in practice since before any of this shit started but rapidly changing the topic on that and downplaying every grievance as a mild irritation blown out of proportion or an unwarranted sense of entitlement is a comfortable routine by now.

But then when there is an actual, immediate, irrefutable, mortal danger to the entire community that doesn’t have a face you can pick out of a crowd and shake your fist at suddenly the price of safety involving personal restrictions that amount to “Beware: minefield ahead, keep out” and “Protective equipment required beyond this point” is far too steep to bear paying because it pushes back your hair appointments and anyone asking you to pay that price for your own personal safety and the safety of everyone around you should commit seppuku for the sheer insult of it.

The COVID-19 response has been as close to the opposite of a “leftist” strategy as is can possibly be. It’s been encouraging a bidding war where the prices of goods needed for survival are deliberately driven up to the point where Mitch McConnell has outright told states to declare bankruptcy instead of “whining” to the fed rather than distributing stockpiled supplies intelligently and directly compelling production at controlled costs in safely provided conditions, telling the states to fuck off and figure it out for themselves while demanding they thank Trump profusely for all of his NOTHING and defaming or even penalizing them for refusing to do so but also pressuring them to open up for business and threatening to overrule whatever they try to implement then having the balls to claim Trump advised them otherwise when those who follow his demands experience a surge in deaths.

Comments from the White House and Republicans have made it clear their efforts are EXPLICITLY focused on the economy over the toll on human lives. But when you consider that they’re basically intentionally bankrupting states so that they collapse even their commitment to financial survival is a bit suspect.

And of course Trump is predictably taking the excuse to be even more insanely hostile to everybody that isn’t white than he already was derailing talks with doctors to fish for excuses to ban people from specific countries (Brazil, for example) despite the fact that every way you slice it the justifications run contrary to White House messaging about the virus and gathering people in detention centers risks spreading it before packing them off to another country intentionally introducing individuals they claim are a health risk which is exactly what Trump is accusing them of and attacking China for. Wasting PPE on ICE raids when doctors are dying in droves for want of basic gear is maddening. And quite frankly since the US has the highest rate of infection and death in the world by a staggering margin and is clearly not on the ball the rest of us would be damned well justified telling Americans to keep their diseased asses the fuck out of our respective countries until we’re satisfied they’ve finally figured out how germs work or at least proper hygiene and this has blown over.

And leading up to the pandemic? Leading up to the pandemic was cuts to the budgets of healthcare, vaccine research which Trump has fanned the flames of conspiracy undermining, disaster response as anything but the Presidential slush fund it’s been since I think maybe the Clinton era which has prompted its own conspiracy theories about FEMA which is currently being used to bid against states for materials from the federal stockpile that it should be drawing from but have been distributed to private sellers to be auctioned off to the highest bidders… literally everything that could possibly have helped all while scoffing at repeated warnings from multiple sources that SHIT WAS ABOUT TO GET FUCKED.

Trump has EMPTIED the White House of anyone that tells him to do so much as think about what he’s saying before doing it even if their intention is to let him save face. When they let him have his way and it blows up in his face he axes someone anyway and tries to make the shit that pours out of his mouth someone else’s fault or just calls everyone idiots and implies himself that nobody should believe anything coming out of his lie-hole. While of course insisting that he’s the only truthful one. People are afraid to say shit in earshot of him. He makes a point of destroying everyone else’s legacy and flagrantly insulting EVERYONE even the people that bow and scrape and slather his balls with their praise and saliva. Addressing one’s libido is part of sound psychological health but there’s two things to keep in mind:

First - The physical act of sex is not actually required for one’s health and to demand that another submit to the act just for a fleeting boost to your ego with no regard for or outright contempt of the other party’s thoughts and emotions seeing them only as an unintelligent tool for your personal use is psychologically damaging to them and abhorrent.

Second - You have many, many, MANY, other psychological issues precluding any sexual activity on your part ever being healthy that would have to be addressed first because even if you find ways to sidestep the issues that make you so utterly repellent to other human beings sex in your state of mind would only worsen your delusional take on humanity and the lack of fulfillment from the act would surely accelerate your descent into madness. Incels typically reject the very concept of psychology despite invoking it when they think it might get them a benefit or can be used to browbeat others into catering to their preferences.

That does not match my experiences grocery shopping with women at all. Granted, I’m usually shopping with a control freak and there’s lengthy pre-shopping planning: organizing grocery lists, consolidating coupons, double checking sales, planning routes not just to the store to avoid traffic and optimize any side trips planned for the day but even a methodical path through the aisles to minimize time in the store. The actual shopping is over and done with as soon as possible, which makes sense because it’s just one of the many things that needs doing any given day and there’s always a dozen things that need doing after.

Now it might be different in rural areas where there’s really nothing else to do but while away the day but for working women - of which the majority of women I know have been - one more drawn out chore is not a leisure activity.

Clothing on the other hand is a different story. For a lot of the women I know that has actually counted as a leisure activity for them and the closest I’ve seen to the bahaviour described here though again speaking from my experience doing the shopping with a control freak there’s a good deal of pre-planning to that as well. I can’t say for certain but I suspect that some of the enjoyment when picking out something to wear comes from an element of anticipation: it’s a step towards future social interactions and leisure activities.

Alternatively the time taken might be less from enjoyment and more a combination of sharp awareness that a great deal is read into what women wear (whether it’s desired or not) necessitating a veritable war game session in preparation for assumed statements being made through clothing, predicting reactions to some outfits, how to respond, how to respond TO responses, anticipating the perception of social challenges and threats, how the various potential interpretations of multiple individuals can change an entire social dynamic and present future issues to manage, and just what kind of irrational idiot ideas other people might get in their heads, or how to deal with people simply assuming this is all being planned for when the only thing you were thinking is that you liked how it looked when you tried it on.

One can commend the implementation of social distancing in China which I imagine you take as “defending” the Chinese while condemning the excuse being taken to single out minority populations or the heavy-handedness of the most extreme quarantine actions because those are two different things. Again, judging an action on it’s individual merits rather than trying to create a collective group identity to simply declare good or evil. Do you want people to stop mentioning the positive progress and imitable actions used to stop the spread of COVID-19 and purely hate on China with the excuse that for whatever effective actions they are taking or whatever they pointedly are not responsible for (such as a virus existing) they also did something that supposedly offends your sensibilities and all fact-checking must stop if it paints them in a positive light? That’s an argument that backfires the minute you demand criticism of the US ends because you think you can see a positive in the current shitstorm that you insist trumps the negatives. You also lose a practical evaluation of how effective those measures are if you refuse to observe them objectively because anything “defending” the Chinese is deemed unacceptable.

Shaming China for being slow on the draw to admit there was a problem let alone contain it and trying to downplay the virus before it escaped their borders can be valid but considering the current situation in the US and their slow response despite advance warning the Chinese never had and ongoing self-sabotage of containment efforts with a clear prioritization of punishing unflattering portrayals of the response over actually solving the issues that get brought up means you’re firing off mortars in a glass house. Best leave that last criticism to people with a leg to stand on, because even if China was slow to act they’re acting now and that’s something the Trump administration can only say if they’re lying. And they are. And they can’t go five minutes without alternating between telling the states it’s every man for himself and demanding unconditional praise for bold leadership despite aforementioned refusal to take the lead. (Just horrifically abuse powers in ways they were never meant to be used to seize goods and provoke bidding wars for crucial goods bankrupting the states buying back medical and protective equipment benefiting only private sellers while preventing that gear from actually being used.)

There is also the fundamental and very relevant distinction between criticism of a foreign power and criticism of the government that is ostensibly in your service and that your voice is meant to affect through your votes and elected representatives. Basically it’s the difference between complaining about a problem directly impacting you with the potential of those complaints to contribute to constructive solutions or pressure to act and just bitching pointlessly at people you already don’t like.
