DIAF! autism is not a fate worse than death/cancer you narcissistic swine!.
I've noticed that the whole "autism is worse than death thing" isn't even about the alleged suffering of the child but rather the parent's.
I've seen countless "autism parents" whine Six ways to Sunday about how having an austisic child is sooo hard and how autism is worse than death but they never mention(or even care) how the autistic child may feel.
Think about it. If their child has autism they have to deal with the "inconvience" of an autistic child for a lifetime(meltdowns, sensory issues, behavioral problems, etc especially if the child is lower functioning). Not to mention they may think that people look down on them for having such a child(what would the neighbors think?)
Whereas if their child gets cancer or another terminal illness , they would only get to deal with an "inconvience" for a short time, plus they get showered with sympathy and maybe even get a tidy sum in insurance money.
In other words a dead child is far less "work" to them than an autistic one.
