Last year I went to the funeral of a 16 year old neighbor girl who committed suicide and whose family were unbelievers. The funeral included an announcement that a particular distant star had been officially named in the girl's honor. There was no mention of God. It was so depressing. I bawled through the entire service.

They sell the view of their bodies' for love and closeness.

I wish I had some advice for you. I'm not in the exact situation, but even though my husband is a believer and we used to be on the same page, he gets annoyed with the extent of my faith I think. It's hard to feel like you are facing persecution for following Christ from the one person you are supposed to be closest to. Just stand strong, and continue doing the things to grow in your faith. It's the only way you are going to be able to be a witness to him. If you stop going to bible study and being a part of the body of Christ, how will you be able to win him over?

I'm to that point, too - screaming it from the roof-tops - "JESUS IS THE WAY AND YOU BETTER GET ON BOARD SOON!" Maybe the problem your having is that you're trying to fit God into what you know about "science". Maybe that's the wrong way. Maybe instead you should try to fit science into what you know about God.
Don't start from the proposition that everything you learned in science class was correct, and then try to make God fit into that picture. Instead, start from the position that everything in the bible is true, and then try to see how science fits in with that. If it doesn't fit, it's the current world's view that's wrong, not the bible.

The music these kids listen to is absolutely satanic with its message of hate and violence towards others, especially towards those in authority ie law enforcement. Take_me_away!: I have just gotten the official email that the flu shot will be mandated for ALL healthcare workers in NYS. Worse yet, we have now found that 3 out of the 4 major hospitals in my area are MANDATING the SWINE FLU shot as well (for all healthcare workers). My husband and I have come to a decision that I will not be getting the swine flu shot, and we are preparing for the worst, financially. I'm a nurse, so there are no jobs out there for me in the state that won't require me to get this shot. Prayers for all of us, folks. The persecution has begun

take_me_away!: I know.... I actually feel at peace about it. My husband and I have already had discussions about this over the past months, as we knew this was coming. We most likely will lose the house, as there is no way I can get a job that will make as much money. My son will have to be pulled from daycare if they require kids to get it - there's no way he's getting that vaccine, either. So...... I think I saw some vampires at a Old Navy the other day shopping. It was a couple with a baby. During my study, I was curious as to what science says is the origin of our standard '7 day week'? So I did a Google search and there is no valid explanation outside of the 7 days of creation. God instituted the 7 day week.
Mankind can explain the 24 hr. day - the rotation of the earth
Mankind can explain the year - the earth's orbit aroung the sun
Mankind can explain the seasons - the tilt of the earths axis
but there are no systems, rotation, orbits, cycles that can explain the 7 day week measure of time. It is solely God based & established
