Also note that in some of the epistles, there are aspects that are more to do with the culture of the day than to do with Christianity, as they were letters to people back then.

For example, In 1 Corinthians, Paul writes about women wearing Head Garments as a sign of subjection to men, but in modern culture, a wedding ring is a sign of this.

Another thing that bothers me about abortion is most of the time (actually, all of the time) it is done for selfish reasons. For instance...


"Oh, I can't have this baby, even though we had sex and it's really our fault there's a baby there in the first place. Maybe I should just go get an abortion because it will screw up my life. What about my career?"


"Yeah I don't want this baby because pregnancy is uncomfortable."

"I don't want to keep my baby because I don't have the money to take care of another child."

These are all selfish reasons. Even the third one, because there is nothing wrong with adoption. In all of the above cases, they aren't doing what's best for someone else, they think that they are doing what is best for themselves. And the Bible clearly says that is wrong.

There is a huge difference between an uncontrollable and inevitable death of some embryos in order to create a baby that the parents want, and aborting an "embryo" (fetus, baby, etc) just because the parents don't feel like taking care of him/her. The first is done out of the parents' love and need for a child, the second out of selfishness and self-centeredness because Heaven forbid that child interfere with their lives! *sarcasm*

The Bible states that the earth will "wear out as a garment" would. And that the heavens (outer space) will fold up like a garment (collapse on itself) just like many astronomers say it will do after it expands to it's limit. How did they know that years ago? Breaking the law is never done with a "good reason." That's like saying that why else do murderers kill someone, if they don't have a good reason, would they put themselves at such risk for jailtime/capital punishment/etc.? If abortion were banned and made against the law, if the parents choose abortion, it was their CHOICE to break the law. Nobody's forcing them to break the law. There are many other options besides abortion.

You know in Genesis when God created the world, and after that He created Adam in His image. And God let Adam to rest for a while to make Eve with 1 of Adams ribs.

I am guessing that God allowed Adam to sleep for 8 hours and God probably used 2-4 hours to create Eve, probably another 2-4 hours for Adam to heal. And if there was time left probably God let Adam to rest just for the heck of it.

I believe that some people can't believe in God because they can't. This is part of my worldview that God created everything in what is called theistic evolution. IOTW's God created all of the animals, and in what we call animals are beings that look like us but don't have the necessary component of a soul. This theory of mine explains who Cain's wife is. In short, there are people ( who I wouldn't call human) that are just as smart as us, because they have to be. It's a survival instinct. They just can't believe in God, because a it doesn't occur to them to, like dogs or cats...

one nite i waz sitting on my bed starring into space, then i see a figure appear in front of me. It waz him standin before me. Weird thing is he looked exactly like me, except his eyes where pure black., It waz pretty freaky becuz he was outta my body talkin to me. listen- if this becomes a nationwide law, think of how many rapists will be deterred by thte thought that the women that they rape will HAVE to give birth, and the father can be easily identified by the babe's DNA??? this will prevent a lot of rapes. part of the reason why rapes r so common is the fact that abortions are legal, so nobody would know if they raped someone. now they dont have that option.
