[I know pretty much everyone and it is extremely sad to say I know not one true believer at school.]
This is why I have become a homeschooling mom. I used to worry about the socialization of my kids because I wanted them to be able to function in society. Now, I worry that the socialization of my kids could cause them great harm. As for me and my family, we will serve the LORD.

Some people still wonder this question about him but if you have to question it there has to be something wrong. Don't believe it until he starts bearing some good fruit! I am particulary not liking his anger, fear enforcing and inpatient response to the delay in the "stimulus bill" (not to mention the stuff within the bill). All this stuff just is not good fruit. All that "do good" stuff which many Christian organizations feed upon are not what God has in mind when it is mentioned as "good works" in Scripture. Oh these are good humanitarian (read "fleshy") works ... but which are before God of course "dross".

IMHO the US became a lot bolder and less accountable when 7-11's opened back in the 1960's. We could shop or pump our own gas (for the first time) from 7:00 am until 11:00 pm. Even mainstream stores like Safeway had closing and opening times. Hmmmmm, let's see......that was about the time that youth began to rebel and disrespect the "old ways" of their parents.
More time to buy things to get in trouble (alcohol, etc.). Forty years later - what an enormous backlash on society.

Does God listen when catholics pray?
THe reason I ask this is that a co-worker's father has just recently been diagnosed with cancer (they are very catholic). The doctor's didn't know how bad it was until further testing could be done. Just today this co-worker said that the doctors say that the prognosis looks good. When she was telling us she said "thank you everyone for all of your prayers". She was telling this to me and two other girls. The two other girls are Catholic, I am the only saved Christian.
So I feel like the only prayer that counted was mine and that God doesn't even listen to their prayers. Could that be so or am I sounding a bit arrogant to even think that?

When all these so-called science types ask me about alien life, I slam my Bible down in front of them, and ask them to show me in the Word of God, where it mentions aliens. I usually get this shocked look, and they retreat back to their shells. Listen, if it's not in God's Word, it is not truth. I think if there were aliens, God would have taken the time to at least make a note of it! However, people are being conditioned to accept aliens as real. Why? I believe that Satan will use this deception to fool the world into believing that these aliens are responsible for our disappearance. Then, one of these so-called aliens will usher in the Anti-christ.

I've seen this commercial every now and then on National Geographic channel, that says birds evolved from dinosaurs and that whales were once land mammals. Yeah....for some crazy reason, one of the creatures, just out of the blue, decided to jump the water and magically turn its legs into fins. The rest saw this, thought it was way cool and jumped in too! Of course some didn't like it, but found that if they went back to land, their legs didn't come back so they were stuck with fins forever.

I agree 100%. My ex boyfriend was an atheist, and for 5 years I tried to witness to him. He said I either choose God or him? Not even a choice I had to struggle over.... He is a very highly intelligent person, but I view him as a fool because he has said in his heart, "there is no God".
And I really don't care if they are called atheist, non-believes, agnostics, whatever. If they have religion, rites or rituals....science or magic dust. If they do not believe in the one and only God, then I consider them Godless. If there is any movement at play it is the movement of Godless people believing and doing whatever they want.
It will be interesting to hear their arguments on judgment day....

Her grades are acceptable, but not reflective of her ability. Her organizational skills are poor, but none of these teachers will teach her HOW to organize. She has trouble focusing on school work when other students are out of control. She can NOT tune out other children. She does not tolerate fools well, and does not handle teasing well either.
I don't understand why her teachers are teaching what they teach, how they teach etc. She is furious that she has to learn about Ancient Greek gods/goddesses; she is outraged that they use words like 'supposed' and 'allegedly' when discussing Christ.
Finally, she began having visions this summer. She has heard other children's thoughts about their parents' fights. She can see demons. One of her teachers (English/Reading/Homeroom and Homebase) is fascinated by ghosts. She gave my daughter a ghost story, which Maura KNOWS are demons, and told her to read it for class. I wrote back that my daughter has a vivid imagination and that she's not allowed to read those books. Mo did NOT want to read that book. It reeked of evil, and I made her leave it in the car overnight. Well, lo and behold, MANY selections revolve around ghosts. Guess whose classroom has demons in it? Guess who doesn't like my daughter?

Hello, well I have known a lot of homosexuals that have told me, one in particular over the course of his life especially when he was a child that he was raped and molested by his uncles, and others in the family.
Many woman are also raped, molested and physically abused when they are a child then when they are adults they marry into a abusive marriage with a man who is the same as the male who abused them as a child, many of them divorce, then become lesbien because of the fear of abuse, there are 100's probably more of cases of this.
My poor friend as he told me his story, his boyfriend was so physically abusive, he always told me he never felt normal being gay, but it was all he knew in his life, I told him what happen to him was wrong, and no child should go thru their childhood with such abuse, then I asked why he he is alowing those abusers to win? He should take control back for his life and not allow those people to dictate his life! He said I never thought of it that way, through out the weeks I became his friend, he changed, he decided to leave his boyfriend, make a fresh start, find a job and heal, maybe marry and have a family, Jesus was starting, we had set up a time and place to meet to say goodbye, he was afraid his boyfriend would kill him and if I heard something it probably was true, a couple of days later, it happen just as he feared, he was beaten and brutally killed by his boyfriend, it was all over the news, I knew it was him, he told me a lot of stories that only insiders of the gay community would know about, and the male gay community is a little weirder and sicker then the lesbien community. But both is sad, these lost, hurting souls, desperately need Jesus to save them and to turn from the hurting and live, breath again!
Even with all that I know these people are humans but they need to be told the truth, and turn from there sin, asked God to Forgive them, change, repent and make a difference for God with there lives, and make a difference!Instead of being something their not and something they will never be.

Over the years I have been labeled a "firestarter", "difficult"...any other name that can apply to that - because I have asked for Biblical authority and Christian authenticity. Yes, I do fail - I fall short like anyone else. But when my husband saw this definition of "propecy" he saw in me someone who had no problem bringing the truth of Scripture to others, who willingly allowed God to work through her by way of Biblical truth, who had no outlandish prophecies but offered insight as to how current events were propelling the world towards the End Times and that changes needed to be made in people's lives because time was short, someone who was incisive, clear, particularly controversial (to those who didn't want to receive Biblical truth), who could see the need for unity within the Body of Christ when no one else wanted to or could and someone who never seems to lack the ability to tell it like it is. This is how my husband saw me and often times it blew him away.
To everyone else though...I was either responding because of my bipolar disorder or because I was a heretic, a false prophet. I didn't realize I was doing anything wrong by simply saying, "Hey - this definition of prophecy fits me."
Do I go around saying I am a prophet? No. Humility won't let me. But when the shoe fits, I wear it, just not as pubicly as I used to. The kids who are forced to spend 12 years with the same age group are the ones who are ISOLATED. They don't learn to communicate with other age groups therefore they don't have a taste of what 'real' life is like. Homeschooling is a wonderful blessing that I pray the Lord protects.

We are are doing an in depth study of the book of Genesis and we were talking about all the different dimensions. My SS teacher is science oriented, so I had to ask him to teach this in laymens terms. Anyway, it is possible that the Garden of Eden is in a dimension that we, in the third dimension, cannot see. In other words, the Garden is still where God originally put it, but we were cast out of the dimension that it occupies and that is why nobody has been able to find it and try to get back in. We can pass through it, but because we are in a different dimension we cannot feel it or see it.
I think the whole thing is really fascinating.

Also, from what I understand Archaeopteryx was a fake. (2) Birdlike eggs doesn't imply anything more than they were birdlike eggs (3) Says that male dinosaurs guarded eggs, yet they offer no evidence outside of an artists rendition. Even if it were the case, it makes a very weak argument for the link between birds. Male aligators protect nests within their territory, doesnt make them birds. (4) Tissue in a T-rex...instead of proving that they evolved into birds, this is clear proof that dinosaurs are not 68 million years old or older, but rather proves a recent flood. (5) Again, they suggest that it was a common feature, but give no evidence..because there is none. (6) The bigger question this raises would be, if they had air pockets in their bones, how did they not break under their weight? If it was found only in small bird sized reptiles it again shows nothing other than similar design. (7) At the risk of being redundant, only shows similar design not progressive evolution. (8) Will wait to see further evidence of this, but it only proves that some raptors had feathers at most. (9) And back to the possibly forged fossil archaeopteryx, which there are only a handfull of in the world...again, if dinosaurs did evlove into birds why arent there more transitional forms? And why do the scientists need to pick and choose traits from different dinosaurs? Shouldnt there be a clear progression? I am just so sickened.....by everything that has been happening in the world lately....globally, nationally and just individually. The world has gone completely mad. I just had another baby this month...and what is interesting to me is that had I known back in April what I know now with how the world is spiraling into chaos I would have never gotten pregnant....I wouldn't have wanted to bring another innocent child into this horrible world......I am so glad my baby is here....but I get so sad thinking how much worse this world is going to get as she grows. My children will not have the same innocent childhood I had growing up...it makes me angry as it didn't have to be like this!
I know there is a reason behind this and to trust God, but I do feel bitter toward those who make this world so sinful...not that I am free of sin...I know I should just pray for their souls, but currently I am just disgusted with what I am witnessing. Please pray that I can move forward and not be so depressed with what I see going on and that I can just continue to turn to the Lord when I witness all this depravity.

my son is in 10th grade here in central florida. He told me that they studied all religions fairly quickly, but when the teacher got to the islamic faith, he went over their doctrine line by line and even had the kids quote "there is no god but allah and muhammed is his messenger". He said that if he did not go line by line, he would not get an A. I asked, did you repeat the main statement (the above quote). He said no way!
My husband thought it wouldn't have been a big deal, but I was proud of him and told him so. I also shared with him that he stood his ground and God was pleased and the devil was disappointed!
We really have to prepare our children and teach them how easily the world can get us to cross that line......We must hold our ground!

There has got to be some liberal Obamabots out there that care enough for their children not to accidentally view pornography on a library computer! I can't believe that Ogden seriously advocates people being allowed to view porn at the library. Where is the outrage???
Just think of this for a moment. Suppose this becomes legal and people start viewing hardcore porn at the library. John Doe views hard porn on a PC at the library and here comes some kids walking along and stops and stares what he is viewing, or John Doe's history of sex sites are still on PC and a child or teen accesses them. Oh yeah and what about those sex pop-ups?
Surely there has to be some liberals out there that don't want their kids exposed to this. Will any speak out? I bet you anything that a heck of a lot more CONSERVATIVE parents will speak out than the deluded godless liberals.

*edit* as far as walking through walls, I believe the Lord Jesus's glorified body literally oscillates at a very high frequency. A rough comparison could be how visible light (in the electromagnetic spectrum) operates at a lower frequency than x-rays or gamma rays and cannot pass through a solid wall like the other 2 (although I realize radio does, faster doesnt necesarily facilitate this atribute, rather, a the "right" frequency to accomplish this. Its said though that love and happieness constitute higher vibrational states in us, not nearly what im talking about tho with Jesus) Could be wrong but the Lord certainly has made a reallly strange universe and frequency is one of the weirdest (and perhaps most prevalent, as I heard someone mention everything being product of a strings vibration, per se)
