...being a woman, i'm not personally bothered by the women's beach volleyball attire. but that's just because i'm a girl. just the same, i don't think it's right, either. if i had a brother, i would NOT have let him watch their games.

the thing i personally had a BIG problem with was the men's diving duos. now THAT i had a hard time with. we women don't typically have the visual problems like men do - i sure don't - and i'm not opposed to a guy with his shirt off or anything, but a speedo? why can't they wear the suits that the swimmers do? or at least streamlined swim shorts? for one, speedos show WAY too much skin. two, did anyone notice where every guy's hands flew once the camera showed them under the surface of the water? and it's not just under the water... they're CONSTANTLY checking to make sure the thing is in place. now THAT is hard for me to take.

oh, and while i'm at it... did anyone hear the brief interviews of the two american guys? how gay did THEY sound... SO. DARN. GROSS.

for me, michael phelps is INFINITELY more interesting to watch. he's classy, gracious, doesn't talk like a fruitcake, and if the whole thing comes down to attractiveness for nbc... if you ask me, as a woman, michael phelps is absolutely irresistible because he's kind and is properly covered.

I am sick and tired of everyone saying it's "okay to be gay." "Just be who you are." Homosexuality serves no biological purpose except to give the people participating in it pleasure. Greed, self-love, and all of the other bullshit is what has the world in the shape we are in today. It is a lot harder to resist temptation and desires, but you are a stronger person for it in the end. Instant gratification is not always the best route to take. I have a son, and a lot of people have asked me what I would do if he were gay. Well, I guess I will have to wait and see, but as of right now, I'd throw him out on his butt. If he wants to defy me and The Bible, he can do it on someone else's watch...

I was completely anti-teletubbies.... then one day my son saw it and fell in love with them. I didn't like it, but he wouldn't stop talking about them, so I figured "Why not? What harm could it possibly do"? Well he's been watching the show for about 2 weeks now. He is only 2 1/2, and his vocabulary is outstanding. Lately, I've noticed that he is starting to babble. For example, when he doesn't want to do something I tell him, he says something like "No ca cow"! (he used to just say no, don't like it) I always believed that the rumors that the teletubbies promoted homosexuality, and that was confirmed for me today. My son wanted to play teletubbies games on sprout.com, and I found one called "dirty knees"... the whole game was to clean the teletubbies dirty knees. As of today, I will no longer let my son watch this show, no matter how badly he cries. I really believe that it's affecting his vocabulary and I also believe it promotes and encourages homosexuality. What are your thoughts?

Unfortunately, with at least two states that have legalized homosexual marriages, other states are bound to follow. They won't want to seem unloving and prejudicial. I've been called prejudiced because of my stand against homosexuality. If I'm prejudiced then so is God, for He has said in His word that men with men and women with women is not natural. Rom. 1:27

Allowing these perverts to adopt children or even to keep their own is definitely child abuse. It confuses them and warps their innocent minds. They're rejected by peers who have a real mother and father, instead of two mothers or two fathers.

Marriage Is Already Open to Everyone.

In the first place, no law in any state in the United States now or ever has forbidden homosexuals to marry. The law has never asked that a man prove his heterosexuality in order to marry a woman, or a woman hers in order to marry a man.

Any homosexual man who can persuade a woman to take him as her husband can avail himself of all the rights of husbandhood under the law. And, in fact, many homosexual men have done precisely that, without any legal prejudice at all.

Ditto with lesbian women. Many have married men and borne children. And while a fair number of such marriages in recent years have ended in divorce, there are many that have not.

So it is a flat lie to say that homosexuals are deprived of any civil right pertaining to marriage. To get those civil rights, all homosexuals have to do is find someone of the opposite sex willing to join them in marriage.

In order to claim that they are deprived, you have to change the meaning of "marriage" to include a relationship that it has never included before this generation, anywhere on earth.

Just because homosexual partners wish to be called "married" and wish to force everyone else around them to regard them as "married," does not mean that their Humpty-Dumpty-ish wish should be granted at the expense of the common language, democratic process, and the facts of human social organization.

However emotionally bonded a pair of homosexual lovers may feel themselves to be, what they are doing is not marriage. Nor does society benefit in any way from treating it as if it were.

LOL!!! I didn't give my sentence any thought. Where in the bible was any woman forced to marry a man that raped her? If she was raped in the city, but no one heard her scream, then they where both stoned. If she was rape out in the country then only he was stoned.

And actually in most countries I have never known a woman to be forced to marry a rapist, but was instead killed, whether she screamed or not. Man is the one who changed God's laws and did what they wanted.

And to go as far out as the rest here. Then I guess we shouldn't be punishing child molesters either. I mean to go by everyone's arguement, he/she can't help it that they are attracted to children, is it right for God to punish him/her to a life of lonliness, condemnation, and after all they may have been born that way. I do think that homosexuals choose their orientation, but I think alot of it has to do with convincing from the devil. This is my opinion, but I think he starts with people as children and just attacks them and makes them feel that they are different somehow and with constant reinforcement...they are led into a homosexual lifestyle.

excuse me, but what is so hard to understand when the bible describes the act? man lying with man as he would a woman. homosexuality, just as it is with sex between heterosexuals before marriage, is a sin. Jesus even said that looking at someone with lust in your heart is the same as adultery. even if someone is a "closet" homosexual that has never acted on it, their thoughts of lust is the same thing. people want to hang on to their sin and never want to let it go. the point about GOd's love and the lenghts He went to to prove it, even the greatest sinner isn't too far for Him to redeem and make a new creature. He is the one who made you, knows everything about you, and still loves you. despite knowing our sins, that we'd reject Him, and that He had to die for His plan of remeption to be fulfilled, He still gave up His life and took our place on the cross. the main reason why people don't want to accept His forgiveness is because they would have to admit that they're a sinner in need of that redemption.

I'm with west on the fact that all mainstream religions wether right or wrong agree that homosexuality is wrong. I know that there are liberals in all of them that justify their deeds so they change the fundimentals of their beliefs to fit their lifestyles but still it is true that for the most part the mainstream religions condemn, homosexuality.

As for the Bible, of course you are going to condemn the Bible and attact its inerrancy. You have to, becuase there is know way you can believe the Bible and still live your lifestyle. I love the way Art has claimed his intellegence by exclaiming his vass knowlege of Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic. I am too a scholar of the original languages, and I find that the King James Bible is a very reliable and accurate translation in the English Language.

No, Homosexuality does not appear in the Bible in so many words, but the acts of Homosexuality does, and in those context God considers the acts as an Abominations.

You can go on and on about what you believe and don't believe, it won't change the truth, and that is that Every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. Its your eternity.

I never said God hated homosexuals. In fact, there is no such thing as homosexuals, just those who choose to commit homosexual or heterosexual acts. All are created to be heterosexuals, just that some choose to deviate from that for whatever reason. People are born awkward or nerds, not as "gays," and some mistake their differences as meaning they are supposed to commit this great evil. And other straight people accuse them falsely of being "gay" and say that because they like art, music, or are non-aggressive, that they must be sexual perverts who have unstoppable lust for members of the same sex. It is society who turns persons who were intented to be non-sexual into homosexuals. Orientation is not inborn nor are people to be considered a group or class. As long as you are choosing to commit homosexual acts, you are cutting yourself off from God. You can accept God's love at any time and show your gratitude for that by repenting.

As for the other poster, anyone who is caught in or admits to adultery, homosexuality, pedophilia, underage sex, or premarital sex deserves death. Yes, that would probably take out 60% of society, and the world would be much better for it. Of course, there would be no victims, since they know the risks of practicing any sex outside the bounds of a legal marriage between adult humans of the opposite sex. If you don't want to die, don't cheat. If you don't want to die, don't participate in oral or anal sex. If you don't want to die, don't mess with animals. If you don't want to die, don't eat like a friggin' hog. It is. This was God's wrath. There are no homosexuals nor gay supporters who are true Christians and worship the God of the Bible. Every gay "Christian" worships a man-made god which is nothing like the Bible. Sure, gay people can go to Heaven, but they must repent. That means ask Christ to come into one's heart, admit that homosexuality is immoral, perversion, selfish, wrong, a sin, etc., and to allow the Holy Spirit to come in and destroy this sin from their life and be turned into either a heterosexual or a person who never has sex.

If you truly love God, you will put God first and be willing to give up anything for God, suffer anything, and take whatever consequences. Of course gayness feels good. All sins do, and the feel good factor is a test to see if you love God more or love the sin more. Gluttony, murder, disrespecting one's parents, drunkeness, drug use all feel good as well.

This being said, a true-Christian will speak against homosexuality, abortion, etc., at any cost, but will NEVER harm those who do these things nor encourage such harm.

I guess there have always been homosexual clergymen who kept it secret, but that's no answer. The Bible, no matter how questionable, is the guideline, so at least clergy should try to abide by it. Homosexuality, whilst common and certainly trendy, is unnatural and once man starts reckoning that he's bigger than God himself and can start changing the rules to suit, we're on a slippery slope. Therefore, homosexuality is a psychological disorder that would preclude them from becoming parents.

Their spiritual welfare is most paramount and two wrongs don’t make a right.

Well I do care and wouldn't be friends with a homosexual or a bisexual, etc... I wish people would use terminology correctly when dealing with this subject. I am die hard conservative protestant and homosexuality is against my religion. My husband has a lesbian grandma and I am not rude to her or her partner but she knows how I feel about it- they both do. I told them how I felt and we have a mutual respect, which is basically that one is grandma and the other is a "friend." Also that if there lifestyle starts sparking odd questions amongst the boys then my hubby and I will probably discontinue visiting, etc... We don't really see her often anyways so it probably won't be an issue. So there it is and I'm sure I'll be bashed eventhough I haven't bashed anyone elses opinions on the matter.

The book doesn't tell the whole story. Silo the "gay" penguin eventually left Roy for a female named Scrappy. Silo is now happily coupled with a female, which is so heartening b/c it proves that homosexuality can indeed be cured!

As for Tango, she grew up and coupled with a female penguin, which shows how harmful homosexual adoption can be to children. Tango had none of the genes of her adopted parents, but was raised in a homosexual environment and so became a homosexual herself. Homosexuality does not occur naturally, it must ultimately be a choice on the part of the individual. If it occurred naturally in the gene pool, then it would pass away within one generation since homosexuals are incapable of reproducing.

This is a response to your comment on my video, which I dissapproved because I have to be consistent with the rule on my front page.
Jesus Christ mentioned homosexuality in the OT and in the books to the churches. As I said in my vid, the Bible is inspired by God; Jesus Christ IS God, and thus, Jesus did mention homoesexuality.
In the gospel accounts of Jesus Christ, there is no mention of Him speaking on homosexuality. However, that does not mean He did not speak on it, and that also does not mean that the rest of the verses in the Bible that address the topic are not validated.
Jesus Christ validated the OT all throughout the gospel, which contains laws about homosexuality.

I am against it because its just plain wrong, and that's all their is to it. Homosexuality is a sick perversion. In life you have to do what is right and proper. Having good morales is a step in the right direction. I really don't think you can look at this the way you want to or if you should even try. The way I see it, homosexuals are right there in the same category as sexual predators and other sexual criminals. Seems to me you are trying to take something that is very much wrong and rationalize it into being "ok". You can't do that if you have any humanity or decency in you. Gay marriage and homosexuality is wrong and always will be inspite of anything that supports it or tries to make it right.
Do you even know why people become gay. Its not because of genetics. Once you know that, then you will know that they can be brought back to normal, and that there is no reason why anyone would want to be that way. Being gay is wrong!
