I recall, going back several years now, conservatives signaling to each other with quotes from Orwell and "2 + 2 = 5" t-shirts. It's not about wanting to stigmatize weirdos; it's about not wanting weirdos forcing everyone around them to lie. It's about not wanting weirdos grooming your kids with fetish culture. It's about free speech.

Liberals want this to be about "trans people" as an identity group, but most of us out here see "trans people" as "male and female people with mental illness and/or paraphilia."

Trans is the Democratic party's Achilles' heel. The stupidest one at that. If this is the issue that causes Democrats to lose in this years election, they have only themselves to blame. And it would be the biggest political blunder in a long time, imo, once the dust settles and people look back at this point in time and were like "why the fuck did we think medicalizing girls who didn't want to grow up in misogyny and boys who wanted to play dress up was the 'progressive' thing to do?" Embarrassing...

Feminists warned them, they shut them down. Women warned them, they shut them down. Now Republicans get an easy attack that is actually real. Republicans throw around a bunch of stupid hyperbole (no one actually gets dropped off at school as a boy and picked up as a girl, c'mon), but the core of "Democrats believe men can claim to be women and go into women's bathrooms and girls should be allowed to get their breasts removed and inject steroids because they think they're boys" is true and can be verified with many sources. And to any moderate/average person that is fucked up.

Sometimes TRAs claim "trans is only 1% of the population, leave them alone!" well boy it's going to be pretty fucking embarrassing if Democrats lose because the party decided to cater to a handful of ✨stunning and brave✨ basement-dwelling gooners wearing poorly applied lipstick and cheap wigs.
