People like this don't care about what God wants. They want to use God's word to manipulate you to get what they want for their political goals. There are some on the right as well.

@Caudill Bible teaches to work. Idle hands. Their not cutting those programs for people who need. Just those who are illegal on system. Young people having babies without working. Staying single. Abortions have killed millions. Takes away from would be taxpayers. If Medicaid would require the same as Medicare, qualifications wise, there would be greatly less people. Drug addicts also on, yet, it's mainly food.

@Caudill Well, no black pastor ever got rich and famous telling blacks to be personally responsible, to obey the law, not to have children outside marriage, get a job, or don't break the law..... preaching helplessness and victimology is much more profitable...... just ask Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson or Raphael Warnock.... like Thomas Sowell said, "When you want to help people, you tell them the truth. When you want to help yourself, you tell them what they want to hear."

The passage actually says "of these MY BROTHERS" ..... Jesus is talking about FELLOW BELIEVERS helping FELLOW BELIEVERS.
Jesus is NOT talking socialism or marxist satanic beliefs.
