Parents With Inconvenient Truths About Trans #transphobia pittparents.com

[Written by the mother of a transgender daughter]

I am raging with anger when I see you dress in clothes that I would have never worn when I was working in a career I loved but gave up when you were born.

I have to go outside and scream when I hear you claim you ‘feel’ like a woman when you do not - and never will - know what it feels like to be a woman.

I want to slap you like the immature child you are when you put on that feminine voice when talking to dad and, after you leave, I watch him aimlessly flicking through the TV - stone-faced, silent, and sad.
