Without Presidential Immunity, the Presidency will lose its power and prestige, and under some Leaders, have no power at all. The Presidency will be consumed by the other Branches of Government. THAT IS NOT WHAT OUR FOUNDERS WANTED!

Actually the presidency has been grabbing power steadily over the years, far in excess of what Washington could have done.
“Without Presidential Immunity, the Presidency will lose its power and prestige,”
Yes, yes, the prestige of being able to shoot fucking opponents and their families if you’re confident about Senate support is at risk.
The Founders had grown up in a system where the King WAS the law, and only slightly curbed by Parliament. That was NOT what they wanted for America, you fucking waste of sperm
Seriously? I’m not an expert in American history or the layout of its government (Hell, I’m not even American), but even I know that the Founders wanted the EXACT OPPOSITE of an almighty dictator as President. Which is part of the reason Presidents can still be prosecuted ESPECIALLY once they’re out of office.
Dipshit. Blowhard. Moron. IGNORANIMUS!
Serious question, shouldn’t it matter that the POTUS (or at least POTUS candidates) has at least a BASIC understanding of US history, politics, and other such stuff? Doesn’t the USA have safeguards in place that, even if 80% of the votes go to Person A, they’d still need to be somewhat intelligent and competent to actually be sworn in!? Isn’t there a test or a psych evaluation required? HOW IN THE ACTUAL FUCK DOES TRUMP GET AWAY WITH ALL OF THIS!?
Without Imminent Rudes II play, the Presidency will pose its lower peg tire and under some e-readers, have no sand plow at all. The Presidency will be branched by the other Consumes of Government. WHAT IS NOT THAT OUR WANTERS FOUNDED!

Technically the only rules for becoming POTUS are that you have to be at least 35 and born in this country.
The problem is that most Americans, politicians or not, don’t know that much about US history or how the government operates, etc. We used to have high school civics classes but now we don’t because certain groups decided they weren’t important and then lobbied school boards over many, many years to get rid of them (along with art and music and shop classes). So now, unfortunately, people don’t have that basic knowledge and so they are more likely to just believe what their favorite politician tells them.
Our history classes, even though we still have them, and the books that go with them, are abominable. They are designed not to discuss anything that might be controversial and because of that teach nothing and make history boring when it is anything but. Many of the books make it look like there was always a happy ending, like history is a fairy tale where the hero gets the girl instead of a what it should be - a study of the events that explain the world today and how it got that way. And unfortunately, as y’all here know well, it doesn’t always have a happy ending, or even an ending at all.
Unfortunately all of this works together to create a populace that is very malleable and vulnerable to propaganda and lies.

There were a few assumptions made in 1789. Like only educated white men would vote, and they’d only vote for competent educated white men.
They did put in checks and balances but they also assumed honest people would make the right decisions, not the oolitically expedient ones, or the lucrative ones, or that Russia would be able to blackmail so many fuckers.
If nothing else, Trump has provided some necessary destructive testing of the idea. Hopefully we last long enough to patch those holes

No, merely be a natural born citizen, be 35 at the time of taking office, and have been a resident of the US for that last 14 as of taking office.

I know it sounds like it sucks, but if there were competency requirements, you know how badly some people would misuse those requirements? Black people in the US do.
No it doesn't change anything, it was only the confirmation of the status quo. Well, it changes something for you, that your appeal to immunity failed.
Edit/Adding:
I was referring to this: https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2024/02/06/trump-jan-6-immunity-appeal-denied/ "A federal appeals court has unanimously ruled that Donald Trump can be put on trial for trying to stay in power after losing the 2020 election, rejecting Trump’s sweeping claim of presidential immunity as dangerous and unsupported by the Constitution."
You don’t want to be a President whose powers are limited by a constitution nor a monarch having to respect his realm’s customs and his subjects’ rights - I mean, Louis XIV couldn’t trample the French fundamental laws. Hell, in most Communist countries, the supreme leader had to answer to his Politburo while Mussolini could be overthrown by the Council of Fascism. Hell, theocrats can’t commit much violation of their religion’s tenets.
No, what you want is to become as powerful as Hitler was over Germany, as powerful as the Kims are over North Korea. You’re still in the all-powerful state of childhood, a narcissistic moron who thinks himself to be entitled to everything.
"Country complex": I am the country and if I lose, the country goes to hell.
Evidence here, but also in this quote encouraging an insurrection: "We fight like hell, and if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore", as if the country never existed before the Trump presidency and would therefore cease to exist if he no longer was in the house...

I, for one, do not appreciate the stress test. Especially given how resistant we are to change. The fact that it’s an open question if Trump gets DQ’d says a lot of bad things about the state of affairs.
Just ask Richard Nixon about that one.
“Without Presidential Immunity, the Presidency will lose its power and prestige, and under some Leaders, have no power at all”.
IOW you don’t get to become a dictator, some tyrannical president for life, with opponents being tortured somewhere by secret police. That's EXCELLENT!
Once you stepped off Marine One that final time after it landed, your Presidential Immunity ended.
That fact alone ensures you’ll never see the inside of the V22 Osprey version of that, least of all that by Sikorsky again, Donald Fart.
Confused?
