Science is not an exact science.
If you look at the embarrassingly troubled history of climate change you'll find that the path from 60s to now (global cooling, global warming, climate change, climate chaos, global warming again) all have the same answer: ban evil oil.
Once you realize this, it becomes clear the whole this is a justification. Aka "hypothesis over findings" or "truth over facts" as Biden would say.
Really it's weaponized statistics.
But with the pretense of "science" people use it the same way puritan zealots religiously pushed their baseless fears into actionable destruction.
... like how anyone who dares question the stats of the pandemic is a heretic who must be silenced.

A quote on the Apollo Moon landings by Dr. Buzz Aldrin:
It is a magnificent testimony to the evolution of humankind
And he is a Conservative Christian.
I guess it's not only we Atheists who are good at destroying the arguments of those who question scientific fact .
While the only things that went wrong during Apollo 11 was the LEM's onboard chronometer (replaced by Neil Armstrong leaving his Omega Speedmaster watch there as the official mission clock) and the placing of the Stars & Stripes too close to the LEM so it would be blown over when it took off from the Moon, the fact that the Saturn V vehicle launched without a single hitch: then the process of the orbital insertion & lunar trajectory burn to landing on the Sea of Tranquility: finally to the re-entry & splashdown of the Command Module took far more than pure guesswork.
As Dr. Aldrin will tell you, it took a lot of very exact science for that to happen.

Why not go to your local hospital and ask for a tour of the ICU. Be sure to tell them you don’t want any PPE, and be sure to breathe deep. Then come back here in two weeks and discuss the stats of the pandemic.
So, I have to go to the ER every couple of months or so because I get really severe migraines. They last for about 1-3 days and I usually can’t keep any food or fluids down, so I can get dehydrated to the point that I need an IV. The last time I went, a week ago, they had two separate waiting rooms and entrances set up. One for those coming in with COVID symptoms, and one for all the rest of us. The one for me had two other people in it, both burn victims. I could see the other waiting room from where I was sitting and there was so much hustle and bustle and running around and noise and coughing and nebulizers and... well, it looked like what you’d imagine an emergency room would look like during a pandemic.
It was terrifying.

What a crock of shit. In the place I came from, before I became a Dybbuk, silencing people meant either killing or imprisoning them. Having to argue with somebody who disagrees with you is not silencing you, numbnuts; and nor is a private company's decision to refuse ads for conspiracy theories on their sites.
As for climate change, you haven't studied it very closely. You have just enough knowledge to be dangerous. If you look more deeply into the science, you'll discover things like soil erosion, desertification, and a lot of other human-made catastrophes caused not solely by over-dependence on fossil fuels but also by over-dependence on plastic and by the fact there are about twice as many people on the planet as this world can safely support.
We start working together as a species to treat this disease, rather than acting as if the recognition of climate change is merely a test of political party membership, or we ignore it and are silenced by nature.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
