I’m a white guy who grew up in middle-class suburbia. Apart from everyone’s cars and clothing being outdated, I’ve been to family gatherings and/or cookouts and such that didn’t look too different from that. The last one was at my half-black cousin’s place, so maybe that wouldn’t fit with the vision, I suppose!
