To Doomers & Gloomers:
This is going to be a lot of you all this year.
You want debt?
You want inflation?
You want a crash?
You want America to lose?
Then you will have to move to a country that already has all of this.
Did you know we were already making 700 billion in tariffs currently?
Guess what?
We are only 50 billion away from it reaching the threshold needed in order to wipe out taxes permanently for those making less than 150k a year.
Midterms are coming up so you know D. Trump is going to be making some major announcements for all of you people who wanted to jump out the window when we put sanctions & tariffs on other countries.
Are you MAGA folks tired of winning yet? 🇺🇸

And all it costed you was your freedoms, your constitution, your alliances, your global hegemony, your scientific lead, your national health, your education, your cheap agricultural workforce…
Oh don’t mind us, OP: we’re just watching whilst eating popcorn flavoured with your salt and drinking MAGAtard tears with extra Schadenfreude .
…and that’s just Democrat voters in the US. Since last year I voted for a government which your orange god wanted a deal with: guess who got the better part of that?
In Soviet Britain, Libs own you: and I’m not talking about the Liberal Democrats, but Labour .
I want America to win, sure: just not the Repubican part of that.
As it’s all falling apart for the Gang Of Paedophiles your orange Paedo-in-Chief leads, I’ve already won via Starmergeddon last 4th July: and that’s before the midterms next year.
My fellow non-rightards across the pond, your time will come soon enough.
Too soon for you gloomy Trumptards, doom-wise.

The Treasury Dept has been considering issuing “rebate” checks to Americans based on fudged figures of how much the tariffs have taken in. It’s likely the amounts will be around the amount the average American pays in taxes. They will have to borrow money to do it so it will cause inflation and create a huge debt problem down the road but it juice the economy, make it look like tarrifs are covering taxes and make Trump look good for a little while.

No, the US government is making billions in tariffs… By charging importers, who then pass on the cost to YOU (this is how tariffs work). Consider it a Trump tax; you’re now paying 15 to 20% more for everything so Trump can crow about how great he is. And because of how spending works, that means that the less you make, the MORE you’re paying.

Trumpers believe that they can replace all government tax revenue with tariff revenue, and they believe that other countries pay the tariffs, so in their minds, this will create a new system where they get 100% of their money and the US doesn’t go bankrupt.

That's the problem : the Democratic party is somehow even more hated than the Republican. One part of it is definitely that they are in the pocket of the same corporate interests (and a few non-corporate ones). Another is that their campaigns are mostly “we are bad, but better than the alternative”, which has alienated a lot of people.
Just look at how Cuomo is still running for mayor of New York, despite his loss to Mamdani. The Democrat establishment is lining up behind him.

Because Trump promised to end a system which led to massive income inequality (which he profitted off of) and since the Dem establishment just promises a return to that system, people do not care. They want change, even if it means that the country goes insane. The only ones making any inroads are people described as lefties in the US, who would be center-right or center-left in most other democracies, like Sanders, AOC or, yes, Mamdani.
The original sin for all of this appears to be the validation of corporate political donations by the Supreme Court of the US, way back when. Every politician, save a select few, is now addicted to that sweet, sweet corporate cash and defends a rotten system, or promises to blow it, with a few red herrings thrown in, to avoid addressing the actual issue of government acting on behalf of businesses and not citizens.
Confused?
