LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Middle school students in a class at Christian Academy of Louisville (CAL) were assigned to write a letter to a "homosexual friend" in disapproval of their lifestyle.

The assignment asks students to show the friend, from the Bible, reason and personal friendship "that God's design for them is good," "that homosexuality will not bring them satisfaction," and "that you love them even though you don't approve of their lifestyle."

According to CAL Superintendent Darin A. Long, the assignment was part of a unit of study that discusses "what are humans and where is their identity."

So in a class that supposed to

you’re actually using that to tell vulnerable kids that their or their friends’ identities are wrong. That’s a not a discussion, that’s you disseminating harmful church propaganda. This course should really be called “Church Propaganda”.

I have already mentioned I had a “friend” treat me this way because she was so propagandized by her stupid church that she thought I was going to hell for being me. That treatment was incredibly harmful to both of us.

So they are, um, grooming those students to hate homosexuals. How very loving of them. Do they also write letters to politicians condemning gun violence? Condemning the treatment of illegal immigrants? Condemning the treatment of single mothers? Because, with the exception of gun violence obviously, those things are all mentioned far more often in the Bible than homosexuality is. Disgusting hypocrites.

This won't end well.

Even more proof that modern Christianity is about hating queer people and not very much else. Perhaps they need to print updated versions of the Bible that only includes that one Leviticus verse, since they don't give a shit about what that Jesus guy said.

Why do they want this shit in public schools? Don’t they already go to church?

I think this is probably a private school.

But if a city teacher had students write to a fictional friend suffering from an unnamed or fictional superstition and hate-speech-based ideology, they’d immediately take it as Christain-Bashing!
