Terf is a slur/Cis is a slur: same as above, but terfs will argue up and down that terf and cis is mean and rude to them :(
I do not identify as cis. How dare you assume my identity? Fuck all the way off.
Womyn, females and males, natal women and woman born woman: the only people that use womyn or wobym etc are terfs, to make fun of gender inclusive language. The rest of the phrases are pretty self explanatory.
Trans women are not women. I resent having to use phrases like “natal women” and “woman born woman” because TRAs have colonized the word women. Female and male are the English words to denote sex. That’s… not offensive.
Male invaders: what terfs call trans women.
What else does one call a male human invading female spaces?
Libfems: mocking feminists who support trans people.
Jesus fuck, read some feminist theory.
Trans Cult/Gender Cult, Transgenderism, : terfs believe being trans is... like being in a cult? I dunno, they're weirdly obsessed with us and believe that we somehow indoctrinate lesbians or other people.
R/eggirl. The defense rests.
Women only spaces: this is a bit of a hard one because there are spaces that should be for women, yes, but terfs usually use this with other dogwhistles. Read the rest of their sentences to see if they're meaning safe spaces for women or for what they believe are women.
Yes, there are spaces that should be for women. Please stop trying to take them from us.
Dysphoric Female/Woman: run if you see this, this is a huge terf red flag. Essentially it is the claim that all trans masculine individuals, trans men etc, are just (throwing up as I write this) "women that are confused or dysphoric because it sucks to be a woman in our society". They argue that trans men, specifically, transition because they can't tell misogyny sucks. Which is dumb.
Okay, one, do y’all think you have a monopoly on dYsPhOrIa? I sometimes feel dysphoric because it sucks to be a woman in our society. I went to therapy to learn coping skills. I fucking cope, you should try it sometimes. And two, “because they can’t tell misogyny sucks?” Tell me you think women are stupid without saying you think women are stupid. TIFs know misogyny sucks, which is why they transition to try to opt out of it.
TIF/TIM: transgender identified female (trans men), transgender identified male (trans woman). More terms to completely dehumanize and disregard a trans person's identity.
You identify as transgender and you are male. How is dehumanizing to accurately describe you?
Kink critical: while this doesn't necessarily refer to trans people in general, terfs are usually 100% against any and all kink. They often liken trans women to "men having a crossdressing kink".
If it doesn’t necessarily refer to trans people, why bring it up? Is it because of all those AGP men who do have a kink and have positioned themselves as the face of your movement?
"But what of the children?!": anyone that says that trans kids are being 'forced' to take HRT or undergo surgery is a terf. Trans kids take puberty blockers, they aren't going through surgery or take HRT.
Emphasis mine. Bolded for the bold faced lie. Defense calls Dr Yeetus Teetus to the stand.
Dismissal of nonbinary identity: this one is pretty self-explanatory.
If someone could actually explain what the fuck a nonbinary identity is, other than spicy straight, I could rebut this.
Refusal to call others queer: this is also a tough one. Many people are uncomfortable with the label queer (myself included), but unlike terfs, we respect those that label themselves as queer. Terfs will absolutely refuse to respect anyone that calls themself queer. This one is another case of reading around the dogwhistle to see if there are any more.
I am suddenly reminded of those white boys in my fairly affluent suburb in 1991 who called themselves wiggas. Queer isn’t even their slur to reclaim for the vast majority of people using it. So no, I won’t respect it.
"Science says this!"/Biased study: if a terf brings in studies, they are most likely either going to be read completely wrong by them or be incredibly biased. Look for the sample size and if any other experts in the field have validated the findings. Source critiquing is an important skill to learn.
Hey, remember that study that was spread all over the TRAsphere where it was based of a single digit of self-respondents? Hey, remember when y’all got the ROGD study silenced? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
