Children can see that their fathers are generally bigger, stronger, and with louder, deeper voices than their mothers.
So if a woman happens to be unusually large, larger than the average man and/or her husband, does that signify that God chose her to be the head of her household as an exception of the rule?
Also, it is a bit distressing and oh so telling how non-chalantly she mmakes it obvious that, in truth, this is nothing but Might Makes Right petty tyranny as the Natural Order.
yet they trot off to work each day to be under authority of their bosses, and they obey the speed limit since they are under the authority of the government,
Er, you know that the same is true for men, right? And that there very much are people, very much including feminist women, fighting against what they perceive as employers and/or the government abusing their power over them?
yet forget being under the authority of the one they chose to love all of their days.
Should I propose for marriage (and I very much want to be married one day, hopefully sooner rather than later), it would most assuredly NOT be a demand for subjugation!
In 1 Timothy 2:13, was are told that one of the reasons that women are not to
usurp authority over men nor teach them was because Adam was created first. God made him first and had Adam name all of the animals.
How does being created first equate to an unquestionable authority position? Ususallly, the first try is not the best. And are we not supposed to be believed that humans are special, the Crown of Creation, with dominion over the Earth and all other lifeforms, because our species were the final creation?
@Sasha:
Actually, it is likely about humans lacking a baculum (penis bone found in many other mammals) and the perineal raphe (grove on the scrotum and underside of the penis resulting from the fusion of the fetal labia) as a scar from the incident. The “rib” is actually a rather general term for structural support structures, ancient literary Hebrew having a very limited vocabulary when it comes to sexual matters.
PS:
@Speakeasy:
I don't understand why you so desperately want to be a servant.
I am very confident in suspecting that it is because it allows her to bully other women, especially her daughters, daughters-in-laws and/or granddaughters, and likely because she is adapt in manipulating and controlling her husband through a servile persona that heavily relies on flattery and tricking him into believing her ideas were his own, probably so deeply ingrained that she is not even aware of it.
