You can't even understand what the constitution clause is about and are planning to run for president?
I agree with KZadBhat but am also adding that it's a false conspiracy theory that the church is being oppressed by the government, part of the old persecution complex. This false premise is used as a lever to then advocate for dominionism and a religious corrupt government, a theocracy. It's the same game nazis play when they demonize society and accuse the Jews.
If people become victims of those lies, it may eventually enable their leaders, who are pushing those lies hoping for control and power and to prepetrate abuses like the oppression of people they consider heretics, the censorship of non-indoctrinatory material, the protection of institutions riddled with actual systemic abuse, etc.
Well known human evil, the same reason they want to suppress the teaching of non-corrupt history, education that allows people to understand the human condition and expect basic human rights, etc.
It's not a question of practicing their faith, something that the faithful can do at home and in church already, even in private institutions and public preaching. It's a question of dictating on everyone else. Some other comments point at the fact that the clause is about religious freedom for everyone.
Then if you look behind, there's more to it than only that. The rejection of science and medicine, of facts about human effects on the environment... There's an actual conspiracy.
