In my experience, conservatives live in a world of scarcity, which makes them selfish with their resources and suspicious of thieves everywhere. They pride themselves on self-sufficiency and draw a sharp line between the worthy and the unworthy.

Liberals take a "many hands make light work" outlook on life. They see cooperation as the key to survival, and would rather be considered foolish and naive for trusting human nature than live in a cold, cruel, dog-eat-dog world where kindness is a scarce resource.
