“…and with these human beings comes a soul.”
How do you know this?
More to the point, why should I believe you know this?
“The soul appears with the person at the moment of conception, making him a complete human being from the very start.”
Then what happens with identical twins? One egg gets fertilized and later splits into two people. When does the second soul appear and how?
WHy does god put souls into bodies that he omnisciently knows will be aborted?
The Bible says life starts with the first breath. Where does it say conception?
“This is why abortion is considered murder: the abortionist has rent the soul from a living human body, the soul being the source of a full life for human beings.”
How come the Bible doesn’t punish causing a miscarriage the way it punishes murder?
“If there was no soul present in the human at the time of conception and it entered the body at some later stage, then until that moment the fetus would hypothetically be nothing more than an animated body, similar to how animals and plants are alive but without souls.”
That’s how the bible describes plants, insects, fish. Anything that doesn’t breathe through nostrils. Animated, but not alive.
That’s why Noah didn’t have to save any bugs…
“Thus, if this were the case, abortion would not be murder, but rather a termination of a non-human entity, at least until the soul finally joined the body.”
Okay. So, as long as it’s before birth and the first breath. Got it.
“However, there is no evidence that the soul can enter the body at any time later than conception.”
Identical twins. Either a soul enters later or there are two at conception. And if there are two at conception, someone planned ahead. And if someone planned ahead, they knew about the twins, but they would also know about abortions in advance.
There’s no easy way out of this…
“Since the soul is intrinsic to human beings,”
Doubt it.
“it absolutely must be present at conception and therefore abortion is murder.”
You’re just arguing backwards from the consequences you want.
