“BigBandit01: Why is it that whenever a person near a pro choicer gets pregnant, they try to pressure them into having an abortion?”
No. Not even slightly. My wife and I are both pro-choice. We have three kids. And she had one miscarriage. In some states, today, she’d have been forced to carry the dead twins to term.
But, no, pro-choicers do not pressure anyone into an abortion.
“They’re not pro choice, they’re pro abortion.”
This is a strawman.
“I see stories all of the time where people are pressuring their friends, daughters, sisters, and girlfriends into getting an abortion, but it’s never about the mother’s choice is it?”
Where do you see these ‘stories’? On perfectly neutral sites I’m terribly sure?
“It’s about pushing this evil act onto others and trying to normalize something cruel.”
It’s already normal, we’ve been having abortions for almost as long as we’ve been having pregnancies.
“No point to this post other than to call out that fact really, I don’t have any burning questions or anything.”
So, just lying. Or spreading gossip.
“It’s just ridiculous to me that someone who advocates for freedom to choose and control over their body would try to force their will on another person’s body and revoke their choice. It’s seriously messed up.”
I think you need to look more closely at those stories. I imagine after someone gets pregnant and says something like ‘this is going to screw up my degree’ or ’this’ll ruin my chances at (Phil In The Blanque)’ someone mentions that ‘abortion is an option,’ and the story you read is ‘MY advisor tried to force me to have an abortion!’
