“Science is based on the Bible,”
The Bible that says pi is 3?
“without objective truth as a basis for doing science,”
Where in science do you find objective truthiness?
We’re pretty sure that aspirin eases headaches, but it COULD just be an amazing coincidence.
We don’t have objective truth, we have a lot of consistent observations that MIGHT be overturned by one or more future observations.
Aristotle’s first law of motion, ‘all things in motion tend to come to a rest’ was an observation, but not an objective truth. Further investigations changed it.
“science is pointless.”
We still have aspirin. Maybe it’s a great big placebo, but we do have aspirin. We just can’t say that what we THINK it’s doing to the nervous system is objectively true.
“For example, without presupposing that man's reason is created by God and thus dependable, you can't do science.”
What total bullshit.
We use reason and get dependable results. Whether you worship God, Allah, Zeus, Jove, Odin, Amaterasu, Ishtar, or NO ONE AT ALL.
“That's why Hindu lands aren't into science that much, b/c they don't have Christian foundations for thinking that man is rational, and his rationality is dependable.”
Hindu lands invented the concept of zero.
That’s kind of important for higher math functions.
You’re laughably wrong.
“Science depends on Biblical presuppositions. Get over it.”
No, it really fucking isn’t. You just cannot imagine any knowledge without your invisible skybuddy.
