What would our world be like today of these top 10 spiritual truths were taught in our schools, in the mainstream media, and in our history books? [...] Change starts with each individual person recognizing these truths. We are not responsible for trying to convince others of our own truth, but instead all we have to do is to “be” truth and the rest will follow. How do we do this? Be the example by speaking your truth, and watch the world change before your eyes. By becoming responsible for ourselves, our thoughts, and our actions, we will have made one great leap toward the future of our children and the future of humanity as spiritual beings on a human journey. I could write a lot about why the claims can be put into perspective and shown to be misleading or delusional, but will focus on this instead. This is rather contradictory. What if it's fantasy, not truth? You admit that it's your own individual vision, you claim that you shouldn't try to impose it, but you want it preached in all media and even schools. What of people of other faiths who find it heretical? What of those who don't find such reality evasion and alienation helpful to them or society, who can love without this death-denial baggage, or who understand that it's a double-edged sword that has also been used to justify hate and violence, or has been used for exploitation and scams? Why is it that most people have heard of those spiritualist ideas here and there, but were not all convinced? What do you think of the separation of church and state? Why is this particular belief system _the_ necessary one and only one that can "bring peace and happiness to the world"? What of people who are happier now that they have left such fantasies, superstitions and fears behind? Should your reheated and unsatisfactory "answers to everything" stop us from actually discovering the world and reality?
For instance, working medicine is possible due to an increased understanding of our biology, of chemistry, our anatomy, metabolism, the discovery, synthesis and testing of new molecules using double blind experiments, etc. I'll address #3 due to the harmful potential: it claims that we can "alter water" with our thoughts. It is true for sound up to a certain point: it is a physical medium, the electromagnetic spectrum, directed energy particles or actual sympathetic resonance and sound diffusion, it's possible with the right instruments to reliably reproduce some effects, we do with various technologies.
But to alter reality outside of one's own brain, thoughts are not enough, we must use one's physical body. Speech is "air meat squishing" to produce sounds that a (physical) ear drum can transmit to neurons, thus establishing contact with other brains. Outside of the self-centered delusions of metaphysical idealism, reality is actually outside of our brains, even if our minds are "trapped" in our brains and subject to its health and function, our conditioning, etc. That is also why writing works as a communication medium: we use physical means to write physical clues that another person's physical organs, like eyes, can use. That shared reality, the real world, is where our bodies and brains and chemistry and physics operate...
If your body malfunctions and requires actual medicine that is available, but that you deny the necessity of medical intervention and instead rely on fantasy and false beliefs, you risk further illness or even death that may be prevented. Misleading others with your delusions could harm them in the same way if they react similarly when in need of actual, effective, evidence based medicine. The same is true with vaccines, there is no effective mind substitute to your actual body's immune system and training it to more effectively target some dangerous germs. Denying the germ theory of disease does not make germs magically vanish, they exist in the real world, like your body.
I'll end with a bit of #4 due to the same harm potential:
Focusing on negative thoughts will create a lower vibrational frequency and focusing on positive thoughts can raise the vibrational frequency. Our reality is a manifestation of what we create through thought patterns.
Focus and obsess should be distinguished. A focus on a problem is often needed to address it realistically, ignoring and denying real problems do not make them magically vanish, the same with disease. "Negative/positive" is up to interpretation, there is no actual universal scale we can use. "Positive raising vibrational frequency" is not a valid mechanic or means to anything, only simplist analogies attempting to sound fancy, woo. As for "our reality", our personal experience depends on our brain but as above, our brain is an organ in a body in the real world.
Even if you convince yourself that if you die you will not be missed in the real world, that is contradicted by your own experience of missing people when they're away or dead. Cognitive dissonance can be distressing and result from such conflicts between belief, expectation ("your reality") and actual reality.
Because evasion does not solve everything, because wishthinking does not achieve everything, not addressing real problems with real solutions in the real world can lead to discouragement, poor health outcomes, poverty, perhaps even homelessness and premature death.
Lastly, because we live in a society, how do you vote to protect rights like access to healthcare if you swim in immortality and invulnerability delusions? Time, real time, will inevitably catch up on you (your body, if you like), just like for everything. How does one positively participate in society, partake in their responsibilities, if only claiming to care about others though imaginary and indoctrinatory means? How do you help address problems like homelessness? "I love you and raise your frequencies" is unlikely to work (still an empty stomach, still empty pockets, still no roof and heat)... This reminds me of the old matches selling girl story, apologetics to just let her die of hunger and hypothermia with an attitude of "it's the path to the better 'life', the hallucinations are another 'reality'"... Is not helping her, love or egoistic cruelty? What if it was her only life, ever? What do you think about all those monks lost in their "own reality" but who still need to beg? What do you think about taxes? So is spreading your self-centered evasion ideology really good for society?
