Oh this old terrible argument! Yes, BaldingEagle, of course people who don’t agree with your bullshit are just doing it to be cool. That’s exactly it. It has nothing to do with the fact that a lot of those points you listed are *true.
This seems like a lot of projection. BaldingEagle, I think you think you’re unique and different. How many times do we see conservatives defending racist, sexist, homophobic comedy, saying that “oh wow, here’s someone new and different and edgy and none of this has been said before!!!” when it’s actually been happening for forever.

*Yes, when I was writing this I forgot to say that I don’t think guns should be banned but should be heavily regulated - I think people should treat gun licenses the way they treat driving licenses - have to take a course, take a test, require insurance, have to retest and get a new license every few years, etc. And have a registration for each gun so we can actually keep track of illegal or stolen ones, like we do with cars.
I also know that racism is not a mental illness. Racists don’t have that excuse. I think it’s stupid and it’s obviously harmful and needs to stop, period. I also don’t know about banning hate speech because I’m not sure how well it would work.
