that there are too many people, and that there are way too many of the bad people.
I actually agree with that, don’t worry. And I also agree that eugenics might become necessary in the future (especially at our current rate), it’s just that most people who advocate for it loudly are the ones who least deserve to continue on. That and I don’t really trust anyone to make the proper decision on which traits should live on, even myself.
how about the Infinity Gauntlet turns out to be real and Citizen Justin gets it?
I don’t know how you’d actualy use it, but IMO the best way to use the IG to solve a potential population boom is not to kill many people, but rather to implement something like the Genophage from Mass Effect. Reduce the overall fertility rate of humans. At least that way you can reduce the future numbers without actually killing anyone.
Granted, I’m not saying I would be qualified to make such a decision myself, but it just seems like the more humane option than what Thanos tried to do…
Anyway, I’m sure there’s a name for the philosophy that I forgot, but I do think that having babies casually should not be a basic right anymore. Say what you want, but I think that if you have a child while you cannot guarantee that child can have a fair chance at a happy future, then you’re just being selfish and shouldn’t have had a child to begin with. And believe it or not, but my mother actually agrees with me. Doesn’t stop her from loving me though.
I’m sure that what I’m saying is very controversial, but it is something I do stand by.
