They submitted 3 Amicus Briefs, 2 authors per brief, to the Court for the Obergefell vs Hodges case (same sex marriage ruling). They were all raised by homosexual parents and presented cases to the court on why children need access to both a female and a male parent and why homosexual marriage should not be granted. The SCOTUS ignored them.

There are others. Moria Greyland comes to mind. She was raised by a lesbian (author of Mists of Avalon) and a homosexual man who were a couple. There are dozens more that I have read about, but I’d need to recall the names or look them up again. If you start researching like I have, you will uncover more of them than you can imagine. All their conclusions are the same. Children need a mother and a father and same sex parenting warps kids - even when those same sex parents are loving to them. Even where there is a strong parent-child bond, these adult children still say it was an unhealthy situation.

And the ones I have read about are just the ones brave enough to put their names out there and make themselves targets for the gay mafia. They do it for the children, but some of them find that the price of publicity is just too high. Many lives have been destroyed by the gay mafia.

Earlier liberals wanted equality for groups. The Social Justice victimhood stack explicitly calls for separate moral standards for various groups, the more officially oppressed, the higher up on the hierarchy. Intersectionality can be explained as people trying to move up the stack by claiming multiple group memberships, more oppressed, so higher than the others with just one check box.

The new class structure social justice warriors are demanding results in unfair treatment based on group membership, which they see as fair because those groups are officially oppressed.

This has resulted in contradictions / double standards that are only insane if you expect them to stick to the Western standard of fairness - which they’ve abandoned.

Hate crime / civil rights rules stating that homosexual owned businesses can refuse service per their rights but Christians cannot refuse service per their oppressive faith. The Civil Rights Commission issued rulings in the same week to that effect, where a homosexual could refuse service to a traditional marriage group per his free speech but to refuse homosexual marriage was a violation of theirs.

Diversity training intentionally promotes homosexuality and transgenderism as moral, acceptable, without seeing that this is ideological proselytizing. Express conservative or traditional opinions, that is a punishable offense.

Liberals defining their views as love make conservative views hate. And Human Resource departments “trust and respect” policies used to penalize actual bullying and sexual harassment are routinely used to penalize sharing a conservative opinion because it is by liberal definition impolite, threatening, disrespectful.

Sorry, some people are going to be pissed. I got nothing against gays, just confuses me how gays are considered normal thing.

Clearly, its not meant to be. Humans are meant to reproduce.

You cant do that with the same gender as you. Some people say, "Well some animals are homosexual". And? Like nature cant have beings that are mentally ill?

Again, I got nothing against homosexuals. I've known a few homosexuals.

We proclaim the truth of the risen Lord Jesus Christ here at New Testament Baptist Church, formerly known as Conservatism Wiki. More on doctrine soon!
Core Articles of Faith

We believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is how the One True God is manifested. We reject any "oneness doctrine" and the "Jesus-only" movement as heretical.
We reject any idols or any other gods, such as Allah, Buddha, Taylor Swift, and all these other Mormon "gods" and the false gods Jehovah's Witnesses worship.
We accept the passion, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the only remission of sins, and no "hocus pocus" including "sacrificial" worship has any impact on grace.
The world is in a fallen state, and anyone who desires to be saved must accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior. We reject Universalism here.
We believe in baptism by immersion only, and only to be done upon those who are of the age of reason. Baptism is a symbolic act showing the believer buried with Christ and cleansed of sins.
Likewise, we reject any concept of "original sin" as Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, and Protestant groups understand it, and thus reject baptismal regeneration and the baptism of infants.
Men are to be the sole breadwinners, and women are to be in charge of domestic household affairs. This is godly naturally ordained gender roles.
We believe that homosexuality is an abomination in the eyes of God, and that homosexuals cannot be saved since they are vile reprobate. They are damned eternally for being homosexuals.
Abortion, capital punishment, physician assisted suicide, and other forms of killing are unequivocally condemned since God hath said "thou shalt not kill."
Racism in all its forms are likewise unequivocally condemned by New Testament Baptist Church. All creatures are created in the image of God, and one's skin color is irrelevant to one's character.
Modest attire that covers the entire body is required, and as such we do not accept the movement of men wearing shorts and women showing breasts and legs, for instance.
All forms of secular music, television, film, and literature are to be treated with the utmost scrupulosity and to be cast out if offending material is found.

I agree with a lot of what is being said. I believe homosexuality is usually related to identity trauma in childhood. There is a spiritual battle as well of course, the devil and other fallen angels want people to be confused and follow sin.

I thought I was homosexual from 14 to 18 and 1/2 years old. I went to counseling, and I finally believed It was not a born condition. There are certainly sins that increase homosexual desire (like exploring pornography), but their are wounds that make it easier to have a desire for it.

Knowing why allowed me to heal tremendously in about half a year. I used to have homosexual feelings all of the time, but now they hardly show up, and the wall that kept me from having feelings for women is very gradually moving out of the way.

But yes, not being close to God allows one to be in homosexuality more readily. I had to fix my terrible relationship with God, I was always asking for stuff, but not willing to give. I was living a double life, pretending I wasn't living in lust. It was after I began to fear hell, and turned to God for help, and received it, that I was able to change.

Not a homophobe here.

Your arguments are tired, though. The time has come to put misinformation in the past. Homosexuality is not genetic. The very idea is ridiculous and should have died in the crib.

Albanism is genetic. There are albino lab rats. We can produce them at will.

There are no gay lab rats, nor will ever there be.

Anorexia is not genetic. Homosexuality is not genetic. These are trauma-induced psychoses, and, like any psychosis, can be treated. Of course, we don't treat homosexuality anymore, but not because no one wants treatment. It is all politics.

I would like to tell you some things about Sailor Moon. I am ashamed to say that I used to watch it a lot a few years ago before I realized how warped and disgusting it was.

First of all, the Japanese and English versions are kind of different. (WELL THAT MIGHT BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT!) In the Japanese version there is a lot of homosexuality going on as well as bisexuality that parents might not understand.

For example, there is a couple who work for Queen Beryl: Zoycite (an effete/effeminate) and Malachite are both male characters in the original Japanese version, but Zoycite who is more feminine looking than Malachite was dubbed a female in the American version! They are gay! Homosexual! And I wonder if parents here in America knew if they would have been angry or just go with the flow?!

Another homosexual couple, two women called Sailor Neptune and Uranus, have a daughter in the Japanese version. However, one day when I was watching it on the cartoon network, there was an episode with both Sailor Senshi or soldiers/scouts in USA version. Sailor Uranus is the more boyish of the couple with her short, blond hair and taller, slender looks. In this episode she was dressed in a suit like a young man. AT first I thought that it was a BOY and so did the other Sailor scouts who were drooling with hearts and teardrops forming around their heads! If I noticed this blatant, in your face homosexuality -- who else did?

Well, someone must have because I haven't seen the show on television since. Good.

Some have said that Sailor Neptune and Uranus' relationship is a "parody of heterosexual relationships" because Uranus who is more male than all of the Sailor Scouts and Sailor Neptune who is more female are reflecting a warped version of family life, due to the fact that they are both women.

For instance, their daughter calls them "mama" and "papa". The male pair are a couple of the villains in the first season and the latter female pair are the good guys in the later series. There is also a great deal of -- I am not sure if I want to use this word -- pedophilia in the show. Young girls as young as 12 or 13 (8th graders mind you) are falling head over heels in love with older, wicked men. One example is the relationship between Neflite, a soldier for the Negaverse and Molly, an ordinary and virginal human girl. No wonder that girls age 12 are dating men as young as 28!

There is a lot of occult or alchemic talk in the show: quest for crystals, moon prisms, which are worn as brooches for extra power. But where are they drawing this power from? The Negaverse has power like that too. I think that it is like the idea of White and Black Magic: though both won't admit it they are tapping their power from the same source: Satan.

In the Japanese version, Sabrina's name is Usagi or Bunny because of her hairstyle. Tuxedo Mask is really Tuxedo Kamen and his princely name is Mamoru. To me there is a lot of "goddess" worship in the show, like what you would find from the ancient religions of Greece and the Mystery religions of Rome.

A lot of Sailor Moon fans deny the witchcraft element. WELL, how come Luna, the black cat can turn into a human?! It's true!

In the manga (comic) series Luna and her consort, Artemis and Diane (a kitten, their daughter) transform into their human forms in the final battle to help Sailor moon destroy an "evil" foe! In the movie version "Sailor S or Heart of Ice", Luna falls in love with a human. She is transformed into a human by Super Sailor Moon, who uses "the power of the chalice" to grant Luna's wish and to make Kakeru's (her love interest) dreams come true: She takes him on a trip to the Moon in the personage of a Princess he loves named Kaguya! Afterwards, she transforms back into a cat.

The weird thing about it is that the cats are guardians of Sailor Moon, her husband or prince, Prince Darien and their daughter Rini (American version name). Artemis, the white cat who belongs to Sailor Venus, is an exception.

There is also slight nudity during the transformation scenes when the Sailor scouts change their into their hero clothing. Some have said that this is not for sexual stimulation, which is a lie because most Japanese business men would get their "kicks" at these scenes. They also have some disgusting fetish for schoolgirl panties! They buy them from vending machines or from the girls themselves. White ones are preferred and there is a lot of that flashing on the show. I am not lying! I was shocked when I found it on a website about a year ago.

As I grow in the love of Jesus, it appears that my mind is expanding spiritually as well as I read His awesome Word. A lot of shows that I once watched I no longer care for, especially if they are in conflict with the Truth and beliefs. For instance, I no longer enjoy watching Will and Grace because I realize now that it is glorifying homosexuality and the like. A lot of shows in America do that. I no longer care to compromise my faith. And even though I may stumble along the way, I thank God for His Holy Spirit that whispers to me, reminding me what is good and lovely what is righteous and holy and what is not. He has opened my eyes.

Sailor Moon and other anime may seem harmless, but if you are a Christian, you in no way should be promoting or protecting this kind of material by saying, "It teacher adults and adolescence alike virtues" because we know that that is far from the Truth. Nothing should be a substitute for Our Sword and that is the very Word of God.

You opened up the convoluted diversion when you [not me[ said: "COMPLETELY unlike a same-sex adult consensual relationship which harms no one"!

My responses were then employed to pulverize that lie because same sex consensual relationships harm everyone especially when others are forced to accept the normalcy of such abnormal, unnatural and unhealthy relationships.

As an example, here is just one of the malevolent goals: "Present homosexuality, promiscuity and degeneracy as normal, natural and healthy." Homosexuality automatically includes promiscuity and degeneracy in one stench ridden package like a 3 point play in basketball...one shot three points.

Just a few questions: 1) if homosexuality was normal; natural; and healthy, why pray tell would it ever need to be presented as if it were normal, natural and healthy; wouldn't such presentations be superfluous? 2) if homosexuality was normal, natural and healthy, why pray tell is the cited goal above one of the 45 goals within the Communist Takeover of America given that Communism seeks to destroy America from within on its way to one world Godless; soulless; family destroying; life hating; sodomy saluting; wealth redistributing world rule?

I watch anime and it includes: drawings of men, women, and animals. It is filled with music. Women are always drawn with skimpy cloths and anime will always have at least one episode either at a beach or hot spa so they can draw the women in skimpy bating suits. Do this and putting anime characters into sexual situations is actually named and done purposely... see fan service.

Anime is prompting western dress, western schooling, western ideas, western culture. In recent anime they more than likely either adding a homosexual character in it, and/or homosexual jokes or Homosexual fan service.

So can you tell me why anime would not be haraam?

This is your trump card. You think people who don't accept the homosexual lifestyle are filled with hatred but you're wrong.
I know several Mums and Dads who have been very supportive of the son's and daughters who have decided to live out their homosexual lifestyle.
These parents would never say anything negative because they fear being branded and despised as 'Homophobic' (namecalling)
When those Parents are alone they weep because the expectations they had for their offspring has been destroyed. They are bullied by political correctness to accept whatever lifestyle choices their children make but inside they are hurting beyond measure. They are breathless with panic because the aspirations of being a family now rely on them accepting the unacceptable.
You don't love your parents you hate them. If you loved them you would accept that they can reject your lifestyle but they still love you beyond measure.
The next time your parents tell you that they really do acknowledge and accept your lifestyle choices (no, honestly we're alright with it... No we're not just saying it we really back your decisions.... Trust us we love you and are on your side)
You rotten selfish bullies have just broken your parents hearts but if they told you that they know what a temper tantrum you'll have.
Don't point the finger at me and shout your vile accusations... My concern is for your immortal soul not for the selfish lifestyle that will soon be over.

Victor Cardiss #fundie #homophobia premier.org.uk

The points may seem to have been specifically about you but I was aiming at General points about ALL homosexuals.
They are all selfish.
Your experience may be that most homosexuals that have told their parents will have found acceptance.
What I'm telling you is that those accepting parents may confide in a preacher or a close friend that they are heartbroken.
Tell me... How will their children ever know this? As far as the Homosexual son or daughter are concerned they have been accepted by loving and caring parents.
Now look at this from the parents point of view. They love their son/daughter and don't want to lose them. If they say anything negative it will cause a fracture in the relationship so they have no choice.
You and I know Homosexuals who tell the other story... "My parents kicked me out of the family home when I brought my same sex partner home and I've never forgiven them".
To answer your question... Yes... If you are a homosexual and you told your parents you were Gay you gave them no choice.
If they hadn't gone along with you and smiled broadly you would have been upset.
If they had out and out rejected your lifestyle choice you would have employed the nuclear option.
Selfish Selfish Selfish!

I'm Gay and I Oppose Same-Sex Marriage

While religion and tradition have led many to their positions on same-sex marriage, it’s also possible to oppose same-sex marriage based on reason and experience.

“I know in my heart that man is good, that what is right will always eventually triumph, and there is purpose and worth to each and every life.” These words, spoken by Ronald Reagan in 1991, are framed on the wall above my desk. As a gay man, I’ve adopted them as my own, as I’ve entered the national discussion on same-sex marriage.

I wholeheartedly support civil unions for gay and lesbian couples, but I am opposed to same-sex marriage. Because activists have made marriage, rather than civil unions, their goal, I am viewed by many as a self-loathing, traitorous gay. So be it. I prefer to think of myself as a reasoning, intellectually honest human being.

The notion of same-sex marriage is implausible, yet political correctness has made stating the obvious a risky business. Genderless marriage is not marriage at all. It is something else entirely.

Opposition to same-sex marriage is characterized in the media, at best, as clinging to “old-fashioned” religious beliefs and traditions, and at worst, as homophobia and hatred.

I’ve always been careful to avoid using religion or appeals to tradition as I’ve approached this topic. And with good reason: Neither religion nor tradition has played a significant role in forming my stance. But reason and experience certainly have.

Learning from Experience

As a young man, I wasn’t strongly inclined toward marriage or fatherhood, because I knew only homosexual desire.

I first recognized my strong yearning for men at age eight, when my parents took me to see The Sound of Music. While others marveled at the splendor of the Swiss Alps displayed on the huge Cinerama screen, I marveled at the uniformed, blond-haired Rolfe, who was seventeen going on eighteen. That proclivity, once awakened, never faded.

During college and throughout my twenties, I had many close friends who were handsome, athletic, and intelligent, with terrific personalities. I longed to have an intimate relationship with any and all of them. However, I enjoyed something far greater, something which surpassed carnality in every way: philia (the love between true friends)—a love unappreciated by so many because eros is promoted in its stead.

I wouldn’t have traded the quality of my relationships with any of these guys for an opportunity to engage in sex. No regrets. In fact, I always felt like the luckiest man on the planet. Denial didn't diminish or impoverish my life. It made my life experience richer.

Philia love between men is far better, far stronger, and far more fulfilling than erotic love can ever be. But society now promotes the lowest form of love between men while sabotaging the higher forms. Gay culture continues to promote the sexualization of all (viewing one’s self and other males primarily as sexual beings), while proving itself nearly bankrupt when it comes to fostering any other aspect of male/male relationships.

When all my friends began to marry, I began to seriously consider marriage for the first time. The motive of avoiding social isolation may not have been the best, but it was the catalyst that changed the trajectory of my life. Even though I had to repress certain sexual desires, I found marriage to be extremely rewarding.

My future bride and I first met while singing in a youth choir. By the time I popped the question, we had become the very best of friends. “Soul mates” is the term we used to describe each other.

After a couple of years of diligently trying to conceive, doctors informed us we were infertile, so we sought to adopt. That became a long, arduous, heartbreaking process. We ultimately gave up. I had mixed emotions—disappointment tempered by relief.

Out of the blue, a couple of years after we resigned ourselves to childlessness, we were given the opportunity to adopt.

A great shock came the day after we brought our son home from the adoption agency. While driving home for lunch, I was suddenly overcome with such emotion that I had to pull the car off to the side of the road. Never in my life had I experienced such pure, distilled joy and sense of purpose. I kept repeating, “I’m a dad,” over and over again. Nothing else mattered. I knew exactly where I fit in within this huge universe. When we brought home his brother nearly two years later, I was prepared: I could not wait to take him up in my arms and declare our kinship and my unconditional love and irrevocable responsibility for him.

Neither religion nor tradition turned me into a dedicated father. It was something wonderful from within—a great strength that has only grown with time. A complete surprise of the human spirit. In this way and many others, marriage—my bond with the mother of my children—has made me a much better person, a person I had no idea I had the capacity to become.

Intellectual Honesty and Surprise Conclusions

Unfortunately, a few years later my marriage ended—a pain known too easily by too many. At this point, the divorce allowed me to explore my homosexuality for the first time in my life.

At first, I felt liberated. I dated some great guys, and was in a couple of long-term relationships. Over several years, intellectual honesty led me to some unexpected conclusions: (1) Creating a family with another man is not completely equal to creating a family with a woman, and (2) denying children parents of both genders at home is an objective evil. Kids need and yearn for both.

It took some doing, but after ten years of divorce, we began to pull our family back together. We have been under one roof for over two years now. Our kids are happier and better off in so many ways. My ex-wife, our kids, and I recently celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas together and agreed these were the best holidays ever.

Because of my predilections, we deny our own sexual impulses. Has this led to depressing, claustrophobic repression? No. We enjoy each other’s company immensely. It has actually led to psychological health and a flourishing of our family. Did we do this for the sake of tradition? For the sake of religion? No. We did it because reason led us to resist selfish impulses and to seek the best for our children.

And wonderfully, she and I continue to regard each other as “soul mates” now, more than ever.

Over the last couple of years, I’ve found our decision to rebuild our family ratified time after time. One day as I turned to climb the stairs I saw my sixteen-year-old son walk past his mom as she sat reading in the living room. As he did, he paused and stooped down to kiss her and give her a hug, and then continued on. With two dads in the house, this little moment of warmth and tenderness would never have occurred. My varsity-track-and-football-playing son and I can give each other a bear hug or a pat on the back, but the kiss thing is never going to happen. To be fully formed, children need to be free to generously receive from and express affection to parents of both genders. Genderless marriages deny this fullness.

There are perhaps a hundred different things, small and large, that are negotiated between parents and kids every week. Moms and dads interact differently with their children. To give kids two moms or two dads is to withhold from them someone whom they desperately need and deserve in order to be whole and happy. It is to permanently etch “deprivation” on their hearts.

Rich Versus Diminished Lives

Sexuality is fluid for many, and much more complex than many want to acknowledge. Gay and straight activists alike pretend this isn’t true in order to fortify their positions. If they fail to maintain that mirage, fundraising for their organizations might dry up, as would the requests for television and radio interviews. Yet the “B” in the middle of “LGBT” acknowledges an important reality concerning our human sexuality.

Here’s a very sad fact of life that never gets portrayed on Glee or Modern Family: I find that men I know who have left their wives as they’ve come out of the closet often lead diminished, and in some cases nearly bankrupt, lives—socially, familially, emotionally, and intellectually. They adjust their entire view of the world and their role within it in order to accommodate what has become the dominant aspect of their lives: their homosexuality. In doing so, they trade rich lives for one-dimensional lives. Yet this is what our post-modern world has taught us to do. I went along with it for a long while, but slowly turned back when I witnessed my life shrinking and not growing.

What Now?

In our day, prejudice against gays is just a very faint shadow of what it once was. But the abolition of prejudice against gays does not necessarily mean that same-sex marriage is inevitable or optimal. There are other avenues available, none of which demands immediate, sweeping, transformational legislation or court judgments.

We are in the middle of a fierce battle that is no longer about rights. It is about a single word, “marriage.”

Two men or two women together is, in truth, nothing like a man and a woman creating a life and a family together. Same-sex relationships are certainly very legitimate, rewarding pursuits, leading to happiness for many, but they are wholly different in experience and nature.

Gay and lesbian activists, and more importantly, the progressives urging them on, seek to redefine marriage in order to achieve an ideological agenda that ultimately seeks to undefine families as nothing more than one of an array of equally desirable “social units,” and thus open the door to the increase of government’s role in our lives.

And while same-sex marriage proponents suggest that the government should perhaps just stay out of their private lives, the fact is, now that children are being engineered for gay and lesbian couples, a process that involves multiple other adults who have potential legal custody claims on these children, the potential for government’s involvement in these same-sex marriage households is staggering.

Solomon only had to split the baby in two. In the future, judges may have to decide how to split children into three, four, or five equal pieces. In Florida, a judge recently ordered that the birth certificate of a child must show a total of three parents—a lesbian couple and a gay man (the sperm-providing hairdresser of one of the lesbian moms). Expect much more of this to come.

Statists see great value in slowly chipping away at the bedrock of American culture: faith and family life. The more that traditional families are weakened in our daily experience by our laws, the more that government is able to freely insert itself into our lives in an authoritarian way. And it will.

Mark Regnerus, a sociologist at the University of Texas at Austin, recently said, “I think you can have social stability without many intact families, but it’s going to be really expensive and it's going to look very ‘Huxley-Brave New World-ish.’ So [the intact family is] not only the optimal scenario … but it’s the cheapest. How often in life do you get the best and the cheapest in the same package?”

Marriage is not an elastic term. It is immutable. It offers the very best for children and society. We should not adulterate nor mutilate its definition, thereby denying its riches to current and future generations.

Paul Weber #fundie #homophobia rightwingwatch.org

Jayson was about eight years old when it started. It’s a real-life nightmare that wounds deeply and causes every mom and dad to shudder.

Over seven years, Jayson was sexually abused by several people. One of them was a scout leader — someone he should have been able to trust.

For Jayson, these events were not only traumatic, but they began a long struggle with unwanted same-sex attractions. Sadly, he’s hardly alone in this experience. Childhood sexual abuse is common for those who struggle with homosexual feelings, temptations, orientation and identity.

The good news is that Jayson found help that reversed the course of his life. It came in the form of professional counseling that — over a period of years — transformed his life and realigned his sexual identity with his faith. In fact, it was such a positive influence for Jayson that he’s now providing pastoral coaching to those who are dealing with similar struggles and their parents. God does work all things together for good (Rom. 8:28)!

But incredibly, there’s a movement under way in our nation to ban young people from receiving the same professional counseling that turned Jayson’s life around. State by state, “gay-rights” activists are pushing bills which mandate that counseling on sexual orientation be a one-way street — toward homosexuality.

If this dangerous scheme isn’t already the law in your state, an effort to pass it is coming soon. That’s why your Family Policy Alliance is gearing up in states across the nation to prevent this assault and to push back on states where it currently exists.

While the brazenness of this push is surprising, the energy behind it is not. After all, the homosexual movement has long had as its goals: tolerance, then forced acceptance and, ultimately, punishment to those who won’t embrace their agenda. These bans on therapy for minors are an attempt to force acceptance of homosexuality right into our own homes.

Jackie is now serving the Lord with her whole heart and ministering to the lost, even though she still faces temptations ("less" now than before-her statement), she is staying close to God...by the grace of God. Thank God.

Sadly, I've noticed practicing homosexuals judging and attacking Jackie, questioning her sexuality, doubting her truth and attempting to negate and trivialize the change God has made in Jackie's life. It's as if it offends them that someone who shares their struggle can triumph over that struggle, in Jesus' name.

Why is that? Why does it offend some homosexuals when other homosexuals seek Jesus Christ, turn away from that alternative lifestyle and seek and serve God with their whole heart (despite the temptation to continue sinning)?

Selah.

Don't forget to RECOMMEND. Lets get the Truth out so that Light may shine bright in this dark place and Jesus Christ may be glorified.Even if the discussion is closed, please still RECOMMEND.

I read a church sign that said "If it hurts, then it's working". The holy Spirit convicts the lost right? So I think it might make them feel uncomfortable, maybe it stings? I don't know.

Lady Checkmate:
Yes ma'am. I thought the same thing. It's very sad.

Mick Williams:
It's probably the same reason they're coming for our kids in the classrooms; they must keep the lifestyle going at all cost. They do the bidding of their dark master because they no more believe in a devil than they do in God.

Lady Checkmate:
You're right. Many may NOT even have an answer other than to cuss and insult. I hope I'm wrong about that as I would sincerely like to know what deception the enemy uses to make them tear down another person struggling with the same temptation and coming out of it. Personally when I was back sliding, I was always happy for those who gave their hearts to Jesus Christ. Of course, it was also a reminder that I needed to get right, but still...

A Pervert Nation
Who is Really Running the World?

image

Dear Friends,

It has been a most frustrating ordeal to try to understand what happened to us. Why did we lose the Embassy of Heaven Church grounds? What did we do wrong? Today we have received revelation about the true nature of the enemy and we are now at peace.

One of the most powerful myths in this country is that the United States is a Christian nation. Forget about this being a Christian nation. That's a lie. This is a Pervert nation! Perverts are running the world.

How did the perverts take over? Simple. In the United States, no religious test is required to hold office. Article Six of the United States Constitution says, "No religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States."

That means any wicked sinner can hold office. If you're a fornicator, or idolater, or adulter, or effeminate, or an abuser of yourself with mankind, or a thief, or covetous, or a drunkard, or a reviler or an extortioner, you can hold office! Unclean persons can fill every office from lowly clerk to chief executive - no religious test required.

A bunch of perverts. Now let's say that I'm a pervert. The kind of pervert that does not obviously hurt his neighbor. Not a murderer or that kind of sinner, but one who scripturally is a pervert. What comes to mind are those known as "queers," "lesbians," or "homosexuals." There's a whole "race" of them out there, gaining in numbers. They are everywhere you look. You see them in the newspapers and out marching in parades. "They declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not" (Isaiah 3:9).

The Scripture is very clear on what is to become of them for their abomination. They shall not inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). The wrath of God is upon them because even though they know that those who commit such things are worthy of death, not only do they continue to do these things, but they also have pleasure in them that do them (Romans 1:32).

Under the law of Moses, homosexuals were to be killed. "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them " (Leviticus 20:13).

In other words, "Rid them from the earth. Don't let them even get a start." The homosexual community has already suffered Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19:24-25). Now their offspring are doing the same abominations that caused God to rain down fire and brimstone.

Now if I were a homosexual, I would not want to be reminded of God's judgment against me. I would not want Christians speaking out against me because I want to remain in sin. I will do anything to defend and justify my sin.

One way to cover my sin is to get into positions of authority. As a legislator, I can make laws that protect me from being punished or killed. Since the United States requires no religious test, I can get into office, even though I am a pervert. A person who fills an office does not need to be of high moral standing. He does not have to acknowledge God the Father or His Son Jesus Christ.

Here is my opportunity to put me and my buddies in power. We would fill government offices with perverts of all kinds. According to Webster's dictionary, a pervert is not limited to just a sexual deviant. A pervert is a person who turns from what is considered right, good, or true. A pervert changes or misapplies the meaning of something or brings it into a worse condition. A pervert leads astray and corrupts. This is exactly what we would do.

I would see that my fellow perverts are in key positions in the Executive Branch so that we can have lots of fun without being exposed. We would fill the Legislature and make laws to protect our perverted activities. We would occupy the Judicial Branch to ensure that our lawmaking is upheld. Why would we do it? Because we know what the Word of God says about us and we don't want the Word of God. We would infiltrate all three Branches and cover our sins with power.

What we sinners want to do is protect ourselves. We want to make laws to make our sin legitimate. How would we do it? By filling government offices and changing God's Word. This is our whole function. If we are going to survive in this world, we have to change the truth of God into a lie (Romans 1:25). We have to replace God's Word. We have to make our own laws.

Dead mens bonesNext, we would persuade everyone of the ultimate deception - that this country is a Christian nation. We would "cloak ourselves" with the covering of Christianity. We would clean the outside of the cup, but inside would be dead men's bones. Then we would pull the dirtiest trick of all. We would convince the professing Christians that the Bible says they are to obey the "Law of the Land." They are to obey the laws made by and for the benefit of perverts. They are to obey the "higher authorities," even though they are perverts.

There is probably no single group that has benefited more (legally) from Obama’s presidency than the LGBT community.

He accomplished far more than any other President on gay rights thanks to his two lefty Supreme Court appointments. Jewish legal power was what made Obama change his mind on gay marriage, after he initially opposed it.

Naturally much of the LGBT community in America is alarmed by a new Republican administration. But I wouldn’t expect much to happen different in the future as far as existing rights.

If people are happy being homosexual (sexual orientation isn’t usually a choice, though behavior is) and can’t live as straights I say let them do what they want and not be discriminated against but also let other voices be heard on the issue.

Contrary to what we always hear from the Jew mass media on homosexuality, there is still no evidence that homosexuals are “born that way” or anything such as a “gay gene” exists.

Most gays are people with sexual identity issues stemming from childhood abuse or other experiences. There is an ex-gay Christian movement growing in America and hopefully this can get more attention.

In A Heartbeat, declared by millions to be “the cutest thing I’ve ever seen,” is a short animated video about a young boy's middle school ‘crush’ on another boy, currently melting a few million hearts around the world each day.

Posted on Monday, the four-minute video quickly went viral. By Tuesday afternoon, it had garnered 3.7 million ‘views.’ By late afternoon Wednesday, the number of views had doubled to 7.4 million. By Thursday morning, it was headed toward 11 million views.

On the one hand, it’s popularity is no surprise. It’s a totally engaging, masterfully crafted little film, bound to receive many film festival awards. And because there’s no dialogue, it offers global appeal and reach.

Yahoo’s movie reviewer cheered it, saying, “Hopefully, given the response the short film has gotten, major studios will take notice of the fact that LGBTQ stories should be told, and that no matter your sexual identity, people can relate to those first flushes of love.”

The LGBT Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and others are showering it with praise.

Don’t be fooled!

While many inside and outside the gay world may find it heart-warming, resonating with their own inner-awkward-middle-school-boy, there’s a problem with it. A big problem.

In a Heartbeat is getting a whole lot of attention but will do a disservice to those it aims to help. It will further undermine strong, healthy — extraordinarily necessary — male adolescent relationships. Once boys and adolescents are herded toward gayness in order to deal with the very common experience of social anxiety, directed to question their sexual orientation, their sexuality risks becoming ‘re-wired.’ And once 're-wired' in that way, it's hard to undo. I should know. I was one of them.

The big problem:

An official description of the movie tells us, “A closeted boy runs the risk of being outed by his own heart after it pops out of his chest to chase down the boy of his dreams.”

The problem is this: The red-haired boy who is pictured is not a "closeted boy." The animators may think they are portraying such a boy, but they are actually telling a completely different story.

They show us a boy who demonstrates an extremely high level of social anxiety. When we first see him, he appears scared to death. He’s nervous. He’s panting. He experiences heart palpitations. He jumps behind a tree to hide from the second, dark-haired boy, and by so doing demonstrates his debilitating discomfort and inability to relate to his male classmate.

And who is the kid he’s running from, but clearly attracted to? He’s a boy who displays any easy self-confidence — the type that all socially awkward boys envy and would like to be like. He appears unflappable, problem free, in complete control. He’s so cool he can even spin an apple on one finger while walking and reading on the way to school. The fact that the red-haired boy hides behind a tree to avoid him reveals just how unnerving his feeling of not being accepted by his male peers troubles him.

Let’s be clear: Shy boys at that age aren’t searching for romance with their same-sex peers. They want just one thing and they want it desperately: acceptance. At that age, acceptance is more valuable than gold.

‘In a Heartbeat’ is a dangerous distortion.

The red-haired boy is not romantically attracted to the second boy, although that’s what the movie’s creators want you to think. He’s attracted to a boy who is his opposite, self-confident and trouble-free.

The movie’s creators misinterpret their own character: He’s not ‘closeted’ and he’s not "outed" by his own heart.’ He simply experiences a very high degree of social anxiety.

And the answer for this young man is not ‘romance’ with another boy. The answer is acceptance — to develop and persevere in friendship, and in that to find acceptance. Romance between males is a mirage, always proving to be elusive.

The movie promotes escaping social anxiety disorder by “coming out” and being “gay.” But this is an escape from the disorder, not a means of healing it in order to become whole and healthy as a person.

Dr. Richard Fitzgibbons, an expert on marital and child healing, told LifeSiteNews that the movie is “psychologically harmful to youth — not helpful to kids experiencing social anxiety disorder.”

Yet it is precisely those kids the movie is aimed at, and they are the ones put at risk by the narrative it promotes.

According to Dr. Fitzgibbons’ ChildHealing.com website, “Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) is the most prevalent of all anxiety disorders. A 2011 study of 10,000 American adolescents revealed that anxiety disorders were the most common disorder in youth, occurring in approximately one-third of adolescents.”

“SAD is a marked and persistent fear in social situations characterized by pervasive social inhibition, timidity, lack of confidence and fear. It has an early age of onset, by age 11 years in about 50 percent and by age 20 years in about 80 percent of individuals.”

Most important, “Research has shown that youth suicide risk decreases by delaying self-identifying as a homosexual. One study demonstrated that suicide risk among youth with same-sex attractions decreases 20 percent each year they delay labeling themselves as gay.”

Homosexuality: A thoroughly unsatisfying dead end for young males

Quentin Crisp, in his novel The Naked Civil Servant, identified the conundrum facing gay men: “If the Great Dark Man met me, he would not love me. If he did love me, he could not be my Great Dark Man.” In other words, Crisp is saying: “If I found the man of my dreams” — as the boy in the ‘Heartbeat’ video seems to — “no matter how attractive, masculine and virile; if he were interested in me either sexually or romantically or both, he could no longer be the man of my dreams because he would no longer be 100 percent ‘straight.’ There would be a huge chink in his armor, and he would disappoint me.” One senses the snickering of Satan somewhere in the wings behind the hopeless, discouragement-fraught dreams of many gay men. No wonder so many become depressed. This is also why same-sex marriage will evaporate over time.

Michael Glatze, now a Christian pastor and subject of the movie, I Am Michael, was a practicing homosexual and gay activist until he experienced conversion to Jesus Christ. In 2013, he married his wife. In an open letter to Ricky Martin after Martin came out, Glatze wrote, “Homosexuality is a cage in which you are trapped in an endless cycle of constantly wanting more — sexually — that you can never actually receive, constantly full of emptiness, trying to justify your twisted actions by politics and ‘feel good’ language.”

He also told his own former “lover": “God loves you more than any dude will ever love you. ... Don’t put your faith in some man, some flesh. That’s what we do when we’re stuck in the gay identity, when we’re stuck in that cave. We go from guy to guy, looking for someone to love us and make us feel OK, but God is so much better than all the other masters out there.”

The world today, influenced heavily by the LGBT community and an undiscerning media, undermines close relationships between adolescent males, causing them to question their romantic and sexual orientation. This is precisely what this video sets out to do and is why it is so dangerous.

Can’t a kid just really like another kid without it being interpreted as either romantic or sexual? ALL boys want close friendships with other boys. It’s a basic human need.

Lady Checkmate's headline: "Atheist (homosexual) Lies: "Being Black is as Sinful as Homosexuality."

This a common alt-left lie AND offensive in every way possible. They continue to conflate the two issues. Race is NOT sin, but behavior/homosexuality is sin.

I offer that it is the homosexuals who are the true racists. Consider this, I have NEVER heard a Christian state that being black is a sin; however, homosexuals regularly compare their sin to our skin color. They have essentially equated the two and said our skin color is as much an abomination as their behavior. That is an insult to every person of color in the world and a demonstration of what they think of AA people (our skin color is an abomination to them).

On the contrary, Christian abolitionists (white, black, etc. ) ALWAYS stood against racism and slavery, oft times risking their safety, lives, etc. in the process. Christians obey God and walk out His word.

Scripture DOES NOT support racism. In fact, God punished Miriam for her racism when she spoke against Moses and His black wife and God's word says that to Him there is neither black nor white/slave nor free. God is GOOD. Resist the lies of the alt-left. God loves us and is not for racism. The enemy lies and seeks to spread those lies as truth, in an attempt to draw people away from God. But not so, in Jesus name.

Are You Hateful Enough?

By David J. Stewart

Psalm 97:10a, “Ye that love the LORD, hate evil.”

image The unsaved world discourages hatred in all forms, but the Bible teaches that there is a good form of hatred—hatred against evil. In fact, God commands it in Psalm 97:10, "Ye that love the LORD, hate evil." Sadly, most professed Christians today don't hate evil like they should. Hatred is a strong word and every Christian should have a strong feeling of dislike against evil that makes us want to do something about it.

Abortion

Every born-again believer ought to hate evil in every form; such as the evil of abortion (i.e., murdering little living and growing babies). Abortion is brutal and demonic. When one stops to realize that America silently passed the 50,000,000 abortion mark in January of 2008, it's hard to fathom that 25% of our U.S. population has been holocausted. The official U.S. population for 1970 was 203,211,926.1 Since 1970, Americans have killed one-fourth of their own children. Tearfully consider that in 2004, there were 74 abortions for every 100 births in New York City. Can you imagine?

We ought not hate the people getting abortions, nor the people performing abortions; but we must hate the evil of abortion itself. To deliberately kill a child is evil. When you think of the blessings in your life, you should praise God that your parents didn't believe in abortion. Sadly, a mother's womb is the most dangerous place to be in the world today. This is a sad fact. There's not enough hatred today against abortion. God tells us to hate abortion, because abortion is very evil. If you don't hate the sin of abortion, then you DON'T love the Lord Jesus Christ.

Hateful Heathens

Ironically, it appears that some of the strongest hatred today is against Bible-believing, Christ-honoring, Christians who do hate evil as the Bible teaches. Flaming homosexual, Ellen DeGeneres, criticizes Bible-believers who “use the Bible to justify their hate.” Uh, Ellen, Psalm 97:10 does teach believers to hate, to hate evil. Hatred for sin and evil can be justified with the Bible. Ellen calls such faithful Christians, “idiotic” ...

"I don't see full-page ads saying `Stop the Hate, Stop the Violence." said DeGeneres. "These same evil, idiotic, so-called God-loving people who use the Bible to justify their hate, I'm sure still feel deep down that blacks aren't equal to whites because the Bible was also used to justify slavery."

SOURCE: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3827/is_199810/ai_n8815714

It seems that Ellen DeGeneres has quite a bit of hatred herself toward Christians who hate evil, which brings a Bible verse to mind... Proverb 29:27, “An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.” An “abomination” is hatred coupled with disgust. To the righteous man, he not only views “Sin City” Las Vegas as evil, but as repulsive and disgusting. I think Hollywood (or Hollyweird) is an abomination. It's not just saturated with sin and evil, it's a disgusting place of sick-minded perverts and demented God-haters. Walt Disney employs some of the most sick-minded, perverted, immoral, sin-loving, Bible-hating, Christ-hating, blasphemous, people in the world. That's why their shows and movies are so abominable. Most of the movies and programs Walt Disney produces nowadays are utterly offensive to any decent person. There's no garbage pail that wreaks with the stench of rot and maggots anymore than Walt Disney, Hollywood and all the other heathen movies producers of this sinful generation. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! Pay Day is Coming!

Before the Apostle Paul became a Christian, he hated the Church and persecuted and tried to destroy it (Galatians 1:13). The Word of God brings out the best and the worst in people. You either love God or you are his enemy. People either love the Bible or hate it. Jesus said that the same world that hated Him, and crucified Him, would hate us and treat us the same horrible way. Increasingly, American society and nations abroad are becoming hostile towards Christianity. People who live contrary to the Word of God know it, and therefore hate the Bible intensely. Romans 1:18, "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness." The Bible says that the wicked "hold the truth in unrighteousness." In other words, they are sinning in full knowledge of what they are doing. Ellen DeGeneres KNOWS lesbianism is a sin, and is against nature, and is abnormal and will eventually bring the judgment of God. I do not hate anyone, please know that. I only hate sin. I love sinners, because they are people whom Jesus Christ died for to pay for their sins. God loves humanity, which includes sinners too. God hates sin and evil, but he is waiting for men and women to repent (2nd Peter 3:9).

Immodesty and and Lewd Behavior

Our love for Jesus Christ is easily measured by the intensity of our hatred for sin and evil. Most people take sin lightly nowadays. It means nothing for a professed Christian woman these days to put on a miniskirt or wear a low-cut blouse. These are the sinful clothing styles of the world. 1st Timothy 2:9 and other Scriptures teach that a Christian lady ought to dress modestly as an expression of her chastity and virtuous behavior.

Hollywood female celebrities dress like sleazy-trash, whores and bimbos. I'm not trying to be unkind, I'm being moral. It is a shameful disgrace the sinful way in which American women dress immodestly nowadays, wearing tight blouses, exposing their thighs, causing men to lust in adulterous thoughts, which is adultery (Matthew 5:28). To such whorish women, it's game, a thrill a tease. They will answer to God. God tells women to dress in "modest apparel." Christian ladies ought to hate immodest clothing. Dressing seductively in public is sinful. Women and girls ought to dress in modest clothing. This is what God says in the Bible. It's rare nowadays to find women who adhere to strict Christian dress codes. Ladies ought to wear dresses. We live in a sicko society that is trying to turn teenage girls into whores. Walt Disney makes teenage girls look like whores by moral standards 50-years ago. America has lost it's respect for God, morality, the marriage, decency and Christianity. Now we've got a Muslim U.S. President who despises Christianity and won't even salute the U.S. flag during the national anthem. Sad.

What Do You Hate?

Everybody hates something. A lot of people hate the Bible. A lot of people hate Christianity. A lot of people hate a righteous person. What we ought to hate is evil. Hatred against sin is good. The unsaved world will always demonize Bible-believing Christians who hate sin. The Devil has successfully built a false religion today, that encompasses many denominations who have been taught that any form of hatred is bad. This is simply not true. God commands us as His children to HATE EVIL. That means we should hate drunkenness, fornication, whorish clothing, homosexuality, government theft and violations of the U.S. Constitution. We ought to hate lying and false advertising and cruelty to animals. We ought to hate the heathen public school system, CPS who thinks they own our children and the evil sin of divorce. We ought to hate indifference and false religion. We ought to hate movies that curse in God's name, songs and books that diminish, attack and belittle the Bible. It's seems that every movie made today has to have someone cursing in God's name. Someone told me that they like the Sylvester Stallone movie, First Blood; yet God's name is taken in vain no less than 10 times throughout the movie. The movie is evil, of the Devil and dishonors God. I hate any movie that takes God's name in vain. God created us, feeds us, gives us the health and life we enjoy, and then people go around making movies that insult God, curse in his name in anger and show utter disrespect for the Lord. No wonder America is going to Hell in a wheelbarrow. We ought to hate when anyone takes God's precious and holy name in vain.

The Jews have some crazy little thing they do, spelling God as G_d, claiming that is their way of respecting God. Yet, in total hypocrisy, they opening reject Jesus Christ as their Messiah. They are effectively atheists, because they reject Jesus as God in the flesh (John 1:1-3.14; John 10:33; I Timothy 3:16; Colossians 2:9; Revelation 1:8; John 14:1-6). We should hate the false religion of Judaism, which denies Jesus Christ as the Savior, and teaches in their Talmud that it's ok for priests to molest 3-year old girls. Why doesn't Jack Chick ever expose the Jew's false religion instead of attacking the Muslims for everything. The Muslims weren't the masterminds behind 911. We ought to hate the New World Order, which aims to destroy Christianity, eliminate true American freedom (i.e., out Bill of Rights) and bring to fruition a Communist Police State to smash resistance from Christians, patriots and those who defend the U.S. Constitution. It's frightening how insane many people get when you hand them a badge, a gun and give them authority over the common man. Then stuff like this happens. There's a million punks running around America nowadays, called police, including she-men women who belong at home baking cookies, who don't care about your Bill of Rights. They just want to smash you, take your kids and force you to comply with the New World Order's Communist agendas. You're now guilty until proven innocent. You don't have to be proven guilty to go to prison nowadays, the jury simply needs to "think" you're guilty and you're a goner. And they call that justice.

Conclusion

I could write a book on all the evils and sins which born-again Christians should hate, but that is not necessary. You have a Bible and I hope you read it. Most Christians neglect their Bible and don't read it enough (if at all). Hearing the Bible increases our faith (Romans 10:17). In discouraging times, we need to read the Bible to boost our faith. In times of loss, when our friends hurt us, family betrays us and the Devil comes after us to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10), we ought to spend more time in the Scriptures and rest upon the promises of God. God will keep His Word, His name is at stake. You can rest assure on the promises of God.

Let us hate evil and expose it wherever it is found. You don't have to be unkind to people, but you don't have to go along with the evil either. Professed Christians all across America go to Walt Disney, Las Vegas casinos, Jack Daniel's brewery, Elvis Presley's mansion, et cetera. There are all shameful places. The need of this hour is for Christians to act like Christians and get angry over sin, because the Devil's crowd doesn't care.

United HealthCare #homophobia rawstory.com

An insurer denied HIV medication to a gay man for allegedly “engaging in high-risk homosexual behavior.”

A letter from United HealthCare posted in a Facebook group for HIV awareness showed the insurer declined to pay for the man’s prescription for Truvada, which treats and reduces the risk of HIV infection and would cost up to $1,500 a month out of pocket.

“This decision is based on health plan criteria for Truvada,” the letter reads. “The information sent in shows you are using this medicine for engaging in High risk homosexual behavior.”

The insurer tells the man his plan covers Truvada only if used to treat HIV infection, reduce the risk from possible HIV exposure or potential HIV exposure for certain high-risk patients – but the man was told he didn’t fit any of those criteria.

The letter claims the decision falls under New York state law governing health care coverage — but HIV activist Jeremiah Johnson said that’s not true.

“This was a malicious attempt to discourage PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) uptake by people who need it most,” said Johnson, of the Treatment Action Group.

PrEP intervention, usually available as the oral medication Truvada, is manufactured by Gilead Sciences, Inc., which says the drug is among the most expensive they make.

Johnson said the man’s doctor appealed the coverage denial, and United HealthCare ultimately paid for the drugs — but he said the episode highlighted significant barriers to treatment.

Truvada must be ordered online and delivered by mail, which Johnson said was problematic for anyone trying to safeguard their privacy, and requires an intricate report filed four times a year by their physicians.

“This is an enormous barrier for some people,” he said.

United HealthCare has not yet responded to requests for comment.

Raw Story CEO John Byrne is the founder of Prevention Access Campaign, a nonprofit focused on improving education and access to biomedical HIV prevention, including PrEP, and United HealthCare covers Raw Story employees.

The PrEP intervention is used by up to 100,000 patients in the U.S., and can reduce the risk of HIV infection by 99 percent.

Karolina being bisexual without having been prior groomed by an adult pervert makes as little sense as Spider-Man giving birth to himself. And of course, the girl that can turn into a rainbow is made the lesbo. And a very unrealistic one at that. More realistically, she'd be cutting herself more than Nico and going from one relationship to the next every three weeks, due to massive instability and an inability to stick to one story. She'd also probably have ODD, and a tendency to be a feminazi.

So far, Karolina has displayed few if any of those typical tendencies. Another reason I have to call BS on the writers. I once dated a gal who turned out to be bi. And observed a lot of the behaviors in her that I've just described. Never again.

(Notice a trend, by the way?)

Bob #fundie #homophobia brothersroad.org

I struggled for a long time with homosexual desires — 47 years from the time my attractions first started – at various levels of involvement. For the first 18 years, it was really just envy, coveting, and curiosity, although I allowed a guy to seduce me when I was in my late teens.

My homosexual feelings really started at age 13 when a physical exam discovered that my testicles had not yet descended. In those days sex was rarely a topic of discussion and I didn’t even know what testicles were, but I knew that I was somehow different from the other boys in a way that mattered: I was a freak and I could never let anyone else know of my secret. The physical defect corrected itself within two years, but the newly created psychological defect became ever present, even throughout my adult life.

I started to envy other boys and idealize them to the point of making them idols that were to be worshipped. This worship of other boys or men turned to sexual lust. At the same time it caused me to withdraw from many of the usual interactions with males and thus prevented the normal male bonding that needed to take place for me to develop heterosexually. In short, there was a huge hole in the developmental years of my life.

(...)

I tried everything I could think of to make it go away, but nothing seemed to work. I went through periods of intense prayer, scripture reading, fasting, service to others, etc., but this didn’t remove the desire, even though I benefited in other ways. Feelings of hopelessness often led to letdowns in my previous resolve to do better.

Only with the men I met for sex did I feel I could find any comfort from my confusion and anger with myself. At one point, I even decided that the gay activists were right – that I was born that way and couldn’t change. That salved my conscience for awhile.

About this time, my wife and I learned, ironically, that our daughter struggled with homosexual desires. In searching for a support group to try to understand and help her, we found Evergreen. As we met with that group, there were a few couples who would attend where the man had been struggling with homosexuality. For the first time, I began meeting men who had overcome their homosexual desires and found peace.

(...)

In talking to them, I realized what I had missed doing during all my attempts to overcome all of this: I was trying to do it all myself! I literally thought that when the Lord said, “Be ye therefore perfect,” he meant that I had to perfect myself, including overcoming my homosexual struggles by myself. These men told me that it was only when they humbled themselves before the Lord and asked him to do all that they couldn’t do and to take their lust from them, that healing began and they found themselves free of their constant turmoil and lustful desires and behaviors.

I immediately began asking the Lord to make up for my great weakness and to take these things from me. As I would plead with him, I pictured myself kneeling at an altar with him standing on the other side in all of his glory, and I meekly asked him to take my sins and lustful desires and behaviors from me, and then I literally placed them on the altar. I expected that this was going to be a long, arduous struggle, but I was determined to see it through.

Then he did it! Within a couple of months, I woke up one morning with the sweetest feeling of peace and no raging battles or turmoil within me! As I knelt to pray, that peace increased and left me in tears as I recognized his power had healed me from lustful desires and behaviors. That was over three years ago, and hardly a day has gone past that I haven’t thanked him for his great mercy and grace in taking those things from me.

(...)

I am even more grateful that he healed me and took those inappropriate things from me. I am left with a great attraction and appreciation for other men and their various attributes, including looks. My wife and I can now even admire the same men in a humorous kind of way! I know that any of my inappropriate desires or behaviors can come back if I am not doing my part in prayer, study, remaining submissive to his will, etc.

I now feel that I know my Savior and his power through the atonement to be my strength, to help me through my trials as long as I really acknowledge him as my Savior and Redeemer. This I do and hope to do all the days of whatever life I have left. I love him with all of my heart and want nothing more than to do what he wants me to do.

Dean Bailey #fundie #homophobia lifesitenews.com

Dean Bailey, 50, is not afraid to tell anyone he is living proof that ‘sexual orientation’ can in fact be changed. But he prefers to use the word ‘restored’ rather than ‘changed.’

Bailey remembers how from an early age he felt different from other boys. He felt he did not fit in and thought of himself as awkward, out of place. He remembers never feeling treasured or affirmed by his dad who was an alcoholic and who consumed pornography. Bailey believes this began a pattern of turning to other males to find the affirmation he never received from his dad.

When a new outgoing boy began to attend school when Bailey was in grade three, he remembers trying hard to become the boy’s friend. It was during a sleepover at the boy’s house that Bailey was introduced to sexual play, including streaking and oral copulation. The experience not only robbed him of his childhood innocence, but awakened in him a sense of sexual curiosity.

From here, Bailey became preoccupied with images of male nudity and with taking more daring sexual risks with different boys. As he grew older, the sexual acts Bailey performed with other boys became as a source of comfort to him, making him believe he was being loved and accepted.

But while such acts would make him feel good for a while, he says they were never able to help him overcome the constant theme of emptiness and brokenness he felt inside. The sexual activities quickly became addictive.

When a schoolgirl refused to go on a date with him that seemed to signal to the now-teenage Bailey that he was not a normal guy. Then, a few years later, a sexually awkward one-night stand with a woman seemed to confirm to him that he did not have what it took to be a man.

Bailey was now a young man in the military. Although in the meantime he had gotten married, he continued to crave male intimacy and experience gripping same-sex attractions. An intimate but non-sexual encounter with a military male friend whom he greatly admired eventually led to explicit homosexual behaviors.

The encounter severely damaged the relationship Bailey had previously enjoyed with his wife as she felt she could no longer trust the man she had married.

Having experienced homosexual acts, Bailey now struggled inwardly with intense homosexual desires that could only be allayed through carnal gratification, or so it seemed to him. Feelings of insecurity only intensified these inclinations.

His previous homosexual experiences drove him to seek answers to his insecurities through further homosexual encounters. A downwards spiral ensued as Bailey attempted to satisfy his desires, but only saw them grow in intensity the more he indulged them. Looking back, Bailey now realizes how homosexual acts had become an addiction for him.

Bailey credits God for acting powerfully in his life to save him from himself, change his life for the good, and ultimately bring about his deliverance from homosexual attractions. God led him on a journey of trust that ultimately led to the heart of Jesus Christ. Here Bailey experienced the love, acceptance, and affirmation he had always craved.

To put it simply, says Bailey, he fell in love with the person of Jesus. He experienced Him through prayer and through reading the Bible. All Bailey wanted now was to become more like Jesus, more Christ-like. As he began acting more and more on this desire, Bailey noticed a transformation begin to take place in his sexual desires. The homosexual desires began to decrease. For the first time in his life, Bailey began to see himself differently, this time through the eyes of a Savior who — he now realized — loved him unconditionally.

Looking back on his past, Bailey says he now sees that he has been brought out of what he calls the “sexual confusion of homosexual behaviors” to a sexual clarity in mind and heart. He has left behind what he calls the “self-defeating environment of my own, very negative self-image” and moved into an unshakable understanding of his value and self worth as a beloved child of God.

Bailey wrote about his entire journey in his 2011 book titled “Beyond the Shades of Gray.” Most of the book is available online at his website. He speaks publicly about his struggle with homosexuality, telling audiences that homosexuality is a “sexual addiction and dependency,” not a condition to be socially accepted and celebrated. “It is merely one of the many evidences of the broken, spiritual condition of our human race,” he tells people.

In an interview with LifeSiteNews from Texas where he lives with his wife Della and his two college-aged daughters, Amber and Amanda, Bailey spoke about what he has gained by leaving behind the homosexual identity, the role of God in bringing about sexual healing, about his views on the Christian understanding of homosexuality, and about why stories like his are shunned by the mainstream.

Tom Brock #fundie #homophobia oneby1.org

I have struggled with homosexual temptation most of my life. By the grace of God I have always been celibate but the struggle for me has been intense. Sadly, the battle was also with my own denomination. In my 22 years as a pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America I spoke at church conventions for the Biblical standard of celibacy for those with same-sex attraction. Sadly, in 2009 the ELCA adopted a more liberal view and began ordaining practicing homosexuals. I have left the ELCA but I continue in my television ministry to uphold the truth that homosexual behavior is sin, and the fact that I struggle with this temptation does not give me license to practice the behavior.

This summer I testified before a hearing at the convention of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) as they debated whether to change the definition of marriage to include homosexual couples. I explained that I am a person who struggles with same-sex attraction but the last thing I want to see is the Church endorse a behavior that hurts people in this life and which excludes them from the Kingdom in the next (I Corinthian 6:9-11).

I stated: "Is it not arrogant to think that we are somehow more enlightened than all the Christians who came before us?" I believe it is safest to interpret Scripture the way Christians have understood it for 2,000 years and the solid testimony of church history is against homosexual behavior. The Biblical interpretation that has led some denominations astray – notably the ELCA, Presbyterian Church USA, the Episcopal Church in America, and the United Church of Christ – maintains that the Bible does not condemn homosexual behavior per se, but only promiscuous homosexual behavior. As much as part of me – my flesh – would like to believe I can legitimately engage in homosexual behavior, the Bible remains a permanent obstacle. An objective reading of Leviticus 18:22, 20:13, Deuteronomy 22:5, Romans 1:26-27, I Corinthians 6:9-11, I Timothy 1:8-10, Jude 6,7 makes clear that the Bible's condemnation of homosexual behavior is a blanket one. There is never the added caveat: But it is okay if you love each other.

At the Presbyterian convention, one pastor testified that the denomination should allow her to marry lesbians in her congregation because "If I don't I will hurt them." I responded, "No, to encourage them to engage in a behavior which will rob them of salvation, that is what will hurt them."

I was interviewed on Minneapolis radio about my struggle and the interviewer asked, "Pastor Brock, why don't you just go with this orientation as who you are." I responded, "I'm glad I didn't. I'd be dead. Many men my age who went into this lifestyle are dead." Some liberal Lutheran bishops I know believe they are being loving by affirming homosexual behavior. The truth is they are hurting people. As one old Lutheran pastor said, "They are nicing people right into hell." I can't tell you how grievous it was for me with my struggle to hear bishops endorse something that I knew was evil.

So what does one do if one suffers from same-sex attraction? I believe the answer is: fight. Nowhere are we told the Christian life will be easy. I once heard someone say "But God would never ask you to deny something so central to your make-up as homosexuality." I thought, "Why not?" If we believe in the doctrine of original sin – that we are all born sinners because of Adam's fall (Romans 5) – then indeed every Christian is called to battle the sin that is so central to our make-up. One often hears "But I didn't choose this." I can relate. I never consciously asked to have these temptations. But most alcoholics do not wake up one morning and say "I think I'll have a drinking problem." Kleptomaniacs do not say "I think I'll have a problem with shoplifting." We may not choose our temptations in life, but we do choose what we do with our temptations. To be tempted is not sin. Jesus was tempted in Matthew 4. What we do with temptation shows whether we are endeavoring to follow Christ. And, praise God, even if we do fall under temptation, there is forgiveness when we repent and turn to Christ.

What will help people who struggle with same-sex attraction? Of course, regular prayer, Bible reading and being in a good church, a church that has not compromised on this issue. But for most people struggling with same-sex attraction, the crucial key is accountability. I have been part of a Christian support group for those who struggle with same-sex attraction. If you Google "Exodus International" you will most likely find a group in your area where you can join other Christians who have this struggle. Also very important for me are the weekly phone calls I make to my accountability partner who helps keep me on the straight and narrow.

Lastly, where does homosexuality come from? Is it nature (in the genes) or nurture (in one's upbringing)? I lean toward the latter but ultimately it does not matter. Wherever it comes from, we are called upon to follow Christ and say "no" to it. As our Lord Himself stated: "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me" (Luke 9:23).

Brad Grammer #fundie #homophobia oneby1.org

Seventeen years ago, my life came to a crossroad. In my mind, I could either commit suicide or give God one more chance to change my life and bring it meaning. Prior to coming to this crossroad, I had struggled with my sexual identity as well as depression and anxiety.

My earliest recollections of being attracted to men is when I was six years old. I remember fantasizing about growing up to be a woman and marrying a man. Specific males came to my mind as I considered the kind of man I would marry. They were all muscular, handsome and confident.

Later in life, I learned that these same-sex attractions were manifestations from unresolved emotional and spiritual issues in my life. The decision I came to, at the crossroad, was that I would commit my life to Christ and follow Him. I had grown up in the Church but only at the age of twenty did I really understand that Christ died for my sins and that only through His sacrifice could I receive eternal life. In addition, I began to understand the sanctification process, whereby sins could dissipate and weaknesses could be transformed into strengths.

However, when it came to my sexuality, I had no idea how this was going to change. In fact, I didn't really think there was a possibility of changing my sexual desires. I made a commitment to celibacy, choosing to live with these same-sex desires the rest of my life. I was not connected with ministries helping individuals transition out of homosexuality, and going to counseling was a scary prospect. So I focused my energies on growing in my relationship with Christ. God had specific plans for me. He brought men into my life that loved me and modeled for me what it meant to be both godly and intimate, without any hint of homosexuality. Through my close relationships with these men over a period of ten years, God brought up the unresolved issues in me that needed to be addressed.

Although there was no ministry around at that time to aid me in my journey, God did the same work in my life through relationships, a process analogous to many ex-gay ministries today. The Body of Christ became the instrument for healing in my life. The result was a complete change in my sexual desires from homosexuality to heterosexuality. Today I am married and have two sons.

For the Church to make a decision to bless same-sex unions or ordain practicing homosexuals is to communicate to me, and individuals like me, that the transformation in my life did not happen and that I am obviously in an unhealthy state of denial. As I mentioned above, I did not even know that it would be possible to change my sexual orientation, but God transformed even this area of my life!

To allow for same-sex unions and ordination of practicing homosexuals in the Church is to prevent the opportunity for individuals to even consider that a change is possible. I was an outcast once because I had homosexual desires. If the church changes its standards, I would return to being an outcast in the Church again because my experience would be invalidated. We need to turn to the truth of Scripture and believe that "With God, all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26). Let us keep our hope in God alone and remain faithful to what He has made clear in Scripture in regards to sexuality.

I began to discover and finally deal with the root causes of my same-sex attraction (SSA) – the developmental issues like abuse and bullying and other things that had inadvertently and unconsciously caused me to develop same-sex desires.

After years of trying to pray the attractions away, wish them away, trying willpower and more and more religious zeal, at last I discovered reparative therapy and books and other resources that showed me a way out. I began uncovering and healing the underlying wounds and emotional pain, and as I did, my sexual desire for men began to dissipate, then disappear.

It was a miracle – but not the overnight miracle I had prayed for all those years. It was a hard-work miracle, where God led me to new resources and support and knowledge and people. He led me through the difficult, painful work of healing that I needed to do.

Before, I was powerfully attracted to men sexually, but I didn’t like them as people. I craved their bodies and their attention, but I didn’t like men in a fraternal, platonic way. I didn’t want to be around them. I didn’t feel like one of them.

In therapy, I uncovered abuse issues and dealt with the lingering impact of peer abuse and bullying in my past, as well as my disaffection from my father and other men. I discovered how those things had put me on a track of isolation and alienation from other males and from my own masculinity that I had been unconsciously trying to heal through homosexual lust, without ever realizing that’s what was driving those feelings. I had this lust-hate relationship with men where I wanted them sexually but I had vengeful feelings for them at the same time.

(...)

I discovered I have a natural interest in women that feels good and right and pleasurable.
Before, I couldn’t feel attraction to women because I had this intense, almost compulsive desire for men that was blocking me. With that out of the way, I discovered I have a natural interest in women that feels good and right and pleasurable. I’ve been dating women for the past year or two, and I find it’s far more satisfying than my sexual desires for men ever were.

I’ll admit it’s not as intense – and to me, that’s a good thing. My homosexual desires were obsessive, lustful and overpowering. They were more about dominating other men, having power over men. There was almost a sense of revenge.

In contrast, my heterosexual desires are more peaceful, more joyful. They feel more about giving, where my homosexual desires had been more about taking. In being with a woman, I feel like I am coming from a place of wholeness. Before, when I craved men, it felt like I was coming from a wounded place, a place of emptiness. It’s very different. And so much more right for me.

I really appreciate it. The more I talk about the issue, the more receptive people are toward it. My experiences are leading me to believe that perhaps I am supposed to do something about it.

It is absolutely (and unfortunately) true that for most gay men it is simply a matter of time before they start living the lifestyle and leaving the Church. And for the most part, they feel like they have no alternative. It just doesn't make any sense to most people: be miserable for something you can hardly understand or be happy with things you can touch and feel. You have to ask yourself, if you were in that position, what would you do? Would it make any sense to sit alone at home missing out on your life? Those aren't the real options, of course, but it's the only thing gay people can see.

I don't think most members of the Church understand the unique sacrifice they expect from homosexuals. They'll say things like "well, the Church expects everyone to be chaste outside of marriage!" without really understanding what this means for the homosexual. A straight, chaste man always has a chance. There's hope. He'll find a girl that really gets him excited, he'll marry her, and he'll settle down, start a family, be happy. Even if he never does, there's always that hope. And even if he never does, he doesn't have to live his life completely outside of culture.

A homosexual on the other hand gets no choice. He's put in a situation where his only choice is celibacy for the rest of his life. There's often no hope at all. It's despair. It feels like holding your breath for the rest of your life. And you hardly even know why. Also, you never get to feel like you're really a part of culture, a part of real life. If you choose to follow the Church, you're a complete outsider. You're almost even a fake, a traitor. If you don't follow the Church, you lose your entire religion, and you spend the rest of your life mimicking the real thing.

I think the Church has a duty to explain these things to people, to show them why homosexuality is condemned, outside of appealing to scripture. She has a duty to defend philosophy that points to truth. Right now, I actually think she is failing. And I don't think it's a matter of just being full of more love, or anything like that. She has a duty to actually get down and explain the natural law.

Yes, the first thing is to "love God with all your heart and soul", then the rest follows.

Also I just want to say that I have actually been in reparative therapy. They do not "zap you" that is kind of a reference to early attempts at therapy done I don't even know how long ago. The therapy now has evolved and (if it is not outlawed) will continue to evolve, to build upon the desire to turn toward whatever heterosexual functionality a person has (most even gay men have some) and learn creative and even pleasant ways of turning away from same-sex fantasies, and making that turning away from evil a sort of routine habit that becomes "second nature". I have heard the analogy of ruts in a dirt road applied.

The more you drive through the rut with porn or even homosexual fantasy that you voluntarily stick with and daydream about, the deeper the rut gets. But if you learn to turn away from that "rut" and stay out of it as much as possible, God can and will fill in those ruts to some extent. It is different for everyone. Some have a sort of bisexuality, others have deep-seated homosexuality to the point where they are repulsed by heterosexuality. But avoiding inappropriate sexual thoughts and filling our minds with scripture and other good thoughts is key.

Lastly I just want to say that despite all God did for them, some of the Israelites ACTUALLY DID want to return to Egypt! It's a great lesson for us.

Praise God!

Homosexuality is a behavior choice. Being a certain race, gender, etc. is NOT a choice. Sin should NOT be rewarded. We love and pray for the homosexuals, but we must not reward their rebellion against God.

"The U.S. Justice Department said flatly in a legal brief that federal civil rights law does not ban discrimination based on sexual orientation."

Don't forget to RECOMMEND. Lets get the Truth out so that Light may shine bright in this dark place and Jesus Christ may be glorified.Even if the discussion is closed, please still RECOMMEND.

David Barton #fundie #wingnut #homophobia rightwingwatch.org

On today’s episode of his “WallBuilders Live” radio program, Republican political activist and Religious Right pseudo-historian David Barton blamed gay people for the high cost of health care.

“The most expensive cost for health care in America per person is not seniors, it’s not those who live to be 100 years old,” he claimed. “The most expensive health care cost in America right now, by far, individually, is for homosexuals. They cost more in the system than any other, hands down.”

“You’ll find that all over insurance stuff, they all admit it,” Barton continued. “I’m not homosexual and I don’t have those health problems. As a matter of fact, I don’t smoke and I don’t drink, so I don’t have those health problems. As a matter of fact, I really exercise a lot, I control my diet, I have very few health problems but I’m having to pay for everybody else’s health problems. If my health insurance reflected my lifestyle, my health insurance would be really, really, really cheap. But when I’m having to pay for everybody’s bad decisions.”

servantboy777 #transphobia #homophobia #fundie freerepublic.com

Yes, great news. Transgenderism is a mental disorder and should be treated like it. We cannot have folks in the military battling their own demons when trying to battle Americas. We need to call it like it is.

Furthermore, homosexuality is a mental disorder as well. Doesn’t mean we should trample their rights to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but we shouldn’t act as if it is normal. It is not.

It is against God, but even if you didn’t believe in God, it is against natural law. If anyone disputes this fact, present them with another. If all of civilization decided to turn to homosexuality rather than natural relations, that civilization will after a period of time cease to exist thus halting all homosexuality. Pretty simple really.

David Prosen #fundie #homophobia cuf.org

My family consisted of my father, mother, and my younger sister, Darlene. My mother and I always had a good relationship, but my father and I did not. He was an alcoholic and often physically abused me.

While growing up, my Dad tried to teach me the things in life that he enjoyed, such as carpentry and landscaping. However, it would always end with him losing his patience, screaming obscenities, and calling me names. My dad never taught me sports such as baseball or football. At school, when it was time to divide in teams, I was one of the last picked. The team that ended up having me loudly complained and made it clear that I was not like them.

Everything associated with masculinity brought me much panic. As a child, I didn’t enjoy playing with cars and toy guns. Instead, I enjoyed role-playing games such as house and, yes, even dolls. For as long as I can remember, I had an attraction to the same gender. When I reached puberty this attraction intensified and brought me much turmoil. This confirmed to me that my male peers were right; I was different.

At about age 15, an older male befriended me. I began to look up to him as an older brother. One night, this friendship was betrayed when he took advantage of me sexually. He played many mind games and emotionally abused me. I sank into a deep despair as this sinful behavior continued for three months. I then decided to give Jesus a chance. At first, I was on an emotional high, but despite my years of catechism classes, I didn’t understand my faith or the sacraments. For example, I didn’t recognize the sustaining power of the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. When the emotional high left, I became very lonely and felt once again that I didn’t fit in.

I began using marijuana and alcohol to help numb the pain. Once I turned 18, I went to my first gay bar. At first it was exhilarating. I felt like I finally could be myself, but the emptiness only worsened and I relied even more heavily on substances to help deal with the pain. I had lived an active “gay” life for two years, but was given a special grace and realized how sinful I had been. From this point on I turned my life over to Christ several times, but again, still not understanding that conversion is an ongoing, daily process by which God’s grace transforms us. I would always end up falling back into the bondage of sin and heading deeper into darkness. After one of these falls, I learned of places where one could go to have promiscuous sex. I so desperately wanted to be held and loved that I fell into a horrendous cycle of addiction. I would want to be held, fall into sin, feel worse, do it
again to feel better, feel even worse, and on and on and on.

In the midst of all this pain, the worst was about to happen. My sister, whom I had become very close to, suddenly collapsed with a heart attack and died instantly at the age of 21. After working through some of the grief, her death forced me to face my own mortality. I needed to seriously work at building a strong foundation on Christ, instead of looking for the emotional highs that I had depended on in the past.

I was chaste for five and half years by His grace and some awesome things started happening. I quit alcohol and drugs and completely dropped out of the “gay” scene. Also, God helped me forgive my dad and the relationship between us improved.

But I wasn’t able to see these amazing things God was doing because every day was a living hell for me filled with shame. I begged God many times every day for a cure, but the attraction never went away. Some people said, “You don’t have enough faith.” Others said, “You must be sinning in some other area of your life.” These statements only added to my shame. One day, a friend of mine said, “David, maybe God isn’t curing you because maybe there isn’t anything wrong with being homosexual.” After much thought, I decided she might be right.

Although I went back into living a life of sin, I believe God used this imperfect situation to teach me some truths about what love really is. He never let go of me, even when I let go of Him. One day, I felt God say to my heart, “Yes, you never chose this attraction, but you can choose whether or not you will act on it.” I picked up the Catechism and learned that this was a cross, and that we all have our crosses to carry. “Then Jesus told his
disciples, ‘If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me” (Mt. 16:24). He gives us the graces to carry our crosses; all we have to do is ask Him and be open to these graces. If it weren’t for crosses such as Darlene’s death, I am sure that I would be spiritually and physically dead.

By God’s grace I have been chaste for 5 years and this time there is no shame . . . praise God! I enrolled at Franciscan University of Steubenville last year and, since then, the Lord has been leading me on a journey of healing. The Lord had shown me that I was harboring anger toward my childhood male peers who mocked me and teased me. I learned that I transferred this anger toward any male that was perceived by me as extremely macho. By God’s grace, I have let go of this anger and so many tremendous things have been happening.

For a paper in my Christian Moral Principles class, I read Dr. Gerard J.M. Van Den Aardweg’s book, The Battle for Normality: A Guide for (Self ) Therapy for Homosexuality. The Lord used this to bring about much more healing. I learned that the attraction I had toward males was actually an admiration of those who had masculine or physical traits that I felt I lacked as a child. In puberty, this admiration became sexualized. In addition, I learned that when I was living the homosexual lifestyle, I was coveting what other men possessed. I was affirmed when men who were more masculine or attractive than me showed and interest in me.

God has shown me that true love is not primarily about seeking affirmation, or attempting to have our physical and spiritual needs met. As Pope John Paul II says in Theology of the Body, love is a sincere gift of self, and our various needs will be met by God and others when we express love in this authentic manner.

God has brought into my life Catholic male friends who have spent time with me this past summer showing me how to throw a ball, catch, and hit. That child inside of me has been getting the affirmation he had so desperately sought. And as a result of these healings, I am feeling things toward the opposite sex that I haven’t felt before. Do I still struggle with same-sex attraction? Yes, but the attractions are less intense. I don’t know what God’s will is for me, but I want to remain open to it whether it is the chaste single life or even marriage.

One thing I found very helpful in my journey is my involvement with Courage. Courage is the only Catholic support group for those with same-sex attractions that is approved by the Catholic Church. Members in Courage strive to live chaste lives in accordance with the Church’s teachings on homosexuality. During these past 10 years, I desperately sought support from other Catholics who were going through the same struggles but who wanted to live chaste lives. In my former diocese, I found little or no support, and often what support I was given condoned the sin. This has helped me realize how important it is that we promote and support Courage.

I was blessed to be able to go to the National Courage Conference this past summer and was so impressed. Our Holy Father calls Courage “the work of God.” I couldn’t help but meditate on those words as I experienced God’s love, power, and healing as attendees shared their stories with others who are on the same journey.

Some people told me that I had to be true to myself and accept my homosexuality in order to be happy. God has shown me that I am being true to myself by living in accordance with His Word. I am much happier now than I have ever been before. I no longer escape pain but, instead, I try to work through it. And each time comes growth. And with each growth comes a profound joy and peace in Jesus Christ.

David Prosen #fundie #homophobia cuf.org

I used to believe I was a “gay” person. I had been attracted to the same gender for as long as I could remember. Because this attraction was present from early on in my life, without my conscious choice, I concluded that I must have been born this way. After all, that’s a logical conclusion . . . right?

The attraction I had to the same gender when I was a little boy was normal and similar to what many boys experience. Boys look for heroes, role models who they respect and want to emulate. For me, the attraction to men started out with normal admiration but then began to take some dysfunctional turns. As a child, I was often made fun of and told by my peers that I wasn’t like them. This made me question what the difference between us was. At this point, shades of covetousness characterized my admiration. I secretly wondered, “If I looked like so-and-so, would I be accepted?”

In puberty, this attraction or admiration became eroticized. The derogative homosexual label was given to me by my peers, and I yielded to their accusations because I truly did have a sexualized same-sex attraction. Eventually, I embraced this label and called myself “gay.”

Although I didn’t freely choose same-sex attractions, I did willfully choose to act upon them. My decision to sin brought me intense pain, loneliness, and—worst of all—separation from God. The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith explained this reality in a statement that observed, “As in every moral disorder, homosexual activity prevents one’s own fulfillment and happiness by acting contrary to the creative wisdom of God. The Church, in rejecting erroneous opinions regarding homosexuality, does not limit personal freedom and dignity realistically and authentically understood.”

Eventually, in my brokenness, I responded to the Lord’s loving call to forgiveness and healing. He has brought me through the valley of shame and out of the darkness of my past and shined His light of truth upon the many lies I believed about myself—especially the one that claimed that I was a “gay” person.

By defining myself as a “gay” male, I had taken on a false identity. Any label such as “lesbian,” “bisexual,” or even “homosexual” insinuates a type of person equivalent to male or female. This is simply not true. One is not a same-sex attraction, but instead experiences this attraction.

In his book, Growth into Manhood, Alan Medinger shows that homosexual tendencies and behaviors have been around for thousands of years, but the idea of a homosexual identity only began to evolve about 150 years ago with the emergence of the term “homosexual.”

In a later study, Medinger further demonstrates his findings, revealing a number of untruths that tend to surface when one accepts homosexuality as an identity:

+I must have been born this way.

+If I was born that way, God made me this way.

+If God made me this way, how can there be anything wrong with it?

+It’s in my nature and I must be true to my nature.

+If it’s my nature, I can’t change.

+If I try to change I would be trying to go against my nature and that would be harmful.

+Accepting myself as gay feels so good—I feel like a thousand pound load has been lifted off of my back—so it must be okay.

+If people can’t accept my being gay, then something is wrong with them.

+If people can’t accept my being gay, then they don’t accept me because that’s who I am.

When I read these, I was floored. I believed each and every statement deep down to my core. When I was engaged in this lifestyle, it made perfect sense to go along with what felt natural. However, it was logical only because it appeared to be truth. In reality, lies had to be built upon lies for them to add up to something with the semblance of truth.

I believed I was gay. But I was also certain that I didn’t choose this for myself, and so I believed that God must have made me this way. However, Scripture verses like the following made no sense in light of my feelings: “If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death, their blood is upon them” (Lev. 20:13).

How could a God of love create me this way and then condemn me to hell? I began to do what many other Christians struggling with same-sex attraction do and searched for “pro-gay” theologies for explanations. I desperately wanted to be in a loving relationship with the same gender, but at the same time, I had a gnawing feeling in my heart that this was wrong.

Looking back, I believe that my search for truth and struggle against accepting this lifestyle was ultimately the way in which the Holy Spirit convicted me. Still, this gnawing feeling—that same-sex attraction was not God’s plan for my life—was not easy for me to reconcile with because I believed that my sexuality alone was my identity.

Ignorance of this distinction is dangerous. My false beliefs regarding my identity deterred me from accepting the conviction in my heart from the Holy Spirit. St. Paul acknowledged this very same process, explaining:

Because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator . . . God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error (Rom. 1:25-27).

Only after I accepted the truth that acting on homosexual attractions was a sin did I begin to ask for the strength and the grace to carry that cross—and the Lord abundantly poured these upon me. Several years later, He showed me that homosexuality was a false identity that I had embraced. And at this point, my integral healing began as I searched out who I really was. My reflections led me to the discovery that I never truly believed I was a man, and yet I didn’t think I was a woman. In that searching process, I realized that I did not fully identify with either gender.

Through the sacraments—especially the Eucharist—as well as counseling, spiritual healing retreats, and much prayer, Christ revealed to me that I am a man. I have many masculine traits that I was never aware I possessed—such as courage and strength. I can never adequately express the tremendous joy I felt when I began to internally recognize and accept the fact that I am a man, I am masculine, and I do belong in the world of men. At the same time this recognition occurred to me, my attraction to men continued to decrease drastically and my attraction to women increased.

At the beginning of this article, I mentioned the discussion over whether persons are born homosexual or if they choose to be. Neither is true because same-sex attraction is an experience—not a type of person. Accepting homosexuality as an identity, which has largely been affirmed in our culture, brings so much confusion. In order for a Christian to justify homosexual behavior, he or she needs to alter and contort Sacred Scripture.

Many individuals from within are trying to force the Catholic Church to change her stance toward homosexuality because it seems like discrimination against those who are just “being themselves.” But it is not discrimination when we identify and seek to correct falsely held beliefs.

The problem has not just effected those dissenting in our Church. There are very good Catholics and even good priests who wrongly assert that people cannot change their sexual orientation. These people may have the best of intentions, but for whatever reason they have bought into the lie that homosexuality is a type of person.

The Church’s response to those suffering with same-sex attraction offers us this perspective:

The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God’s will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord’s Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition (CCC, no. 2358).

There is hope for those who have same-sex attraction, and we must not abandon efforts to help others understand the truth. This is not to say that God will “change” His creation, the person, because He did not make them this way or intend for them to experience this attraction. Rather, God can change the person’s way of thinking by revealing the lie that the individual has accepted and assimilated into their sense of self.

Once the lie is exposed, wounds that led to this lie such as abuse, rejection, or lack of affirmation in one’s gender identity can be addressed, healing can begin, and the person’s true identity can emerge. When this healing process begins, the attraction to the opposite sex for many has increased.

Courage, the Catholic support group for those with same-sex attraction, as well as many Christians, refrain from using words such as “gay,” “lesbian,” “bisexual,” “transgender,” or even “homosexual.” Words can have powerful effects. Because these words are labels which insinuate that homosexuality is an identity, they reinforce untruths and continue to escalate the problems in our society and our Church. As Catholic Christians, I encourage each of us to be careful with our speech and eliminate the use of labels and instead use the words “same-sex attraction” which more accurately describe the experience that these men and women go through.

Quoting from an article entitled "Why Is The Left So Anti-Baby?"

"What about the Buddha? Here was a handsome prince that dumped his wife and kids and took up the contemplative life. Pretty soon there were Buddhist temples that were as big as cities where rich young men from all over could go and meditate"

Clearly the same thing has happened with the Priests and Pope. They gather together and then wind up homosexual. I guess they figure they can have sex, and no kids will pop out.

This just doesn't work well for society or religion.

Clearly many men have gotten tired of the way women behave now. The women are now abusing the men. They hit them and don't expect to be hit back. They cheat on the men and destroy them. Some of the women have turned to feminism and lesbianism and try to tell society that we don't need men anymore. No wonder we have so many homosexuals now. No wonder the men don't feel needed anymore.

Men have decided they don't want the extra burden of families now because kids are so expensive, wives are expensive, the women give the men no attention after the kids come.....then the KIDS rebel and turn on their fathers AND the mothers. They are unappreciative of what the parents did for them in life.

Why should the men waste their lives on women, and children when things are turning out so badly now.

Many women are feeling the same way. That is why there are so many abortions now. Women think they can jump into bed with all these men and hope that men will respect them for that.

It just doesn't work that way....for men or women.

Chris Sevier #homophobia dcist.com

Congressman Don Beyer says he put a rainbow flag outside his office on Capitol Hill a few months ago, shortly after he learned that a visitor to the Capitol had ripped down and stomped on a rainbow flag hanging outside Congressman Alan Lowenthal’s (D-CA) office.

The flag, which represents LGBT pride, has “a really good, simple, positive message,” the Virginia representative says. “We had at least one openly gay person working in the office and I thought it was really important for him to feel like it was a welcoming place.”

“Many people mention [the flag] when they visit, all in a positive way,” Beyer says.
But this week, Beyer learned about a lawsuit filed against him, Lowenthal. and two other representatives in federal court, calling for them to take down the flags, which plaintiff Chris Sevier calls unconstitutional.
Sevier claims the rainbow flag is a religious symbol of the “homosexual denomination within the overall church of ‘western expressive individualism postmodern moral relativism,’” and that it “promotes obscenity and sexual exploitation.”
In addition to seeking a judge to tell Beyer, Lowenthal, Earl Blumenauer (D-OR), and Susan Davis (D-CA) to take down the rainbow flags outside their office (hanging them inside would be fine, the suit says, and “the American flag can remain”), he also wants the judge to declare that homosexuality is a religion.

Kevin Swanson #fundie #homophobia rightwingwatch.org

On his “Generations” radio talk show earlier this week, radical anti-LGBT pastor Kevin Swanson declared that sexual assault in public schools “shouldn’t be too surprising” to anyone, because public schools are “so sexualized” through “sex-ed” and “homosexual indoctrination.”

“They’re talking about sex all day long; the schools are so sexualized,” Swanson said. “The fact that teachers are going to dabble” in sexual assault “should not be surprising.”

Swanson blamed the “very, very common” problem of sexual assault on the fact that “there is no Christian discipleship program” in public schools, which are “are not patterned after the Hebrew model” nor “patterned after the word of God.” Instead, Swanson lamented, “public schools are patterned after the Greek gymnasium and the Greek gymnasium involved a great deal of sexual activity, and of course laboratory experience as well. That is, the sex-ed classes usually involved some degree of laboratory experience.”

As a result, Swanson explained that “as the American public schools become more epistemologically self-conscious concerning their Greek-humanist model, that they have incorporated, you know, the classical model from the Greeks, of course they are going to have more sexualized experience between teachers and students.”

You really are sick. Never have I said "God is evil. He destroys evil by destroying homosexuals! It's righteous JUSTICE, not murder to destroy these homosexuals who "when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools"

(A non-apology to the gay community)

The Pope would like us to apologize? Why, yes, I am very happy to take the opportunity to do so.

I apologize for Fr. James Martin, SJ, and ilk who have spent a lifetime trying to advance the liberal agenda, which is the antithesis of Truth. I apologize, especially to the homosexual community, that Fr. Martin has actively sought to drive a wedge between you and the Catholic Church. I’m sorry that he’s tried so vehemently to get you to believe that Catholic Church has anything but your salvation in mind. I’m sorry that he’s actively tried to undermine your salvation by twisting the truth.

I apologize for archbishops like Blase Cupich. He has done much of the same to homosexuals. I also apologize to the babies who weren’t saved because he shunned pro-life efforts whenever he got the opportunity. Oh, I also apologize to those whom Archbishop Cupich has tried to actively shame for protecting themselves with a mean old gun. I’m really sorry to any of those who have actually used a gun in self-defense, too. I’m pretty sure that Archbishop Cupich considers you an unfortunate, overwhelming statistic.

I apologize for the Bishop McElroys of the Church for, really, anytime they open their mouths. I mean, really, at least Martin, Cupich, and Reese try to be sly. Bishop McElroy must have missed “Subtle Dissent 101” in seminary. Sadly, we have to read pieces like this ten times to determine if they are satire or not: http://www.sandiegoreader.com/news/2016/apr/23/sdqt-bishop-mcelroy-addresses-usd-drag-show/

Believe it or not, that was satire, so no angry posts on this parody. There’s plenty of reality about which to rant.

I apologize for all of those bishops who didn’t bother to teach you the Faith, who didn’t give you a vision of what life would be if you embraced your crosses and rejected temptation, and who left you to your own devices to build your own “truth” which is contra to THE TRUTH and a twisting of reality. These bishops strove for fame and likeability over your salvation.

To women, I’m totally sorry that bishops like Cupich and McElroy have marginalized your souls in their grand seamless garment plan. They couldn’t possibly put birth control and abortion ahead of war or the death penalty. Nooooooo! They have to be given completely equal treatment or not spoken of at all, or in reality, swept to the side in lieu of these issues so the spotlight could be totally on them and their overall “I heart peace!” agendas. They never stopped once to think that if violence in the womb isn’t condemned, the rest of their agenda was a pipe dream.

So, while these members of the clergy were laying down in front of weapons of war, society was waging a war on us women, and we lost. We killed our children, gave ourselves cancer, strokes and mental problems. We became hoodwinked into believing we weren’t becoming totally objectified by all of society, all while some bishops pretty much told us not to look because, well, we were killing death row inmates and waging wars. I haven’t even mentioned porn, which stems from the devaluation of all life. So, to you and my daughters, I totally apologize for these wimpy clergy who give little thought to women.

To the poor, I’m sorry that you became yet another casualty of the liberal agenda while we were being told by our liberal shepherds that most of what the Church tells us is totally subjective and that the lives of the innocent unborn are not paramount. While closing our eyes to the Truth, nobody saw you naked, homeless and alone. Many of us have no conscience because we’ve been told it’s wrong to judge. Since there are no rights and wrongs anymore, you are pretty much just another thing we’ve become blind to. Really, you just don’t make us comfortable. You’re another cross we’re going to reject and truth to which we’re going to turn a blind eye. For this, I am sorry.

To our homosexual brethren, again, I apologize for clergy who led you astray because of their own failures of chastity, humility and fortitude. Misery loves company, and they apparently wanted more company in their egocentric boat. You are the ones paying the price. Rather than teach you to embrace your particular cross and to live chastely with an eye on the ultimate prize of everlasting life, they decided to become living examples of Luke 11:11:

And which of you, if he ask his father bread, will he give him a stone? or a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

I guess that would be you, dear liberal bishops.

If it makes you feel at all better (and I’m sure it won’t), they’ve done the same thing to the rest of us for our particular crosses. “Use your internal forum!” they tell us. At least you’re not alone. I feel for you deeply. So many of us are trying to be your companions, your support, and your encouragement to live as Christ calls us to live, but we’re thwarted every turn by some of the clergy. They’re being used by Satan to whisper in your ear (if whispering was using bullhorn), “They’re judging you! They hate you! They’re saying you’re not worthy!” which is totally and utterly the opposite of what’s going on with those of us not in the Westboro Baptist club. They’re spending all of their time pitting us against each other. They’re using us as pawns in their own narcissistic plans.

You know, tragedies like the massacre in Orlando have a way of bringing people together, despite Satan’s best efforts. The complete liberal, Bill Maher, while still possessing a flawed view, caught onto this a long time ago, and it seems that homosexuals are finally starting to embrace it, too. They have made the realization that no matter what they’ve been told, Christianity is not their problem. It’s the ugliness and hatefulness of Islam (and no, not all Muslims embrace that ugly side.) Christians may disagree with the homosexual lifestyle and support traditional marriage, but it’s rather hard to deny that we believe ALL life is sacred. While I am not a Trump supporter in any manner, and I don’t support the spirit of revenge, I think this video shows a turning point in the understanding of radical Islam: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2IoTQlDh9U I’m hoping that this realization drowns out the Cupiches, McElroys and Lynches of our Church who seek to draw division among us in our time of crisis, and Archbishop Wenski is starting the flood when he really let Bishop Lynch have it here: https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/miami-archbishop-rebukes-bishop-lynchs-claim-catholics-share-blame-for-orla While McElroy and club whine about not using the term “LGBT”, I’m seeing tweets like this:

National security trumps gay marriage. Sorry. But you can’t get married if you’re DEAD.

Despite the attempts of Bishops Cupich, McElroy, and Lynch, I’m hoping this crack in the door, the mere realization that Christians don’t want to kill homosexuals, might lead to more experiences like this man who came to the realization that he was loved:

Please listen to this man’s video! It’s a beautiful and hopeful story. Odds are all people suffering from same-sex attraction will not land exactly where he has, but he’s totally correct. We’re all different. Mercy and salvation is what we all should seek. These are the only things that well ever truly make us happy.

Lastly, I’m sorry to the faithful clergy. Whenever you take two steps forward in bringing souls to Truth, you are immediately tackled by the liberal clergy and sometimes you actually lose yardage. We’re praying you pump that spiritual iron and plow right through the liberal agenda.

Enough of an apology for you?!

Amos Moses #wingnut #homophobia christiannews.net

[The Texas Supreme Court has ruled that same-sex marriages are not entitled to the same governmental benefits as opposite-sex marriages.]

SFBruce:
Since the Obergefell decision is based on the guarantee of equal protection under the law, it's not hard to understand that SCOTUS did, indeed, intend for same sex marriages to be treated exactly as opposite sex marriages, including all the rights and responsibilities. I hope this is taken to federal court, where I think Pidgeon and Hicks are likely to prevail.

Amos Moses:
no one was denied any equal protection ..... so that is a lie ..... any male regardless of his proclivities could marry any person of the opposite sex ..... and nothing else was ever promised by the law ............ fallacious argument ..........

Ambulance Chaser:
Of course there's an equal protection violation. You're just ignoring the two groups being treated unequally. It's not about who can marry who; that issue has been decided for two years (spoiler: it does violate EP to offer marriage to opposite sex couples but not same sex couples.)

The issue here is, now that same sex couples can get married, do those marriages have to confer the same governmental benefits as opposite sex marriages? Since the Texas Supreme Court has apparently never heard of Brown v. Board of Education, they ruled that the answer is "no" and that "separate but unequal" is just fine.

Amos Moses:
"it does violate EP to offer marriage to opposite sex couples but not same sex couples"

its not a violation if it applies equally .......... fail .... and you are spreading more lies ..........

Ambulance Chaser:
Dude, I've already told you...that part is settled law and is NOT what this article is about.

Amos Moses:
sure .... settled ... until it is NOT settled ..... as i have TOLD YOU ............

Ambulance Chaser:
Why do you keep changing the subject? Are you going to defend your comments or not?

Amos Moses:
you made the claim of "settled law" .... but you ... as a supposed "attorney" .............. KNOW that anything in law is NEVER settled as long as there is a client to challenge it ....... so defend your own "claim" ......... marriage was "settled law" .... no homomarriage ...... until it was not .... slavery was "settled law" ..... until it was not ....... there .... SUCCESSFULLY defended ...... care to try for some more ............

Ambulance Chaser:
"Settled law" means nothing has overturned it. Once Obergefell was handed down, it became the law, and every case that follows it has to take it into account. Courts don't rule "Well Smith v. Jones held X, but that may be overturned someday so we'll have to consider it unsettled when making this ruling..." Rulings don't work that way. Once an issue has been ruled on, THAT is the precedent lower courts follow.

Now, are we going to discuss the matter at hand, or are you going to keep throwing red herrings?

Amos Moses:
hehehehe ......... SO WHAT ........ it is settled ... UNTIL IT IS NOT ............

Ambulance Chaser:
All right, so clearly, we're not actually going to discuss this issue. You've made that abundantly clear. I give up.
