I work in a Canadian Jail and it's ridiculous how these women get treated compared to the men. They get hairdressing classes, makeup on their canteen (commissary), A bath tub on the unit, A fridge on the unit, A laundry room on the unit, 3 flat screen TVS on the unit, a treadmill and exercise room on the unit, and much better programming than the men get. I have had encounters with women not just Asian but other ethnic groups who are enthralled by white men and boosts their egos. Despite the fact these guys were not that attractive, rich, or funny but simply because they were "white" it was good enough. One of the reasons for this is media. I have always been adamant that if you aggressively push media that benefits a particular group of people, that will increase the perception that group is more viewed favorably. I'm at the poker table. Seated next to me are two white guys (sitting separately), a Hispanic guy, and me (Indian). The dealer at the table was an Asian Woman (AF) (SE Asian I believe; may have been E Asian). (to be clear, since there seems to be some confusion in the comments, at a casino the dealer does not also play in the game; unlike what happens when you play poker at a friend's place. there was no "mark" in this case).
One of the WM's is typically loud and annoying. But not obviously perceived that way to the AF dealer. He shouts out various things during the game and she seems to give him an obsequious laugh after each comment, as if he's making witty remarks. Meanwhile, she is making sure that the two white guys have checked (meaning your not betting any further this round) but completely ignoring myself and the Hispanic guy. It so happened that it wasn't the case where there was a case where you needed to think that long before betting but if it happened, she would have missed it. When that happens, there's no great way to recover; since you miss your chance to bet. This essentially would ruin your ability to take advantage of a hand if you were thinking about the bet, and she doesn't bother to see if you're still considering it.
Her "visual attention" was reserved for the white customers (I'll talk more about 'visual attention' on another post and how it's both a leading and lagging indicator, a cause and effect of racial hierarchy) - which can be a problem in poker, for the reason mentioned. It could result in the loss of a lot of money.
To cap it all off, the loud white guy lost the most. A few minutes before he left, he warned a new guy coming to the table that this Asian girl dealer was screwing things up and called her a "bitch". He didn't say it jokingly, he was kind of angry after losing a decent amount of money. Rather than call security, or ignore him or blank him for being rude, she took a beat and then laughed along as if impressed with the wit. Then preceded to chat with him flirtatiously. All this while barely doing her job correctly and not watching bets, well at least for non-white players. I'm positive if anyone else but a white male said that to her, they would be gone.
To me, this is how social racism goes way beyond the dating scene. You get these fairly overt differences in how a white worshipping woman will treat people and which behaviors are tolerated depending on the race of the customer. It's somewhat fortunate that the only place I see pigchasing AF's in the service sector is at the casino; it would be unfortunate having to deal with something like multiple times a day.

However, you can still read a racial bias in the decision to cast a FULL ASIAN in the role of what should have been a half-Korean, half-white character.
This is without even going into whatever problems the author Jenny Han might have had that led her to write a fantasy about a half-white, half-Korean girl whose boy friends are all not Asian.
In fact, this article indicates that one of the worries the author had going into the film, was that it would be white washed - ie that it wouldn't feature an Asian American woman as the protagonist but would put a white woman in her place. Obviously, she doesn't have a problem with the lack of Asian American men, because there were no Asian American men in her novels, either.

After a recent discussion on GCdebatesQT I've been thinking about the characteristics male animals demonstrate before being allowed in a group of females. To enter female spaces a male has to:
Demonstrate that every member male who is joining the females is not an active threat to the females or their offspring.
Demonstrate that there is some benefit to the females for allowing males to enter said group.
Demonstrate that they intend on ensuring that they will place no burden on the resources the females use for themselves or their offspring.
In regards to point 1 TIM's have refused to even acknowledge any of the dangers to women if they are allowed in our space. In nature if a male was threatening a female or young member of the in group you wanted to be a member of the males would kill it to protect the females and young.
In regards to point 2 I would say that there is clearly no benefit to women to allow TIM's into our spaces and instead of offering us anything they demand access because they believe we owe them protection from males and validation for their identity.
In regards to point 3 just look at their demands to use women's resources for rape and suicide counselling.
So my question is, setting aside the fact that they are attempting to colonize womanhood, how different would our conversations go if they had cared to meet any of the requirements that any other female would require?
I found GenderCritical several months ago after I saw it referred to as a vile hate sub numerous times and got curious what all the fuss was about. After spending some time lurking here, I feel extremely disconcerted. It was (and still is) very bizarre to me that posters here are classified as "hateful bigots" for little more than acknowledging basic biological reality. Meanwhile, I see the dangerous rhetoric of trans activists being espoused even by people who consider themselves part of the 'skeptic, anti-SJW' crowd. For example, I routinely see posters on subs like TumblrInAction, a place devoted to making fun of woke SJW types, come out of the woodwork to cry bigotry and transphobia anytime someone expresses any criticism of the trans movement.
I'm left wondering: how on earth did the trans cult become so widespread so fast? Why are people who consider themselves logical, rational people still buying into the bullshit? Why are people allowing mentally ill individuals dictate how we should behave and think? I refuse to believe that anyone actually considers a TIM to be a real woman, so why do people fall all over themselves enforcing everyone else to believe it? What really baffles me is the support and mindless praise heaped on TIMs when meanwhile incels are reviled by everyone. Plenty of the rhetoric coming from TRAs could very well have been said by the incel crowd. Claiming that women should be obligated to have sex with undesirable men is disgusting when Incel Ian says it, but somehow it's progressive and woke as soon as he puts on a dress and demands to be called Isabelle? WTF?
What really scares me is the sheer hatred directed at women who don't buy into the narrative. I don't even consider myself a feminist - I don't label myself as anything really - but I felt I needed to make a throwaway just to post here because of the rabid responses I got for even hinting at agreeing with some gender critical views. Is it really so hateful to say that no, I don't think "feeling like woman" makes someone an actual woman? Saying that I don't feel comfortable sharing a public restroom with a man wearing makeup is now hate speech? Can I really not acknowledge situations in which women and girls face adversity specifically because of our sex without being slandered as a 'crazy TERF'?
It's shocking to me that we have come to this point, and lurking here has opened my eyes in so many ways. I have to believe, for my own sanity, that society will eventually look back on the trans trend with a deep collective embarrassment and shame.

The Shawshank Redemption (2)? It was advertised on the side of a bus shelter 2015 or 2016, I saw it whilst walking past. I live in England, UK. The advertisement basically indicated it was a modern re-make on the classic, exact same title, different actors, obviously due to the original ones ageing. I was excited to see the new re-make. It didn't say it had already been released and you can now view it in cinemas, it stated it was coming to cinemas soon, I remember this VIVIDLY.
Anyway, I got home, I went to Google in order to get information on the exact release date, and I just couldn't find it anywhere, it's like it didn't exist. Upon the failed Google search, I thought to myself, OK.. Interesting, maybe it's not been added to Google yet, but then I thought, why would it be printed off, attached and advertised on a bus shelter but not on Google, "online" where everything happens these days? But more odd, how could it possibly say "coming to cinemas soon" and Google doesn't know anything about it? And then I thought, I've not heard or seen anyone talk about this re-make film at all, ever.
Around 3-4 days later, I was walking back past it, and the advertisement had gone, it had been replaced by something else, as much as all this was odd I didn't pay "too much" attention to it, I just noticed it was a different advertisement.
I asked several people if they've heard of the re-make movie, nobody has, I asked a friend who is a movie buff, like myself, but more so, and she had never heard of it either. I was thinking to myself, WHAT!? Wtf happened to this re-make I saw..?????
Vanishing McDonald's
So, this is a story that still trips the fuck out of my mom, dad, and me (or at least it did with my dad until he died...). To sum it up, we literally saw a McDonald's vanish in the blink of an eye as we were driving to it. There's no other way to put it. This happened years ago after my parents were done filing their taxes. In front of the tax place there was a McDonald's very directly in front in the same parking lot. We had agreed upon dining there, so we got into our car and we were driving towards it. As we were driving to it, it literally... teleported. Vanished. I don't know how to put it. My mom started getting really scared, and we pulled up to the parking lot where it should have been. It was gone. My dad was in incredible disbelief, attempting to rationalize what had just happened, and we decided to search everywhere all up and down the street for it. Nothing. My dad even brought up a question. What the hell happened to the people inside? And yes, it literally vanished in front of my eyes. It was an incredibly weird experience. Nothing even close has ever happened since then.
So to put me and my family's thoughts at rest, what the hell actually happened that day? Was it really a "glitch", or were we just collectively hallucinating the mcdonalds? And no, we weren't on drugs!

An abandoned hospital that I spent hours researching was never abandoned
About a year ago I was google researching cool abandoned places to explore in the area I lived in. It’s pretty rural where I live so I was surprised and very interested when I came across an abandoned hospital that was in the next county over. I spent a couple of hours reading about it, it’s supposed hauntings, looking at pictures, and watching videos of people exploring it. This hospital was a lot different than what a normal hospital looks like, it was only one story and was basically a giant rectangle, it was really long but not super wide, I found it weird because I’d never seen hospitals constructed like that. I really wanted to go but couldn’t find anybody willing to go with me and I’m too chicken to go by myself so I saved a link to my notes about it and pretty much forgot about it until I met somebody who said they’d be down to explore it.
So the next chance I got I went to the link I’d saved on my phone where I’d first seen it mentioned, but I couldn’t find it. That in itself wasn’t super strange because it hadn’t been mentioned in the article but in the comment section. I figured the comment chain had been deleted or maybe I’d saved the wrong link. I remembered that it had a rather distinctive name (first name, initial, last name, HOSPITAL) and I remembered the county that it had been in so I googled abandoned hospital in anywhere USA and pretty quickly found a hospital that had the right name, I looked at the google images and confirmed that it was the same place I’d been thinking of, the only problem was that it was no longer abandoned. I figured that maybe I was mistaken and spent several more hours trying to find any other hospital but I kept on getting led back to the first hospital, I couldn’t find any of the abandoned pictures and videos that I’d watched a year before.
I figured that maybe it had been reopened in the past year so I called the hospital to ask for details and was eventually transferred to the building historian (or something like that) and she told me that to her knowledge this hospital had been in operation since it was built. Now this is where it really gets weird, I asked the historian if she knew of any other abandoned hospitals in the area that I might be getting confused with and she told me that she knew of none, but that she had received a few calls from people asking the same exact thing as me over the past several months.
I’ve spent probably around ten hours searching the internet for the hospital I’d originally seen and can find no trace of it, I’ve also asked the friends who I’d tried and failed to convince to go explore it with me and most of them remembered me talking to them about it. At this point I really have no idea what to think about this whole thing.

We face systemic prejudice in the form of lookism on a daily basis. People automatically believe attractive people have better personality traits and the opposite is true for ugly people

Men are also those most likely to kill themselves over a breakup or infidelity. Men have a harder time moving on from a failed relationship. Ever listened to the traditional music in most countries? They feature stories of men who got their heart broken. Very few talk about a woman going through the same circumstances.
