More seriously, I think what they’re trying to go for is “look at all those red counties! So many conservative people are going to have voting issues! This cannot be a coincidence.” Except: 1.) Maps of the US look like this everywhere, lots of low-population red counties and a handful of high-population blue counties. 2.) Even if there wasn’t a very strong correlation between density and voting patterns, it’s not like the blue areas aren’t also being affected. 3.) One could make an argument that the states will prioritize fixing up the bluer counties, and that’s probably a bit true due for population density reasons; however, all of the states shown here are largely under Republican control except Virginia, so that would be on *their* heads if they neglected the Red counties too much. Also they have a whole month to insure voting access.
How long have "They" had this technology? The first recorded hurricane in Florida was 1523.
And the area was still getting hit by hurricane after hurricane as the states went Republican as the GOP went from the "Grand Old Party" to the "Gratuitously Oppressive Party" back in the 1950's.
So what, "They" can control the weather, but only in the area that is historically known for the exact same weather patterns, and the storms they make behave exactly as the general weather patterns have for decades? With varying levels of intensity but over time averaging toward higher, as has been predicted ALSO for decades?
If someone wanted to fuck over Republicans, wouldn't some weird extra long and slantways hurricane be better? Like landfall in Florida, up just a bit then go West till it savages Texas? Just wreck the Bible Belt. And then the aid is only hindered by Republican policies to fuck with FEMA and general governmental assistance...
