Imagine if it were illegal for a black person to say that Rachel Dolezal is white.
That's what transactivists are trying to do to women who correctly state that transwomen are men.

Most people are born with an innate feeling of being male or female; for a few of them, this doesn’t match their physical sex.
Does it ever happen that anyone is born with an innate feeling of being one particular ‘race’, which doesn’t match their at-birth skin color?
Just as there are people who are between black and white, is it so shocking that some people are between male and female? I get really sick of all this industrial strength bigotry against them nowadays, especially when it becomes such a political issue.

Okay. But we’d also make it so Joe Rogan couldn’t say someone’s not black because they’re actually brown, right?
And illegal for any election district to separate black and white neighborhoods, right?
And SCOTUS nominees would be interviewed by Skype without pictures, right? So no one treats the black and white candidates differently?
I could go for this.
Transsexuals are not trying to make it illegal for anyone to call them by the pronouns of a specific sex; they are asking - in some cases, demanding - basic courtesy. It's no skin off my back if I refer to somebody by male or female pronouns. This is true whether or not a trans woman "passes." For one thing, it's not my business.
Straw man, it's not illegal to say that someone is black. Of course, there may be situations where it would be uncalled for, like guilt by association arguments and generalization arguments. Although the argument seems to not be about skin color, afterall. Then consider other scenarios where it's a false equivalence: someone may decide to change their legal name. Someone may assert affiliation with a particular religion. Most people will not on purpose try to always contradict it whenever they see the mention of the new name or affiliation...
Confused?
