There are no pronouns in the Constitution.

Article II: Section 1 The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.
HE
shall hold
HIS
Office during the Term of four Years…
(Surprised no one tried to use ‘Original Intent’ to claim that Hillary couldn’t be president because she’s not a HE.)

We the People

Whoops!

...proving you wrong , Lavern(e).
Surely you can't be serious in not knowing about the document that is the very basis of your country's existence: especially as I, someone of the country - Britain - your first President & Founding Father who helped draw up said document fought against so as to do so know more about such than you do.
...but We - the very first word written in said document - won't be calling you Shirley, Lavern(e): We 'll be busy laughing too hard at someone who clearly hasn't even read your country's Constitution to know that there are pronouns in such, ergo proving you more than wrong.
Or perhaps that's why you haven't read such: ever. Or you daren't ...?!
...certainly now.
It would be one thing if people like this said things like “There is no ‘declaring pronouns’ in the Constitution”. Most of the time it wouldn’t mean anything no matter how profound it sounds to them, but at least it would be technically correct.
As it is, they’re just unironically engaging in the unfunniest version of “me Fail english? that Unpossible”.

Have you seen the replies? At least one defender gives a much more prolix translation of her ‘point,’ and insists that her ‘target audience’ gets that point without needing a translation.
Which just means that a bunch of dumbasses accept this factual felony at face value, without critical thought but with amotional approval.
Covefe.
You sure didn’t ace grammar at grade school, isn’t it?

She might do like in Hungary: there was no rule women couldn’t be “King”.
The premise was ridiculous as pointed out by many comments, but, if the argument was that the constitution should be an extensive list of commandments about things you should and shouldn't do for every life situation, including decent social manners, you have strange expectations...
@Titania : Just FYI, “Pharaoh” meant “great house” and referred to the seat of the government, not the ruler. The ruler didn’t actually have a specific title, though in some eras, they were considered to be a minor god. The idea that it meant “king” is a misunderstanding passed to us through us through the Greeks.
Regardless, even [mis]used as a title for the ruler, it’s a gender-nonspecific one, like “monarch” or “sovereign”. The confusion here is due to most “Pharaohs” being men, and most languages having different names for male and female rulers, so it seems like the female counterpart is missing. Again, not how the word was actually used by its culture of origin.
The last few posts here remind me, in a favorite fantasy series of mine, Piers Anthony's "Xanth," there was a long running custom or law that said the human population of Xanth must have a King as ruler. But at one point, there was a shortage of qualified people to assume the throne, so they realized there was nothing that said the King had to be male, so therefore there were several female Kings of Xanth. In fact, I believe in last few books, there's a female King and male Queen!
According to a Tweet by her, Lavern(e) Spicer 'claims' that she has never used a pronoun in her life. Well, we already know she's never read the US Constitution, so we can guarantee she's never actually read her Bible: certainly re. one of those Ten Commandments, and Revelation 21:8. Why? Here's said Tweet:

Whoops! II
Welp, better be a hardcore Atheist, Lavern(e): you surely can't be serious about going to Heaven if you think you are? Because as the above proves, again you won't be called Shirley. Or even Lavern(e).
Who'll care for your name when you'll be burning in Hell ...?!
...ergo why you'd better become a hardcore Atheist if you know what's good for you, Lil' Miss Spicy Liar .
Confused?
