The grammar of that statement makes no sense. How can one know who killed someone because no one knows the identity of the killer? It might make sense if it was Zodiac (True identity unknown yet known for their moniker and spooky hooded getup).
Also, evidence still points to Lee Harvey Oswald. Even if one were to accept the notion that something bigger was afoot, Oswald was the obvious triggerman.
And JFK Jr. is still deceased.

Jesus is like a “Get out of Hell free” card to them. They take a few verses about “Being saved by faith rather than works” waaay out of context and see J.C. as a license to be a jerkass. Since many of them believe “Once saved. Always saved”, they could care less about being genuinely moral and ethical.
All that moralizing they do is just out of being authoritarians and they probably don’t believe they are subject to those same standards (although they may pretend otherwise so folks don’t catch on or to look ‘credible’). To them, Jesus’ ethical teachings are either not really necessary or only for “The little people”.
All in all; It’s a grift and a tool for power and control. They don’t give a damn about faith and spirituality.
Funny thing is, one of the Pauline epistles warns against “Jesus the ‘Get Out of Hell Free’ Card”; It’s called “Sinning so that Grace may abound”… which is something the epistle warns AGAINST.
