The left reacts to the American flag the same way a vampire does to garlic.

Kevin would consider me a leftists.
But.
I salute the flag. I have the flag from my father’s and both grandfathers’ funerals. There will be one at my funeral. I can fold them and taught scouts how to.
I DON’T have one on my car. No need to virtue signal my patriotism. And i see so many that are sun-faded, wind-torn, muddy, and ill-maintained.
I DON’T have any clothing witha flag on it, Virtue signalling, again. And it’s against he flag code.
No lapel pins, because there’s no room beside my 10, 20, 30 and 40 year pins for FBM service.
I don’t need to draw attention to myh patriotism, i just do it.
I don’t run from the flag, but i do avoid people that wave the flag while shouting hate.

Speaking of flags on cars, etc… I tend to avoid letting the dogs I walk go in yards where there’s a flag visible. I’ve noticed that the homeowners tend to be angry - I’ve had some come out and ask what I’m doing in the neighborhood. I tell them I’m walking their neighbor’s dog but they still act weird, like they really think I’m casing the neighborhood. And I’ve seen tons of flags associated with right-wing politicians. Like the houses with flags were more likely to have Trump signs. And the ones on the cars also seem to come with a ton of bumper stickers that are hateful, like that stupid “Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve”. I’m sure they’re not all like that but for my own safety I avoid dealing with those houses and cars.

Well, of course. Nature is beautiful in that way. Many animals and plants will warn you they are toxix.
Poison dart frogs’ coloring,
rattlesnakes’ rattles,
Gadsden flags,
Trump bumperstickers,
NRA window decals,
Orange complexions,
all aposematism

Oh, right, I knew it was something metallic that hurts Fae, but was unsure what it was so I went with silver.
A character in a novel by Bram Stoker. The main character in a novel by Mary Shelley: a creation of biomechanics etc that was the first work of Sci-Fi. A genre which grew to that which is in rude health today. Which of course includes “Andromeda”, a latter-day creation by he whose ultimate creation “Star Trek” is shown somewhere in the world at any point in time, I bet you don’t react negatively to the residuals paid when that you starred in is shown: that created by Gene Roddenberry.
An Atheist.
If you don’t react to that fact Kevin Sorearse: certainly the way we would expect that of the right would financially, ergo…!
Confused?
